"This is Dream Heaven."
With a casual swing of the warhamr, Vishi scraped the ground, and the sword trace restored itself in the blink of an eye. "In the lower four-tier Void Realm, there aren’t many special zones that provide such a large enclosed space, and among them, only Dream Heaven isn’t afraid of being destroyed."
As the last master of Dream Heaven, Vishi’s assessnt was undoubtedly authoritative. Igula frowned, "If this is Dream Heaven, then why is there a full Griffin Corps here? They don’t look like Holy Sanctuary Mages either."
Mages forming teams in the Void Realm is extrely rare to begin with, and more importantly, Dream Heaven is definitely located in the Distant Realm, whereas the Griffin Corps is a military group primarily composed of Two-winged Mages. Could it really be such a coincidence that Ash and the others happened to encounter a team ford by a Griffin Holy Domain Commander?
"They clearly shouted the na ’Demon.’
Ash analyzed, "Demons are a special existence in the Kingdom of Allstars. Ordinary mages have absolutely no way to access information about demons; even I learned about them from you guys... So, even if the Griffin Corps doesn’t know the details, they must have received orders from the Dazzling Star Magic Master."
"As for why Two-winged Mages can enter Dream Heaven, perhaps the Dazzling Star Magic Master opened a backdoor for them. I’d guess there’s a special zone that overlaps with the Distant Realm and the Kingdom of Allstars within the Kingdom of Stars..."
Saying this, Ash instinctively glanced at Nia.
Nia was slightly startled, then realized what Ash was thinking about, her face turning deathly pale as her shoulders trembled with anger. But she didn’t lose her temper, instead lightly biting her lower lip, lowering her head to hide behind Filly, like an angry and aggrieved little porcupine.
"Since the Two-winged Mages of the Kingdom of Stars can enter Dream Heaven, naturally Legendary Mages can too," Vishi said leisurely. "Does this an I can finally et the mistresses?"
"Best if you don’t." Ash sighed softly, "If it weren’t for being infected with Hell’s Poison, our journey as mages would’ve long been strangled by the Mysterious Chains. If they haven’t noticed the Mysterious Chains, I don’t want to see them get their wings clipped because of ..."
"Aha, a single feather from the Sword Witch makes you heartache, but you bring us along for an adventure without hesitation? How biased," Vishi said, crossing her arms and speaking with a mocking tone, "But it’s not surprising, considering we’re not the ones you wish to spend your life with. In this life’s journey, you’ve decided only the Sword Witch will accompany you to the end, the rest of us are just passing passengers you don’t need to care about, of course, you’d be biased—"
Vishi knew she was making trouble without reason, expecting Ash to rebuke her angrily, but Ash just looked at her with surprise, even a bit of joy in his eyes.
"Vishi, are you standing up for others?" he laughed.
She was slightly stunned, then snorted, "Of course not, I’m just stirring up trouble between Igula and Harvey—hey, don’t you two have a problem with Ash being so biased?"
"No problem." Igula said, "I’m giving you guys the chance to be with him for life, and if you’re still not satisfied, I could beg you with a kowtow to not set him free, at least keep a leash on him."
"Huh? But I object." Harvey blinked, "I’ve claid Ash’s body since we t. I don’t care about him alive, but his body belongs to after death. So technically, Ash’s final usage rights should be mine, Archibald Harvey, unless you want to apply for joint developnt of the body, then we could discuss dividing him into parts."
Ash’s expression was extrely complicated: "It’s amazing how you two always steer the conversation towards either perversion or disgust."
"Stop praising us, we’ll get embarrassed." Igula said, while Harvey nodded repeatedly.
Ash stopped paying attention to these two weirdos, patting Vishi’s snow-white shoulder and chuckling, "Although your earlier words slightly crossed the line of joking, since you were concerned for others, I won’t hold it against you."
"That’s sexual harassnt, you know." Vishi swatted his hand away.
"Alright, alright." Ash went along and turned to say, "Nia, I know what you’re worried about, and I can’t say it won’t happen again. But I promise that if the sa situation arises, neither the Sword Witch nor I will do anything you dislike."
"Moreover, after the necessary communication, I’ll make sure you wake up as soon as possible, avoiding the situation you dread the most."
None of the others understood Ash’s words since he hadn’t ntioned Sonia descending into Nia’s body to anyone. After a mont of silence, Nia’s small head peeked out from behind Filly: "Really?"
"Really."
"You’re not lying?"
"Not lying."
The scarlet pupil hidden under Nia’s bangs blinked and then slowly nodded: "...Okay."
Ash breathed a sigh of relief. As long as Nia’s mood could be soothed, it was good.
Actually, in this team, Nia is the most unstable factor; her inner obsessive destructive urge causes her not to care much about her life, much less be calm in battle. Last ti, she had a spat in the ruins of the building—of course, she was justified in losing her temper, but Ash hoped she would wait until it was safe to do so. Even if she wanted to beat him up afterward, it was fine.
However, the month they spent interacting wasn’t for naught. Ash clearly felt that the look he just gave almost caused Nia to act out of anger, and it wouldn’t have been surprising if she suddenly drew her sword on him. But she held back, silently withdrawing to a corner to digest—or brew—her emotions. And just that was enough to make Ash quite satisfied.
