She swiftly found the household dicine cabinet and rummaged through it for common dications.
Then she picked up a cup and headed out.
In a short while, she returned with a cup of warm water.
She handed him the antipyretic dication, "Here, take a pill first. I’ll go find a fever patch for you. I rember I bought so last ti when Baby Chi had a cold, there should be so left..."
She bought them last ti Baby Chi had a cold!
Damn it, what does she take him for!
Li Beijue took the water cup and dication she handed over, his handso face darkening, his thin lips rejecting, "I don’t need them!"
Chi Enen didn’t take his words to heart at all, already turning to look for the patch, speaking carelessly as she searched, "If you don’t use them, then go to the Hospital."
"Anyway, you must lower the fever."
There’s no room for negotiation on this matter!
It was the first ti Li Beijue had been refused so blatantly; usually, he was the one refusing others, and no one had ever been so strong-willed to tell him he only had two choices.
If it were anyone else, he’d probably send them away without hesitation.
But this person was Chi Enen. For so reason, his heart unexpectedly felt a kind of excited palpitating sensation. It was like streams of hot spring water continuously flowed into his heart, not giving rise to any anger at all.
Chi Enen finally found the fever patch she bought last ti in a drawer.
She took one out and walked toward him, tore open the patch, carefully lifted his hair on his forehead, and affixed it on.
She double-checked to ensure she applied it correctly.
After confirming it was properly in place, she stepped back a little and said, "Okay, sleep with this on tonight. Your fever isn’t severe; take the dication, use the fever patch, sleep through the night, and you should be fine by tomorrow morning."
Her peripheral vision caught the water cup in Li Beijue’s hand, and she naturally asked, "Do you need more water? I’ll get you another cup."
Drinking more water can help lower the fever too.
The handso man handed the water cup back to her, and Chi Enen took it, about to turn and get another cup of water for him from the living room.
Suddenly, the room spun, and she was pinned down on the bed.
"The water cup..."
She reflexively protected the water cup, glancing to the side.
Luckily, there was no water left inside, and the bedsheets weren’t dampened.
She breathed a sigh of relief and abruptly turned back, "Li Beijue, stop ssing around, I..."
The person looming above had pupils that seed to blaze like fire, dark enough to devour, giving her no room to escape.
Locked in Li Beijue’s possessive gaze, Chi Enen felt as though her throat was choked, unable to speak a word.
She was all too familiar with this look from Li Beijue.
Every ti he wanted... that certain thing, it was with this look.
Sure enough...
"I know an even better way to lower the fever, better than the patch, better than dication." That was her!
Chi Enen’s hands pressed against his chest, the man’s scorching body temperature overwhelming her, leaving no way to escape, so she could only ask along with him, "What... what thod?"
Li Beijue was too lazy to explain, lowered his head, and kissed her.
With actions, he showed her what was truly the best ’fever-reducing’ thod for a man.
The temperature in the bedroom gradually rose.
The stars in the sky surrounded the moonlight, twinkling with blinking eyes; the leaves outside the window rolled with nightti dew... The night was long and lingering...
