Pop!
The wine glass in Ingrid’s hand suddenly shattered, fragnts piercing into her flesh, bleeding profusely.
She pulled out a tissue to wipe it, gesturing for everyone not to worry, assuring them that with her constitution, the injury would soon stop bleeding and heal.
However, no one really felt like continuing to drink, so they dispersed. Sunset Hall wasn’t far from Sword Flower University, so Lois and the other two decided to walk back. Everyone was quiet along the way, as the wind and snow grew stronger and the biting cold penetrated their skin, making their faces ache from the chill.
"Is it snowing over there where Sonia is too?" Adelle suddenly asked.
"Though I’m not sure how big the difference is between demigods and mortals," Ingrid said, "but she should be warr than you, even without clothes."
"Hmm," Adelle nodded, "Demigods are amazing."
"So does that an she doesn’t need to rely on anyone and can live well on her own?"
"Yes," Lois shifted the umbrella slightly towards Adelle’s side, "Actually, a Legendary Mage could also do that... but she likes him."
None of them knew how much Sonia liked her lover better than her roommates. Her anxiety, her joy, her discontent—though Sonia never talked about her love life, they all knew that her emotions were completely swayed by that man.
There were tis when they were happy because Sonia’s relationship made progress, and at tis they were nervous when problems arose in her romance. They had sincerely blessed her for her relationship to blossom, but when it truly happened, they all felt a sense of oppression and sadness in their hearts.
"What’s Sonia’s hotown called again?" Adelle asked.
Lois thought for a while and shook her head, "I don’t know, she never ntioned it, right? It seems like it’s just a remote agricultural town?"
"Aisha certainly knows," Ingrid said.
"Then I’ll ask Aisha later," Adelle said, "If you’re free this weekend, maybe we could take a train there."
Lois was slightly taken aback, then understood Adelle’s intention and smiled, "I think you don’t need to worry, the local officials are bound to be more cautious than us... If sothing happens to her mother, that town probably wouldn’t need to exist anymore."
"She must have thought it through, which is why she unleashed her true strength at Rain Dunning, to make sure the Dazzling Star Mage knows that she alone can take on the entire Mage army. But I don’t have anything on this weekend either."
Ingrid: "I’m free."
"Great, let’s set a plan then!" Adelle punched the air twice as if trying to flatten soone, "I really want to ask her mother how she managed to raise such an amazing daughter, so I can use those thods for reference when I have kids in the future."
"You’re considering having kids even when you can’t pass the finals..."
"Anyway, I won’t be the one raising them, the maids will, and I’ll just drop by to play with them when I feel like it, not difficult at all!"
As they arrived at the main gate of Sword Flower University, Lois noticed Adelle staring at the side and asked, "What’s up?"
"I want to buy a hot milk tea over there, but the shop is a bit far... Lois, how about you go buy it, and I’ll head back to the dorm first? The usual, I’d like a large pudding milk tea with extra coconut jelly."
Lois thought Adelle would suggest everyone go together, she didn’t expect her to be so shaless. She exclaid in exasperation, "Go get it yourself!"
"Well..." Adelle shivered a bit, shaking her shoulders, "then never mind."
Approaching the main gate, they found soone arguing with the security guard.
Adelle took a quick glance and confidently said, "That might be a handso guy, but he definitely doesn’t know he’s good-looking."
Lois: "He’s wearing a mask. I’m not sure how you can say if he’s handso or not, but how do you know he doesn’t know he’s good-looking?"
"Because good-looking people, even without makeup, instinctively match their clothes, but his fashion sense is so bad, clearly not soone who usually dresses up."
As they got closer, they heard the person arguing with the guard:
"Can you make an exception...?"
"You say you know her, then ask her to co out."
"But I really can’t..."
Adelle curiously approached and asked, "What’s going on, classmate?"
The person turned to look at them. He was wearing a black mask, but his eyes were bright and lively, his pupils were like delicate jewels, and a soft beauty lingered around his eyebrows. What was more peculiar was his scent; when Adelle got closer, she could sll a fresh aroma like grass, making her want to roll on a adow.
"It’s like this, my girlfriend ntioned she liked milk tea from outside the campus, so I ca to buy so," he lifted the two thermal bags in his hands, "but I’m not a student here, and Sword Flower University doesn’t allow outsiders to enter, so I can’t get in."
Adelle sniffed the thermal bags and her eyes lit up, "It slls like pudding milk tea! But there are two bags here, does your girlfriend drink that much?"
"There’s also her roommates’ share," he smiled wryly, "she’s ntioned how hard it is to get along with her roommates."
"Nice potential," Adelle gave a thumbs-up.
"Can’t you just ask your girlfriend to co and get you then?" Lois said.
"I don’t have her contact information," he said a bit helplessly, "I didn’t even tell her I was getting milk tea, I sent her back to the dorm first so I could surprise her, and now I’m stuck here."
"You don’t even have her contact information?" Adelle was sowhat incredulous, "How do you guys manage a relationship? Haven’t you been to Sword Flower before?"
"This is my first ti here..."
Ingrid asked, "Long-distance relationship?"
"Yeah, long-distance, and we just t recently," he blinked, a hint of tenderness in his eyes, "almost a year now."
A relationship for a year and no contact information? And it’s long-distance?
Adelle exchanged a glance with her roommates, then said seriously to him:
"Classmate, you’re being played in this relationship."
