Chi Enen felt a sudden jolt in her heart; she had already guessed who it was.
Her face showed no expression as she asked, "Who is it?"
The female police officer, like a cat slling fish, her eyes lit up again, and her tone unconsciously beca more forceful, "It’s your company’s Deputy Minister of Quality Inspection. He didn’t co to work today. Didn’t you know, Miss Chi?"
"Should I have known?"
"You are the company’s representative. Shouldn’t you know about such things?" the female police officer countered.
Chi Enen calmly said, "You’ve already said I’m the company’s representative. The company is so large, with more than two hundred employees. As the representative, should I know every single person, who ca to work and who didn’t?"
"But that’s not just any employee!" the female police officer retorted.
Chi Enen looked at her with bright eyes and said, "Whether or not it’s just any employee, it’s not a major one! Moreover, I just returned from Country W, and today is my first day at the company. Aside from the secretary and the assistant, I don’t have ti to care about who else ca to the company or not."
She knew that Chi Enen had just flown back to Rainy City from Country W.
