Ash suddenly realized sothing: "Wait, can you guys return to the Distant Realm now?"

"The Void Realm always allows only forward movent, never backward," Igula said softly. "Now we’ve left the Distant Realm and can’t enter Ruby Mountain... it’s just like our current situation. Leaving the Blood Moon, yet not acknowledged by the Dazzling Star, we can only be fugitives stuck in between."
"We can’t log into the Void Realm anymore."
Ash was slightly lost in thought, looking dumbfoundedly at his own hands.
Harvey calmly said, "It’s not your fault; we just had bad luck."
"At least we witnessed the Faded Dream," Igula said with a light tone. "We’re already stronger than most mages in the world."
"Don’t say anymore."
Ash suddenly stood up. No matter how beautiful the clothes or exquisite the makeup, they couldn’t hide the disappointnt on his face.
"I’m going to the bathroom."
Watching Ash leave almost as if fleeing and slam the bathroom door shut, Igula and Harvey also fell into silence, the relaxed smiles gone, leaving only expressionless masks.
"Necromancer, do you hate it?" After a while, Igula suddenly asked.
"I don’t hate it," Harvey said calmly. "I never thought I could beco a Holy Sanctuary Mage. Reaching this point is already lucky. Besides, when using the Seven-colored Tail Feather, I was ready to bear the cost."
"Yes," Igula said softly against the soft chair, "what is there to hate?"
He gazed at the ceiling, as if looking into the distant past. "When I was at the Shattered Lake, did I ever hope to beco a Holy Sanctuary Mage? I’ve experienced the Weaving Festival and witnessed Senluo’s End. My life has been much more exciting than I imagined, so what can I complain about?"
"But I do hate it."
The Swindler pressed his lips tight and took a deep breath. "I hate that our journey is reaching an end."
"He’s a Legendary Mage now, and may beco a Demigod Mage later. He’ll reach heights we can’t even hope to look up to by standing on our toes. We can only stand below and listen to his glory, without even the qualification to watch his back."
"Perhaps even death couldn’t separate us, but now is a ti of parting."
"I hate that I’m only a Holy Sanctuary Mage, and I hate... he’s no longer a Holy Sanctuary Mage." Igula closed his eyes, speaking softly. "How much power is needed to grasp happiness? At least, I know the answer isn’t a Holy Sanctuary Mage."
Harvey remained silent, while Alice quietly held the Necromancer’s hand.

The bathroom door was suddenly kicked open, and Ash hurriedly ran over, hooking his arms around their necks to pull them together, exclaiming excitedly, "There’s still a way! It acknowledges you, we have a way!"
"Ash, calm down..."

Igula chuckled and couldn’t help being wide-eyed. "What?"
"Can I have a pair," Harvey asked. "Alice said she’d like it, too."
"No, buy it yourself if you want it," Ash said. "Alright, the main thing now is to take you to Ruby Mountain for a look. If you’re ready, then let’s—"
"We’re not in a hurry, you have a date later," Igula laughed. "Let’s talk about it tomorrow."
"There’s still a few hours until the appointed ti, and if you don’t go to Ruby Mountain, you’d surely eavesdrop on my date," Ash said. "Resolve this matter earlier so I can have peace of mind sooner."
He closed the small black box and put it back in his shirt pocket. "Once you’re ready, we’ll start the journey to Ruby Mountain."
"Exploring the Void Realm together with you," Igula tilted his head. "Feels kind of strange."
"Whether death can separate us is still unknown," Harvey kissed Alice’s hand lightly, smiling. "But at least the Void Realm can’t."
"Newcor, stick close behind the veteran, don’t get lost in Ruby Mountain," Ash said with a full smile. "Next stop, Ruby Mountain!"
