Chapter 668: Chapter 668: We Can Find Out the Gender Tomorrow
“Yes, inform once the results are out,” Quan Dongting said noncommittally. “Hass, see the guest out.”
The doctor arrived quickly and left just as fast.
In the blink of an eye, the conference room was left with only Chi Enen and Quan Dongting.
Chi Enen used a cotton swab to stop the bleeding on her wrist, looked up, and said to the man who had taken ti out of his busy schedule to accompany her, “Uncle… Uncle, I’ll head back first. Take your ti with your work.”
Quan Dongting really had quite a bit of work left unfinished. He nodded gently, “Alright.”
He imdiately added another sentence, “I’ll make ti to take you out for dinner this evening.”
She hadn’t gone out these past few days and must have been quite bored.
Evening? Chi Enen imdiately thought of the note she had clutched in her hand this morning, shook her head, and refused, “I don’t want to go out tonight. I’d like to rest early. Is another day okay?”
Quan Dongting, now more than ever, wished to offer her the whole world to make ands. He would, of course, not force her to do anything against her wishes and humd in affirmation, “Okay, whenever you want to go out, just let know. I’ll take you.”
“Alright.”
Chi Enen stood up, exchanged a few words with him, and then left.
The nurse had been waiting outside. As soon as Chi Enen ca out, the nurse escorted her back to her room. The entire process was particularly quiet, with no unnecessary words spoken, and no questions asked about why she was holding a cotton swab.
Once back in the room, the nurse imdiately went to pour her so water.
Chi Enen sat on the sofa, glanced at her arm which had stopped bleeding, tossed the cotton swab into the trash can, and took a deep breath.
She had not expected there really to be a technology capable of determining the sex of the baby in a pregnant woman’s womb at two months.
When she had her blood drawn, she hadn’t thought too much about it.
It was only after having the blood taken that she ca to her senses.
If the baby in her womb turned out to be… Chi Enen’s left hand caressed her abdon, shaking her head to dismiss the thoughts that surfaced in her mind.
It could not be; the baby she was carrying should be a boy.
Li Beijue had gone to great lengths to bring her to Country Y for prayers, even having the pope himself bless her. The pope had declared the child in her womb was a boy, and so it must be a boy.
Because of the ability to test the sex of the baby through a blood draw, she had forgotten to tell Quan… her Uncle, about her decision to be with Li Beijue.
Once the baby’s sex is confird tomorrow, she resolved to firmly tell everyone that she wanted to be with Li Beijue and hoped for his support!
With Duke Habsden’s support, she believed that Li Beijue’s grandfather would give her a chance, at least an opportunity to prove that she could beco outstanding, worthy of being Li Beijue’s woman!
Chi Enen gently touched her stomach, her gaze softening. She murmured softly, “Little bun, are you happy too?”
Having another relative and a chance to make an effort, Chi Enen’s mood was exceptionally good. This was the first ti in several days that she had felt so positive.

The night fell swiftly.
Chi Enen purposefully left the window open, with the balcony’s floor-to-ceiling glass window ajar, while finding an excuse to send the nurse away early.
She had expected Li Beijue to co early like yesterday, but to her surprise, she waited until the early morning and there was still no movent outside the window.
Why hasn’t he co yet?
Could sothing have happened to him?
The more Chi Enen thought about it, the more uneasy she felt. She stood up from the sofa, ready to go to the balcony to take a look.
