She decided not to pursue her own demise by discussing this topic with him.
She diverted the topic. “You didn’t call up here just to tell this, did you?”
“Of course not.” Seeing the little lady’s face flush red and her gaze shift, he knew he couldn’t go any further. Otherwise, it wouldn’t just be him who couldn’t hold back; she’d be frightened! He repressed his desires, his jaw tensing as he let his arms drop and, as if to breathe so fresh air, strode confidently back to his leather swivel chair. He tossed sothing across the table at Chi Enen, “Take it.”
“What’s this?” Chi Enen instinctively caught it and looked down to see that he had thrown her a box of milk. She looked up at him, confused.
“Drink it up, and then sleep with ,” he demanded, leaving no room for negotiation.
The next second, his brows knitted together as if to explain, “Si Chen said, drinking a cup of milk before bedti helps with sleep.”
Chi Enen, holding the milk carton with a wry smile, reminded him, “It’s only 9:30 in the morning, and I got up less than two hours ago. Even if 1 drank dication, I wouldn’t be able to sleep, let alone milk.”
“I didn’t sleep last night.”

Chi Enen’s mouth fell open in surprise.
Li Beijue had long been accustod to sleepless nights. He tugged at his tie at the collar, undoing a button. His Adam’s Apple bobbed as he looked at her, urging her, “Hurry up and drink. After you finish, sleep with for a while.”

Chi Enen followed him into the room, feeling awkward, only to discover it was another world inside.
This was hardly a Restroom, but clearly a luxury suite. With a bathroom, bedroom, and living room, it was all there. Although not very large, the suite was luxuriously and comfortably furnished, even better than the renovation of the five-star hotel outside.
“Take this.”
Li Beijue tossed a set of won’s pajamas her way. Chi Enen set the pajamas aside and explained, “I don’t need to change; I’ll sleep in what I’m wearing.”
Li Beijue shot her a glance, seemingly agreeing. He pulled back the quilt and was the first to lie down. Then he turned to Chi Enen’s side and patted the spot next to him, “Get up here.”
It wasn’t their first ti sleeping together, so Chi Enen didn’t fuss and climbed neatly beside him.
Before she could settle in, a book landed in front of her, and a tired voice ca from beside her, “Chi Enen, read it to .”
Read a book?
She didn’t understand why Li Beijue wanted her to read, but noticing the shadows under his eyes, her heart felt as if it had been pricked by a needle. Without asking further, she picked up the abstruse book and flipped it open, “Where do I start reading?”
“Anywhere, as long as you read it’s fine,” Li Beijue’s hand clasped around her waist, his eyes already closed..
