Capítulo 1139: Chapter 831: Is This Your First Ti Dying? (2)
The little lamb shivered as she listened, “Can you die too?”
“I’m not Vishi, I only have one life to spend carelessly, of course, I can die.”
“Won’t you return to the parallel world?”
“No.”
“That’s truly, truly…” the little lamb murmured, “great.”
The twin-headed Fish-Slicing Dragon didn’t imdiately charge, circling not far from Ash, seemingly familiar with the Deep Blue Mud Fish Dragon, intending to wait for its cooldown to end before launching a joint attack. The Void Realm creatures behind were almost the sa, keeping a not-too-far, not-too-close distance from Ash and Filly, ready to attack at any mont.
In this highly tense state, Ash couldn’t help but laugh aloud, “Hahaha, we’ve led you astray!”
Facing imminent doom, Filly was less shy and more courageous, “Could it be that I’m inherently this bad? I am a demon, after all!”
“Yes, yes, our demon is the big bad perched on my back.”
“Don’t coax with that tone,” Filly grumbled, “Aren’t you scared?”
“How could I not be? Of course, I’m scared. There are still many regrets I haven’t resolved, many things I haven’t done, I’m reluctant to die so soon,” Ash said softly, “I just won’t show it in front of you.”
The blonde girl suddenly seed a bit low, “Is it because I’m not worth relying on? If the Sword Maiden were there, you could…”
“No, I would reveal even less,” Ash said, “You’re all people I wish to protect. I should be your support, soothe your unease, rather than showing you my weakness.”
Filly: “So do you just keep it to yourself?”
“No, I usually share my joys and sorrows with Igula, let a professional psychologist do psychological counseling for ,” Ash winked, “I show him my vulnerable side, he becos my armor.”
Filly felt a bit uneasy listening, “So who understands you better, the Sword Maiden or Igula?”
“Emotionally, it’s the Sword Maiden; in life, it’s Igula.”
“Who will you live with in the future?”
“Of course, with the Sword Maiden and the Witch, there’s no way I’d live with Igula,” Ash said, “But Igula and Harvey might beco my neighbors, I’m not at ease with these two guys, feels like they’re disturbing the peace without a leash when taken outside.”
The little lamb’s expression was a bit strange, she didn’t know whether to be jealous of the Sword Witch or Igula… it seed like only Harvey’s position was one she could challenge.
Hiss.
The roars of the Void Realm creatures drew closer, the little lamb subconsciously tightened her legs, almost wrapping around Ash’s waist, “Ash, how can you be so calm?”
“Maybe because I’m a mage.”
“What is a mage?”
Ash was taken aback, asking such a taphysical and important question at this critical mont?
Co to think of it, no one ever said what a mage was; apart from the literal aning of “Master of Magic,” there were no more definitions for a mage.
Unlike professors, nobles, farrs, and psychologists, who require professional ethics and skills, mages never have moral requirents (even the Divine Lord is conducting social experints with the six nations), and even less so, skill standards (any profession from grave diggers to astronors can beco mages).
Ash had seen many mages and read many Mage’s Handbooks: those pursuing power, emotions, fishing, exploration, loving gourt food, greedy, lustful… almost anything, biodiversity manifests vividly in the world of mages.
If there had to be a definition for mages…
Ash looked at the twin-headed Fish-Slicing Dragon itching for a move beside them and suddenly realized the real reason for staying calm—he had experienced too much.
From the Sea of Knowledge to Ruby Mountain, from the Blood Moon to the Dazzling Star, he had experienced countless life-and-death adventures, more thrilling deadly battles than he could count. Other mages, although they may not have such a wandering life, once they step into the Void Realm, they must venture into the unknown, battle with Void Realm creatures, and duel with mage projections.
No one would define a mage, as it is an unspoken consensus.
“A mage is an adventurer always on the road.”
Ash gripped his sword hilt, calming down, “Although we fear death, we have long been prepared for it, rehearsing for it in daily life.”
“This isn’t my first brush with death,” he smiled, “Is this your first? It’s normal not to be used to it.”
“Yes,” Filly paused, unable to resist admitting, “but hearing you and I would die together made less afraid, even a bit happy.”
“Ha, for sure it was Igula and Vishi who led you astray.”
Zing!
With two slashes of tails snapped, the Void Realm creatures simultaneously launched their assault!
Fish-Slicing Dragons, Water Tooth Dragons, Shark Dragons leaped from the water, blocking all paths for Ash to evade. The two Deep Blue Mud Fish Dragons also suddenly erged from above and below; if Ash dared to hide in the line world, they would surely switch channels imdiately, devouring Ash and Filly completely!
Suddenly, Ash had a strange thought: maybe this was the daily life of a mage, seeing enemies everywhere, the only dependence being the sword in his hand.
If unable to cut through, just a mage.
If cutting through, then…
Legendary!
In a flash, Ash slipped into the line world to lure back the Deep Blue Mud Fish Dragons, then returned to reality. Sword Servant Miracle unleashed full force, like a dazzling light flashing towards the severely injured Fox Lamp Dragon!
Switch, switch, switch, switch!
Ash constantly switched between the line world and the real world, twin swords spinning in dance, Fox Lamp Dragon’s scales and flesh lted before his blade like butter beneath a scorching knife, carving out a large hole in its chest and abdon!
When a blood fountain spouted from the Fox Lamp Dragon’s back, Ash and Filly broke through the encirclent!
But what awaited them ahead wasn’t white mist but a giant shadow erging from the black sea.
Zing!
The Twin-headed Fish-Slicing Dragon’s slashing tail, akin to both scissors and pincers, as fast as thunder, was about to crush Ash and Filly the next mont.
Switch!
Ash had to slip into the line world, but as soon as he entered, he heard the deep, hungry sigh of a Mud Fish Dragon from behind.
“Ash!”
With Filly’s scream, Ash dodged forward while turning to swing his sword, allowing the blonde girl to narrowly avoid the Mud Fish Dragon’s kiss, yet delivering his arm into the Mud Fish Dragon’s mouth.
Hiss!
Ash almost couldn’t hold his sword steady. His forearm, flesh, and bones were crudely ‘pinned off’ by the Mud Fish Dragon’s lips, leaving his hand almost only connected by a strip of flesh between the palm and the arm. Like lips pinching and lting ice cream, the Mud Fish Dragon’s terrifying force instantly turned Ash’s flesh and bones into pulp.
Before Filly could cry, Ash switched back to reality, but the situation didn’t improve one bit, only worsened—they appeared surrounded by a group of Void Realm creatures.
Twin-headed Fish-Slicing Dragon, Fox Lamp Dragon, Shark Dragon… especially the Fox Lamp Dragon, its yellow eyes now nearly red, Ash suspected it wanted to slowly engulf him, lting away.
Even if Ash could uphold his Holy Domain, confronted with a frenzied attack, his Magic Power would soon be drained, while the line world always had Deep Blue Mud Fish Dragons ready to snatch a bite, they had no further chance.
This was their end.
Nonetheless, Ash still upheld the Holy Domain, softly said, “Hold tight, don’t look up.”
“Okay.”
The next instant, monstrous waves and shrieks subrged their voices, the fastest Twin-headed Fish-Slicing Dragon had already opened its bloody maw—
Dong!
The giant dragon head was bashed into the black sea by a Fla Trident, Ash and Filly’s Holy Domain wrapped by a Fla Whip evading other monsters’ bites.
In Ash and Filly’s astonished gaze, the pink-haired maid bathed in flas opened her smiling visage:
“Master, your most loyal Vishi is here.”
