Rather than an apple, it was more like a whirl of airflow.
Almost the mont her lips touched the golden apple, it lted and flowed into the mouths of Sonia and the witch.
Then Sonia’s soul naturally floated up, drifting into the distant darkness. But she wasn’t alone, for Diya was right beside her.
Though surrounded by darkness, Sonia’s soul had a purplish-red outline, while Diya’s soul appeared black and white at first glance, refracting colors as it drifted. They exchanged a glance, their hearts devoid of sorrow or joy, enveloped by the golden airflow ford by the golden apple, silently floating upward.
Gurgle, gurgle, gurgle...
As they broke free from the darkness, they realized they had just been in the deep sea. Above the deep sea was a boundless dense white mist, and their souls, unknowingly spreading silver void wings, soared upward joyfully.
Vaguely, they seed to see many gigantic beings existing in the high air of the white mist. Those beings seed to sense them too, but not only did they not dare to approach, they hurriedly fled away.
Guided by the golden apple, they flew out of the white mist, through the serene Golden Sea.
They looked up to see a torrential golden rain.
The raindrops fell from above, passing through their souls. They faintly saw a white four-legged creature carrying a continent, walking on the Golden Sea. As they flew upward, their Golden Wings quietly unfolded.
The golden apple guided them into the Flowing Gold River, but ti is movent itself; as long as there is movent, it is inevitably within the torrent of ti. Even in this state, they could not escape the influence of the Flowing Gold River. Just as they were about to be swept away by the Flowing Gold River, they suddenly unfolded Seven-Colored Wings and disappeared from the river.
The next second, they appeared in the Distant Realm, following the guidance of the golden apple, flying toward the farthest reaches of the sky, where the Ruby Mountain existed eternally but unreachable.
anwhile, in so dream bubble shadow.
"Jumping feels so heavy, is the word suffix here gravity enhancent?"
"I’ve told you many tis, it’s because your chest has grown again. Strange, it should’ve stopped developing, right? Could it be because you found Tamasi bigger than you and felt competitive? Don’t compare so much, if you want to compare, compare... hmm?"
While strolling and studying the word suffix, Siflin stopped, looking at the three team mbers standing in a daze and gazing at the sky.
The little bat also looked up, seeing nothing but the ever-present Ruby Mountain.
"What are you looking at?"
The three exchanged a glance, and Hanna said, "I feel like sothing familiar just flew by."
Tamasi: "I feel like sothing dangerous flew by."
Freyja: "I feel like sothing very annoying flew by."
The Sword Maiden and the witch were naturally unaware of the discussion in the dream bubble shadow. Guided by the golden apple, they progressively got closer to the Ruby Mountain.
As if passed through invisible bubbles, they floated to the foot of Ruby Mountain. They looked up, seeing countless stars surrounding the Ruby Mountain, connecting to form a giant net that completely enveloped it.
They continued floating upward, effortlessly flying over the silent and deserted Ruby Mountain, reaching its peak with ease.
Yet the peak of the Ruby Mountain was deserted.
The airflow of the golden apple swirled montarily at the peak, much like a schoolchild discovering that their ho was empty when they returned. Eventually, as the golden apple’s airflow quietly dissipated, their souls seed to regain weight and were abruptly pulled back.
Sonia opened her eyes, seeing the similarly bewildered Diya.
They turned their heads, and the mbers of the Four Pillars God Sect were still watching them, their eyes filled with curiosity and expectation.
"How long have we been gone?"
"You just ate the golden apple," replied Dedarose. "Did sothing happen?"
"Sothing must have happened." Sonia rubbed her forehead. "But my mory is very hazy... I only rember going sowhere with the witch, then coming back."
"That was the reward of the Void Realm."
Diya said, "Eating the golden apple, in effect, allowed us to liberate knowledge sealed by the Divine Lord. As a thank-you, the Void Realm seed to directly grant our souls an encounter. But in this encounter, ’thought’ and ’mory’ were obstacles, so the Void Realm only retained our ability to ’listen’ and ’feel.’
Trozan curiously asked, "Any changes?"
The Sword Maiden and witch introspected their souls, smiles appearing on their faces.
"My Wave Sword Technique Spirit has advanced to four-winged."
"My Observation Technique Spirit as well."
Dedarose pondered, "So the Church can stabilize the production of three-winged and four-winged technique spirits through the golden apple recycle chanism? No wonder the treasury is so full..."
"But the price is the risk of losing the golden apple," Diya said. "Comparatively, the cost of making a golden apple cannot compensate, even for more three-winged and four-winged technique spirits."
"Moreover, upgrading technique spirits is just the reward for ’eating the golden apple,’ but granting ’the golden apple back to the Void Realm’ gets you..."
Diya spread her Void Wings, and before anyone could react, when Sonia also unfolded her Void Wings, they finally recognized it—Sonia’s sword-colored Void Wings were nearly half condensed!
Yet just a few hours ago, Sonia’s sword-colored Void Wings had only one feather!
Aside from a few in the Holy Domain like Dedarose and Trozan, others didn’t know what this reward ant. For a Legendary Mage, even condensing multicolored Void Wings was quite troubleso, and condensing pure-colored Void Wings generally took ten to twenty years of effort, possibly requiring a lifeti without success.
