Chapter 1614: Chapter 1614: She Wants to Go to the Set
After Lin Anxin got in the car, she called Chi Enen.
The call went through just as the phone was turned off.
She guessed Chi Enen was still busy at this ti, so after pondering for a mont, she decided to send a text ssage.
Then she turned to Shanni beside her and said, “I probably won’t be able to et up with my friend until the evening. I’ll just drop off my luggage at the hotel and then head to the set. After all, I brought back so local specialty tea for Director Teng this ti.”
“You’re going to the set?” Shanni’s reaction was a bit odd.
“What’s up with the set? Is there no work today?”
“It’s not that there’s no work…” Shanni didn’t know how to explain, hesitated a bit, and mumbled, “Aren’t you starting work again tomorrow? Going to the set tomorrow to give it to Director Teng would be the sa, why make an extra trip today?”
Lin Anxin thought there was sothing wrong, but hearing this reason, she leaned back on the back of the chair with a relaxed expression and said, “I have nothing to do at the hotel anyway, just sitting around is a waste. It’s better to go to the set and get a feel for it. I might as well prevent myself from being out of the zone when work starts tomorrow.”
When it cos to shooting, Lin Anxin is quite dedicated.
She just doesn’t really enjoy attending banquets or similar events.
Shanni showed a trace of anxiety on her face, and for so reason, she couldn’t let it show, so she just kept persuading, “You really shouldn’t go, you just got off the airplane, go rest at the hotel. If you don’t rest well today, you’ll find it even harder to get in the zone tomorrow.”
“Besides, weren’t you supposed to et your friend in the evening?”
“Even if I do, it’ll be later. Okay, okay, it’s decided. I’ll drop my things at the hotel, then head to the set to give Director Teng the stuff. Don’t worry, I’ll head back to the hotel to rest right after, get a good rest, and quickly get into the zone tomorrow so I don’t embarrass my pretty agent.” She raised her hands in a gesture of surrender, then tilted her head and jokingly said, “You’re not letting go, is there a monster on the set that’s going to bite ?”
“…No.”
Lin Anxin clapped her hands, “Then it’s settled. A happy decision.”
Shanni wanted to stop her from going, but seeing her relaxed deanor, she couldn’t bring herself to say it.
Looking worried, she swallowed her words.
Oh well, Anxin will have to face these things sooner or later. It’s relatively okay now; she’ll encounter more in the future. The sooner she experiences this, the sooner she can ntally prepare.

After putting away her suitcase, Lin Anxin left the hotel.
Since she wasn’t filming or attending an interview, she was without makeup and dressed casually, heading to the set.
The hotel she stayed at was arranged by the producer, just a few steps away from the set.
Carrying the gifts she brought back from the island, she strolled over to the set.
Sure enough, it was busy at the set.
Various staff mbers were bustling around, looking very busy.
A makeup artist spotted her and greeted her with a peculiar expression, “Sister Anxin, why are you back?”
“Ca back early. Here, this is for you, an eyebrow pencil from over there. Try it and see if it’s good.” She pulled out a small gift from her pocket and handed it over.
The makeup artist took the gift in surprise, her gaze softened a bit, and after saying ‘thank you,’ she hesitated before saying, “Sister Anxin, there are no scenes for you today, why are you at the set?”
“Because I brought gifts, and I wanted to hand them out to you guys, so I don’t forget when I get busy with work tomorrow.” Lin Anxin wasn’t the least bit pretentious, smiling as she asked, “Where’s Director Teng? Is he filming?”
