Amidst the chaotic battle, Nia wielded a barbell to fend off attacks from the side. The bottom floor of the mall happened to have a gym, and the 20-kilogram barbell was an ideal heavy long weapon for Nia. Unfortunately, she was both tired and injured. Even with Ash’s "Joyful Sword" providing support, she couldn’t crush the enemy’s head like she did at the start, and could only focus on defense.
Yet Ash could still clearly sense Nia’s strength—standing around 1.6 ters tall, she wielded a 2.2-ter barbell with ease. In the lee, she was especially adept, using the enemy’s force to spin the barbell. The heavy barbell seed as nimble in her hands as she was herself.
Both Ash and Nia often had no choice but to engage head-on in battles, exhausting the enemy’s strength with brute force.
But Nia was different; her combat was like a machine well-oiled, with every gear turning precisely, all power transmitted to the terminal without any loss. Even without using any Miracles, she herself was a Miracle.
Among the people Ash knew, probably only Tamasi could compare to her.
And the spear, well, it’s just one of Nia’s Legendary Magic techniques.
Ash once asked Nia why she liked using long weapons. She said she liked things that are long and big. Frankly, Ash thought this reason might be real; Nia wasn’t rely teasing him.
Because of her small stature and her main focus being on the "Soul Prophecy" technique, a ’test-solving’ type of Magic, only when she was smashing enemies with huge weapons could she satisfy her inner Brutality.

Ash constantly reminded himself that no matter how Nia appeared, she was always a Heartless viper, a Brutal giant snake. The ruby chain added a maid to do Ash’s bidding, but also established an Enemy who would never rest.
Nia hadn’t noticed Ash’s thoughts, and continued, "The Mysterious Chains only broke the exposed Silver Wings and Golden Wings, the known Fire Technique Spirit is still in my soul, which ans the chanism of the Mysterious Chains targets ’Mysterious’ itself, rather than specific individuals, so my Seven-Colored Wings and differently colored Wings weren’t affected."
"What about the Holy Domain—"
"Whatever color of Magic Power you use to drive the Holy Domain, the Mysterious Chains will target the Virtual Wings of that color," Nia speculated. "Even Miracles might be so. When we cast, the Technique Spirits don’t appear, but hide within our souls. If the Mysterious Chains trace mysterious phenona, they’re most likely to trace to the Virtual Wings of our souls."
Ash nodded silently. As the direct victim and a resurrected Demigod, Nia’s speculation could be directly used as a conclusion. Even though the Mysterious Chains wouldn’t directly target individuals for humane extermination, the re capability to break Virtual Wings was already fearso for Mages.
If Nia hadn’t appeared, Ash would have at least lost his Rainbow Virtual Wings and the differently colored Virtual Wings to break the situation just now.
"Can your Silver Wings and Golden Wings be restored?" Ash asked.
Nia’s expression was cold, "Theoretically it’s impossible; Mages can’t return to the lower levels of the Void Realm, naturally they can’t regenerate Virtual Wings. The path of a Mage is always a one-way street; only a tiny fraction of Mages can freely travel between different levels of the Void Realm, but if I could do that, the Virtual Wings wouldn’t matter anyway."
"Can’t you harvest souls from other Mages?" Ash asked, "You just lack so Soul Spirits, right?"

Hearing the term ’Master,’ Nia turned to look at them.
"I’m worried your Combat Power will decrease too much and beco a burden. Anyway, it shouldn’t be difficult to find a Sinister Holy Sanctuary Mage," Ash said, cutting down a Blood Frenzy Hunter with his dual swords, "Since it’s troubleso, then forget it."
The Silver Wings and Golden Wings are crucial to a Mage. Even if the Mage doesn’t use the Secret Poison for Magic Power conversion, these two Virtual Wings are still the most perfect flying mobility ability for a Mage. After losing these two Virtual Wings, Nia has to wait until she condenses a complete fourth Virtual Wing to regain her original flying ability. Until then, she can only rely on Technique Spirit Miracles for aerial movent.
Even Ash, a Mud Species Mage, vaguely feels that complete Virtual Wings are crucial to a Mage. It’s like a person having ten fingers—although so fingers are rarely used, losing them would greatly affect the quality of life.
