Capítulo 1004: Chapter 747: Secrets Revealed

“…Is that so, Gwen and Qikara…”

At the deepest layer of the Silent Spiral, everywhere rocks crumbled as the Blood Sea overturned, as if even the world itself began to fall. Yet amidst this dark chaos, there was still a calm space sheltered by a Silver Lamp, like a fragile but resilient Floating Boat sailing against the tide of Fate.

Ash’s palms emitted a green glow, regenerating Harvey’s limbs bit by bit. His self-positioning was that of a ‘Battlefield Conductor,’ balancing attack/defense/movent/healing, and possessing the potent Healing Miracle ‘Joyful Sword.’ Moreover, the Thousand chanism Technique Spirit could transform into a Water Therapy Technique Spirit, making flesh regeneration easy for him.

After hearing their stories, Ash recalled the silent Star Mage and the shrewd Beastman. He sighed softly, “There are more and more people waiting for us in Hell…”

“Death is a Veil, spanning between the living and the dead,” said the Necromancer. “Thus, there’s no need to suppress internal emotions; though death can separate everything, feelings like love, longing, and respect can still pierce the Death Veil and connect us. Even the strongest death cannot diminish them one bit.”

Everyone looked at Harvey in surprise, and Ash chuckled bitterly, “Living long indeed brings good things; I never thought I’d find comfort in your words, Harvey.”

“This is the professional ethics of a Necromancer,” Harvey said calmly. “The dead must serve the living.”

Ash asked, “When soone you know dies, Harvey, do you feel… the sa as I do…?”

“Of course, just like you,” Harvey replied. “You are treating now, but do you find that in my veins flows anything other than warm blood, and in my chest beats anything other than a heart? Surely, I’m proud of Qikara, my first and best student, but death needs no embellishnt. Naturally, I feel sad for him as well.”

“Those who hate death are those who do not understand it,” he said while being supported by Corpse Ghost Alice to sit up. “Those who praise death are those who think they understand it. If even a Necromancer does not dare face death, then it’s truly sorrowful.”

Harvey extended his hands toward Ash, who paused for a mont, then hugged him briefly. Amidst the slight trembling, he confird that the Necromancer wasn’t as indifferent as he appeared.

“If we’re doing hospice care, isn’t it necessary to hug each other more often?”

“Yes.” Ash nodded, “Nothing can convey each other’s existence more than a hug.”

“But not everything is bad news,” Igula said, leaning against a coffin. “For instance, the source of all woes from Senluo, the rcury Wooden Horse, is finally dead.”

“Indeed.” Tamasi nodded, “The evil rcury Wooden Horse has died.”

From this statent, Ash realized that the rcury Wooden Horse was not only dead, but the heavy shackles it had imposed on Tamasi were completely broken, as this was the first ti Tamasi referred to it as ‘rcury Wooden Horse,’ and not ‘Tanomu.’

“It is indeed good news.” Ash’s voice was low, “But besides that, only bad news remains.”

After dealing with Harvey’s injuries, leaving only one hand, next ca adjustnts for Igula’s internal structure. Checking Igula’s injuries, Ash found that despite the Joyful Sword’s healing, the Swindler’s body was riddled with holes, looking like a ragged doll with ugly scars all over.

It was the first ti he saw these two in such disarray; Igula’s injuries needed slow treatnt, while removing scars would take so effort. Harvey seed easier to handle, but such rapid regeneration was equivalent to borrowing lifespan, and optimistically speaking, he likely only had twenty to thirty years left.

Ash’s slightly better mood went downhill again, feeling a bit sad as he had all day: “If I had known things would turn out this way, if I knew it would beco like this, I would…”

“If I had known it would be like this, I should have stayed in Shattered Lake Prison.” Igula mocked, “Wait, you forced to break out, I couldn’t stay even if I wanted. It’s all your fault that I ended up in this state – having to wander through Gospel’s Weaving Festival, narrowly escaping death in Senluo… It’s all your fault, damn it! Let’s part ways now; if I ever go adventuring with you again, I’ll just be a fool.”

Despite the heavy mood, Ash still couldn’t help but retort, “Who asked you to deceive a newly imprisoned newbie?”

“Could it be that my luck is bad?”

“What else?!”

“Therefore,” Igula said calmly, “You just had bad luck, too. We both had bad luck.”

“Instead of reflecting on yourself, it’s better to bla Fate. You know how to shirk responsibility for small matters, so why can’t you grasp it for major ones? This untily survivor complex stems from your misplaced arrogance, arrogance enough to think you can see through Fate and prevent everything.”

“It’s my fault.” Tamasi stood at the edge of the Silver Lamp’s domain, gazing into the distant chaos, “I dragged you all into this.”

“It’s not your fault.” Ash said, “Luckily, you notified to find Wei… the Silver Lamp. If I hadn’t co down, Senluoians would face the cruelest ending. At least now, they have the option of choosing death.”

“Are you serious? Considering right and wrong here, assigning bla?” Igula said, “If you guys want to slap each other sowhere else, I’d be glad to watch.”

“We’ll leave,” Ash completed the ergency treatnt for Igula’s serious injuries, “But not now.”

Seeing Ash with open arms, Igula lifted her leg to kick him away, “What are you doing? Didn’t you notice Alice seems lonely? She must be missing your hug…”

Yet the Cult Leader managed to hug the Swindler lightly, whispering in her ear, “Sorry, but even now, I have to trouble you to soothe emotions.”

Igula replied, “You could use less strength; I’m an injured person, not an illusion.”

Ash stood before Tamasi, and despite having sneaked a few glances earlier, was still astonished up close. Carelessly cut, her long black hair hung on both sides. Cherry lips were serene, nose prominent, brows gentle, skin soft as snow, bright eyes beneath naturally reddish shadows. If Ash looked like that, he wouldn’t have fought often with classmates in elentary school.

Were it not for Tamasi’s attire being already an intangible cultural heritage of Senluo, along with nearly monstrous physical capabilities, Ash wouldn’t dare identify the person.

He opened his arms but paused mid-air without reaching forward. Instead, Tamasi embraced him gracefully, saying, “It’s not like I wanted to look this way. For , this face is a mask; the one wearing the Black Crow mask is the real without a mask.”

In his heart, Ash conceded that if Tamasi used this face to chase criminals, criminals might deliver themselves, perhaps even inciting more individuals to commit cris, specifying Tamasi the Warrior to pursue them or so such…

“By the way, is this the deepest layer of the Silent Spiral?” He glanced around, “Strangely, I shouldn’t have been here before, but I feel sothing odd…”

“That’s because this is the closest dream realm to reality; for Senluoians, it might feel uncomfortable.” Ash said casually, “Do you think you don’t look good?”

“I still know what’s beautiful or ugly,” Tamasi replied, “especially when Tanomu often tells .”

“Since you don’t mind showing yourself, why did you hide from us?” Ash complained, “I thought if you took off the mask, you’d enter a second form, combat power soaring, like a special hidden card, so I dared not probe your face.”

“I ntioned before,” Tamasi said, “It involves religious reasons; for outsiders, Black Crows must always wear masks, so outsiders fear not any specific Ya Sha Jin, but all those wearing Black Crow masks.”

Ash raised his eyebrows, “We’re outsiders?”

Tamasi reached into his waist, retrieved a second Crow mask but quickly put it back without wearing.

Ash nodded in satisfaction, but he cast a hesitant look at Tamasi, carefully choosing his words, “Well… I an no offense, I’m just curious, Tamasi, what exactly are you…”

Crack!

A loud noise erupted from the sky, and cracks widened again. More debris fell, as if the entire sky was about to collapse.

“Chit-chat later and stay safe!” Igula exclaid, “Ash, it’s ti to go, use the Sky Gate Technique Spirit!”

Ash nodded, asking, “You can move now, right? Let’s organize the quantity of Sky Gate Technique Spirits.”

Gathering all the Sky Gate Technique Spirits, Ash exchanged a look with Tamasi, and then glanced at the little Silver Lamp beside them.

He no longer hesitated, bringing out the Heart’s Desire core, “This is the key to the Heavenly Kingdom of Thousand Wishes; even without Sky Gate Technique Spirits, I can take you all to the safe haven of the Heavenly Kingdom anyti.”

“So, I hope we can try to save others,” Ash said, “Even if we can only save one Life.”
