“I’m full too,” Chi Jingchen said as he put down his chopsticks, his little belly stretched taut.
Li Beijue elegantly wiped the corner of his mouth.
The attentive servant by their side imdiately began clearing up the dining table and brought over so fruit and dessert for after the al.
Chi Enen couldn’t eat another bite, and after Baby Chi had a small piece of waterlon, he looked up at her and said, “Woman, didn’t you say you’d watch ‘Boonie Bears’ with ? Let’s watch it in my room.”
It seed she had agreed.
Chi Enen was just about to nod when she heard soone’s extrely displeased voice, “She won’t go.”
“Woman promised , so she will go. Right, woman?” Baby Chi didn’t forget to rope in his ally.
Chi Enen stared at the ‘knife-eyes’ flung from across the table and, steeling herself, looked away pretending not to see, “Right, I’ll go.”
Baby Chi’s face lit up with joy, not forgetting to shoot a smug look at the man at the head of the table, then scurried down from the chair and went to pull Chi Enen’s hand, “Woman, I’m full, let’s go. Will you sleep with tonight?”
Tonight, huh… She was planning on teaching a certain person a lesson anyway, so this was perfect. Chi Enen was just about to agree when the man across from her stood up from his chair with a swish, his face dark with anger. He walked toward them and grabbed Chi Enen’s wrist with one hand while emotionlessly ordering, “Huo Yi, take the Little Young Master back to the bedroom!”
“I won’t go; I want to watch ‘Boonie Bears’ with Woman!” Baby Chi clung to Chi Enen’s other hand.
Li Beijue couldn’t be bothered to argue with him and shot an insignificant look at Huo Yi on the side.
Huo Yi didn’t dare disobey his orders and forcibly carried the protesting Baby Chi into the bedroom, clicking the door shut.
The servants, knowing what was expected, left and closed the entryway door behind them.
The large living room was left with just the two of them in the blink of an eye.
Chi Enen wasn’t afraid at all. She twisted her wrist trying to pull away but couldn’t and still calmly called out to him, “Li Beijue, it’s uncomfortable how you’re holding . Let go first.”
“…” He glared fiercely at the composed little lady in front of him, so angry that he nearly wished he could strangle her dead!
A woman really shouldn’t be spoiled, now she was literally riding high, not even afraid when he was upset!
Chi Enen really wasn’t afraid; she had co to fully understand how much he cared about her, knowing he wouldn’t do anything to her even in anger, feeling emboldened, “Li Beijue, you’re making uncomfortable holding like this, let go first.”
“I’m uncomfortable too!” His tone was the pinnacle of displeasure! Paired with his oppressive grip on her wrist and his darkened handso face, he roughly pulled her toward the bedroom.
Once inside the bedroom, he shut the door with one foot, not allowing Chi Enen to refuse, and carried her horizontally onto the bed, pulling her into his embrace, holding her tightly.
“Sleep!”
He hadn’t slept well for three days, and with the previous two days, all he wanted now was to hold her in his arms and get a good night’s sleep.
Strangely, he couldn’t sleep despite taking dication over the past few days. But the mont this woman was in his arms, a heavy drowsiness swiftly overtook him, more effective than the best sleeping pills, and he closed his eyes, his arm resting on the little lady’s waist, her soft body warming his embrace. He relaxed the tense lines in his forehead, indulging himself in falling asleep…
Soon, the sound of deep sleep ca from above her head. Chi Enen was montarily astonished, recalling what Huo Yi had said about him not sleeping since their three days of cold war, she gave up struggling and quietly wrapped her arms around his waist and closed her eyes too.
Before sleep took her, she faintly rembered she had an important matter she had forgotten to ntion, but in that mont, it slipped her mind…
The night was quiet and long…
