W Airport.
When Xi Zelie walked towards Chi Enen holding flowers, she subconsciously tensed her back, wanting to step back.
But the staff at the airport stood right next to her, continuously pushing her forward, even more excited than she was, "Miss Chi, Miss Chi, Young Master Lie is coming."
Chi Enen stumbled forward a step as she was pushed, which made it seem as if she was intentionally greeting him. When she steadied herself, Xi Zelie was already standing before her.
His height was similar to Li Beijue, and against the light, he truly resembled an angel. Especially those srizing peach blossom eyes, gleaming like rippling waves, impossible to ignore.
"Enen." Xi Zelie’s voice was gentle, with a slight hoarseness inside that hinted at his nervousness.
Chi Enen quickly cald herself down, not giving him a chance to speak. Pretending not to see the roses all over the ground and the flowers in his hands, she tugged at the corner of her mouth, hurriedly grabbing his arm to lead him away, "Xi Zelie, I’ve finally found you. Have you finished your work? If you’re done, let’s go. I’ll take you to the hotel. By the way, have you booked a hotel yet?"
Her response was a silent refusal, and a hint of bitterness crossed Xi Zelie’s eyes. This ti, he didn’t let her drag him away.
Instead, he held onto Chi Enen’s hand and, standing firm, looked at her with those striking peach blossom eyes, forcing the roses into her arms, "Enen, listen to first."
Chi Enen couldn’t pull him away, and instead was held back by him. Although she knew what he was going to say next, she couldn’t stop him in ti.
"I’ve liked a girl for three years. The reason I got to know her is because her precious son took a fancy to . At that ti, I was just a surgeon who lost his wife and was left with a daughter, and she was just a single young girl with a five-year-old child. Due to a small misunderstanding, I saw her for the first ti at the amusent park. She was tricked out by her precious son, and I was tricked out by my niece. We were both awkward. I thought that after explaining, she would choose to leave. Unexpectedly, she stayed and, filled with guilt, accompanied in the amusent park for an afternoon."
He was recounting the ti they were set up for a date at the amusent park by Bae Chi.
"At that ti, I thought if I were really to find a wife, she should be soone with a gentle personality like hers, soft at heart."
"So I began to pursue her; at first, I simply felt she was suitable to be a wife. After getting to know her further, I genuinely fell for her personality. So people are like mountains, so are like streams. She was like a stream. At first, inconspicuous, but later I couldn’t take my eyes off her. But I didn’t know she already had a boyfriend by then. It was my first ti confessing, and I failed. After that, I left that city and went ho."
"An elder I had known for many years wanted to arrange a matchmaking eting, saying that a long ti ago, I was verbally betrothed to his granddaughter. I initially had no interest, but truly respected the elder, so I agreed to the eting. After eting, I discovered that the girl I was betrothed to since childhood was actually the one I liked."
"Later on, we encountered danger together. She persevered and saved from the wreckage of a car accident. It was then that I confird my feelings."
