Chapter 1032: Chapter 766: Self-Introductions
“So, Weiser knows both the Void Realm you and the real you, just like the Witch…”
Sonia’s tone carried a subtle hint.
Diya blinked, hastily explaining, “Before you gave the ‘Soul Summoning Technique Spirit’ containing the ‘Secret Concept’, Ash, I had no idea the Observer was you! I had no intention of hiding it, but so much happened afterwards. I beca the Empress Yisu of the Kingdom of Gospel and had to rely on the Secret Keeping Authority within the ‘Secret Concept’ to resist Divine Being pollution, so even if I wanted to confess, I couldn’t.”
“And now I’m only daring to reveal my true identity because I’m barely suppressing the influence of the Gospel’s Divine Being with the ‘Miracle’ Downfall.’
Ash was taken aback and asked, “So when Liss and I first t, you really didn’t know my true identity? You didn’t recognize in the Void Realm?”
“Did you forget your Silver Blessing ‘Observer’s Appearance’?” Diya countered, “I couldn’t clearly see your face in the Void Realm… It wasn’t until you left the Kingdom of Gospel that your ‘Observer’s Appearance’ finally disappeared in my eyes.”
“And you also deliberately didn’t reveal your real situation in the Void Realm, so how would I ever link the Observer and Ash as the sa person?”
Ash murmured, “I didn’t expect it to really be like that…”
He paused, looking at the two of them and said, “I might have encountered another Witch, another Sword Maiden.”
He ntioned the black and white entities he signed a ‘Non-Inquiry Pact’ with and the Death Mad who had visited him in Shattered Lake Prison, to which Sonia and Diya shook their heads repeatedly, “I didn’t do such things. Wait…”
Diya blinked, contemplated, “I think I also encountered another Observer.”
“ too.” Sonia murmured, “He appeared around two or three tis…”
Ash curiously asked, “I could overlook it, but even you two didn’t notice any differences?”
“No, because…” Sonia pondered, “his tone and personality were similar to yours, unlike the obviously different Death Mad as I described. But thinking about it, he was a bit tougher and colder than you. At that ti, we were not very familiar with you, so I just thought your personality changed from ti to ti.”
“After we beca familiar, he never appeared again.”
“I’m the sa as you.” Ash said, “At first, I wasn’t very familiar, so I didn’t think much of it. But after I beca familiar, they stopped appearing.”
Now Ash was certain, the “Aurora’s Mage Manual” had hidden settings he didn’t know about. The Death Mad who guided him into the mage world in Shattered Lake, the black and white who intentionally or unintentionally prevented him and Lissdia from reuniting in the Gospel, and the Observer responsible for successfully recruiting Sword Maiden and Witch into the team, who exactly were they?
Were they their dark sides? Shadows? New life forms born from the mage’s illustrations? Or were they all artificial intelligence incarnations of the “Aurora’s Mage Manual,” rely wearing different skins to better serve different subjects?
Or had the Substitute Technique Spirit beco sentient?
The possibilities were too many for Ash to judge. He summoned the ga interface and opened “Operator Managent” to find clues but imdiately saw the grayed-out portrait of Yooran Weiser.
Ash was slightly stunned, sighing gently, “This brain-draining job was clearly Weiser’s responsibility…”
On the other side, Sonia was contemplating the Death Mad.
She recalled how Ash initially had a strong sense of closeness to her, would even rely on her without reservation. She initially thought this ‘legendary rebirth’ was like a child, but now it seems Ash was truly dependent on the Death Mad who helped him through the toughest tis in Shattered Lake Prison, not her, Sonia Sevi.
So, it turns out that even the origin of everything was rooted in a misunderstanding…
“Rember how the Observer said he would help Liss achieve her wish during the Weaving Festival?”
The Witch suddenly approached her side, whispering in her ear.
“I rember.” Sonia lowered her head, “He really spoiled you.”
“It’s Liss, not ,” Diya said, “Besides, helping Liss was his second choice. He was simply afraid to make his wish co true, so he gave his wish to Liss.”
“Afraid?”
“He said he had soone he wanted to et in another kingdom, and if he could wish, he actually wanted to see that person,” Diya said softly, “But he felt he wasn’t ready, and he thought the other wasn’t ready either. He was afraid that eting would disrupt the other person’s life, so he wanted to maintain the status quo.”
“You hate that I know Ash in reality first, and I equally hate that you knew the Observer in the Void Realm first.”
Sonia was stunned for a mont and then slowly approached Ash. In his puzzled gaze, she lightly pressed her chest with her right hand and introduced herself, “I am the Sword Maiden, a second-year student at Sword Flower University in Dazzling Star Kingdom, Sonia Sevi. You can call Sonia.”
Ash blinked and replied earnestly, “I am the Observer, a social drifter, Ash Heath. You can call Ash.”
“Ash, Ash, Ash, Ash…” Sonia carefully savored the term, as if she could taste sweetness from it. She lightly extended her hand, and Ash instinctively grasped it, aligning their palms first, then interlocking their fingers because, as Sword Masters, they naturally wouldn’t keep fingernails, so gripping tightly wouldn’t hurt each other.
“Hello, Ash.”
“Hello, Sonia.”
They exchanged a glance and couldn’t help but burst into laughter. Ash said, “Being called by my real na feels odd, like there’s an inexplicable sense of sha. Shall we go back to being Observer, Sword Maiden, Witch?”
“No, how you want to be called is your business. But since Lissdia and Diya call you by your real na, so will I,” Sonia said, “Ash, have you finished discussing the topic of reunion?”
“I probably haven’t, but we can first discuss your topic, Sonia,” Ash said. “We have a lot of ti and can talk slowly.”
“I’m still on the sa topic.” Sonia lightly scratched his palm with her finger, “I’m ready now. Are you ready to co to Dazzling Star?”
“Speaking of which,” Diya sat beside Ash, linking her arm through his, and said, “Ash, since you didn’t enter the Heavenly Kingdom of Thousand Wishes and were transported elsewhere due to a space distortion triggered by Vishi, where are you now? Paradise, Earth Abyss, or back in the Kingdom of Blood Moon?”
Ash blinked and said, “Right, have you noticed that every ti I traveled between kingdoms, there was a pattern. Although the reasons for crossing vary, I was a death row inmate escaping in Blood Moon, a Despoiler following Hanna desecrating a Divine Being in Gospel, and in Senluo, I was hunting Silver Lamp…”
“In whichever kingdom, I’m always an unsettled traveler, either being hunted or hunting others.”
Diya and Sonia blinked, not understanding what nonsense Ash was talking about.
“So…” Ash slowly said, “Sword Maiden, do you know about the three Holy Domain fugitives that recently appeared in the Kingdom of Stars?”
