Chapter 961: Chapter 961: Is Xi Zelie the Blood Disease Expert?!
The talking outside startled the man inside, who abruptly turned his head.
Pale forehead, delicate bangs, enchanting peach blossom eyes, and those rose petal-like thin lips. Who else could it be but Xi Zelie?
Even though Chi Enen had suspected it all along, she was still surprised to see it was him.
Xi Zelie was also extrely surprised, he frowned and looked at her, “Enen? How co it’s you?”
He was genuinely astonished. How could she be here?
At noon, he received a phone call from Old Lady Habsden asking him to co over for tea, and he knew Old Madam intended for him to et the Miss Habsden he hadn’t seen the last ti.
Unexpectedly, after waiting for half an hour, he welcod Chi Enen instead.
Could it be… Enen is the Miss of the Habsden family?
Xi Zelie couldn’t quite describe his feelings but thought it was too much of a coincidence. His older sister had ntioned to him before she passed away, that she made a predestined engagent with Old Lady Habsden – that her grandchild, if a granddaughter, would be his fiancee, if a grandson, then his good friend.
Later, his older sister died in a car accident, leaving behind Han Xiaoru, and he grew weary of the Xize family’s affairs and took Han Xiaoru to Capital City.
He never expected to encounter the first woman he ever liked! And now, he was shocked to realize that this woman was actually the sa one he had an arranged attachnt to all along, whom he had never t.
Enen is the Miss Habsden!
The person whom he had been relieved not to et last ti!
Turns out her presence on that road that day, her accidental collision with his car, was not a coincidence — she had just left the Habsden’s house!
They had just missed each other like that…
The hand Xi Zelie had placed on the table involuntarily clenched into a fist, his typically affectionate yet heartless peach blossom eyes now filled with shock, astonishnt… and a bit of unexpected joy he himself hadn’t realized.
Chi Enen didn’t know that in just a short ti, he had thought so much. She was still imrsed in her surprise, not expecting to see him here.
But she was not who she used to be, after all, and quickly guessed what was happening—definitely her grandma’s doing!
The person she was supposed to et for a blind date last ti was apparently a Xize. Back then, she didn’t know that Han Qifeng was Xi Zelie; thinking back, her grandma’s blind date suggestion was actually Xi Zelie!
It was only because she ran away last ti that the current situation had unfolded.
Chi Enen felt imnsely overwheld and awkwardly made her explanation, “I didn’t expect it would be you here… This is likely a misunderstanding. I ca to see the blood disease expert my Uncle ntioned, not realizing…”
Not realizing she would encounter Xi Zelie!
Chi Enen couldn’t quite describe how awkward she felt right now, really too awkward for words.
She ca to see a blood disease expert, but it turned into a blind date, especially one orchestrated by her grandma, leaving her so embarrassed she didn’t know what to say.
Chi Enen took a deep breath and apologetically said, “I didn’t expect my Uncle wouldn’t be here. Sorry for wasting so much of your ti.”
Xi Zelie smiled slightly, giving off an angelic aura that was exceptionally comforting and relaxing. He seed to notice Chi Enen’s discomfort and awkwardness, and after his initial surprise, a hint of bitterness flickered in his eyes, but he quickly disguised it, breaking the tension with a smooth utterance, “No problem. Now that we’re here, let’s have a glass of water before we go.”
