"Ash Ash Ash Ash Ash..."
In the villa’s indoor library, Ash turned his head and saw Rose standing at the door in her reindeer pajamas. She was rubbing her eyes and holding a rather peculiar doll.
"Did I wake you up?"
Rose shook her head: "Do you want sothing to drink? Coffee, juice, or milk tea?"
"No need, you can go back to sleep." Ash smiled and said, "I’ll just read for a while here."
"No way, if you’re awake, I have to stay awake too, to et your surreal needs at any ti, lest you kill soone without my knowledge." Rose yawned and walked over. She noticed Ash staring at the doll she held, so she said, "This is Mr. Fish, my good friend. Mr. Fish, this is my employer Ash Heath."
Rose was holding a giant gold-eyed doll, the golden eye encircled by eight white wings, which were covered with eyes.
Ash opened his mouth then stopped, and finally decided not to voice his opinion: "Hello, Mr. Fish."
Rose placed Mr. Fish beside her, walked groggily behind Ash, and gently pressed the back of his head with her slender fingers. It was like a pianist touching a Steinway; Ash almost felt his head was made for her fingers. With a casual press, he felt an incredibly comfortable tingling sensation.
He smiled bitterly: "You should go back to sleep. I just couldn’t sleep and wanted to review the data again, I won’t do anything rash."
Rose grunted in response with no intention of leaving. Ash asked helplessly, "How did you know I wasn’t sleeping?"
"Intuition." She said: "The mont you wake, I will imdiately wake up too."
"I thought there might be surveillance caras in my room or sothing..."
"Those can only be auxiliary ans at best."
"Huh?"
"You look troubled, want to talk about it?" Rose quickly changed the subject: "You and your friends seem to be set as ’not familiar with this world’. Whereas I’m very familiar with this world, I should be able to help you—and I won’t leak your secrets, I’ll only reveal others’ secrets to you."
Ash decided he’d thoroughly check his room for caras when he returned: "I’m not really troubled, it’s just... I encountered sothing beyond my ability that I can’t control, yet I have to achieve a good result."
Rose blinked, "...In this world, that situation is generally called being troubled."
"I don’t know if you can understand." Ash pressed his forehead, showing so fatigue: "Though Igula and Harvey didn’t show concern, this ti... I really did an well but ended up doing sothing bad."
"Especially while we were being hunted by Dazzling Star, I brought them here. Now our real bodies are stuck in Dazzling Star, unable to do anything; perhaps they’ve already fallen under Star jurisdiction’s control, and suddenly dying the next second wouldn’t be surprising at all."
"Even if no issues arise in reality, struggling to survive here won’t be easy. And we’re all just pawns; the real player is the Divine Lord beyond the starry sky."
"Before, I could say to run away if we couldn’t fight, but now stuck here, we can’t even run." Ash’s voice gradually lowered: "Though doing nothing and waiting for it all to end is an option, but..."
"If Nia really is an Angel..."
"The setting and emotion lines of your world are quite complex," Rose said, "In short, you’re in danger now, and the only way to survive is to win, right?"
"That’s about right."
"Do you have any advantages right now?"
"The advantage lies in these." Ash patted the notebook in his hand, "Records and accumulation left by Heath. Most others are either drifters or ordinary people, but only I am soone successful in the Kingdom of Allstars. I can use social status and financial power to influence the situation."
"That’s why I’m reviewing late into the night... If only Heath left a direct strategy for clearing the ga in his notes."
"If that’s the case, wouldn’t you have already won?" Rose asked curiously, "If the opponent is a drifter or an ordinary person, I could just help you hire soone to kill them, wouldn’t that solve the problem? You wouldn’t even need to hire a killer, just orchestrate a traffic accident or sothing, not even the police would notice."
The opponent is a Legendary Mage; hiring soone to kill them—how could that be—
Ash was just about to refute, but the words suddenly got stuck in his throat.
In the outside world, dealing with a Legendary Mage would require at least a few Legendary contemporaries for a raid, but even then, it’s very likely they would escape.
But Allstars is different; here are the Mysterious Chains. If a Legendary Mage is really attacked by ordinary people, and he dared to use a Miracle to avoid danger or even retaliate, the result would be triggering the Mysterious Chains and being locked down!
Not that you should really hire soone to kill, but Rose’s words reminded Ash that Heath’s eight years of accumulation were by no ans in vain. Even if the Divine Lord created Demons to unlock the Legendary Mage’s chains, no matter whether Demons or Legendary Mages, ultimately they are anomalies in the Kingdom of Allstars.
Allstars, ultimately, is the starry sky for mortals!
Suddenly, Ash finally understood why Heath was qualified to beco the tactile for The Gods of Four Pillars. Even though only able to access the Kingdom of Allstars eight years in advance, just that ti was enough for Heath to turn it into his own domain, becoming the host and seizing the achievents of Dazzling Star’s Magic Master!
