After the head chef lit the stove, Chi Enen said, “I also need a concave bottom pot. And could you tell where the oil is stored, please?”
“Sure.” The head chef found a suitably sized pot, placed it on the stove, and then showed Chi Enen where the oil and seasonings were stored.
Once Chi Enen had figured out what she needed, she didn’t ask for any more help. Naturally, she rolled up her sleeves, washed her hands, and took out the tomatoes and started chopping.
The pot heated up quickly, and she put down the half-cut tomatoes, first pouring oil into the pot. Then she took out the eggs, cracked two of them, stirred them evenly, added a little salt, and continued stirring.
Once the oil in the pot was ready, she poured in the eggs, fried them till they were golden crispy, then poured in water from the side, covered it, and continued slicing her tomatoes.
The whole process was thodical, clearly sothing she did frequently.
The old butler, having seen many pampered rich young ladies, couldn’t help but smile at the corners of his mouth as he watched Chi Enen straightforwardly chop ingredients and pour oil. The more he watched, the more satisfied his gaze beca.
No matter what Miss Chi’s previous identity was, now Miss Chi is already the daughter of the Habsden family. She had no obligation to cook personally for Old Master Jue, yet she agreed without hesitation. No wonder Old Master Jue’s attitude towards Miss Chi had softened so much. Indeed, aside from her status, Miss Chi is genuinely a very likable person.
