Chapter 430: Chapter 359 Qinna Agrees to Our Marriage

Countless bare winter spruce trees stood stiffly like the legs of a centipede’s corpse, pointing straight up to the night sky, while sparse streetlights could only illuminate the brownish-yellow dirt, the air perated with a sweet and fishy scent mixed with the sll of earth.

“Where is this place?”

Igula glanced at his boots, now covered with marks from the ravages of the mud; the soles of the boots, on their first day of use, were already sentenced to death.

Not just the Swindler, now everyone had changed into a set of clothes—at Hanna’s request—they were all wearing thick leather coats, donning full-coverage filter masks, and walking in a quiet, deserted forest; anyone would believe they were committing a cri.

“Forest park.”

“Miss, no offense, but what I an is—why are we here, instead of just leaving Vatican Mura?”

After leaving the Senheiser building in the Floating Car, Igula thought they would head straight out of Vatican Mura, but Hanna did the opposite, bringing them to the forest park in the center of Vatican Mura City. After getting out of the car, Banjee took clothes and protective suits for each person out of his Space suitcase, obviously even if there wasn’t tonight’s unexpected event, Hanna—who was still in her rebellious phase—would have eventually led them to run away from ho.

Banjee said indifferently, “You and Ash didn’t co to the 86th floor, so you don’t know that those chasing the miss are from the Family Reunion Office, those bastard bunnies.”

Hanna pointed at the sky, “Tonight is clear, without fog, all people of Vatican Mura are resting today, and no one will drive out.”

Ash suddenly realized, “So outside the city, the Family Reunion Office only needs to check the Gospel Book for Vatican Mura’s traffic conditions, and they could precisely pinpoint us! And what they are best at is invading and controlling all intelligent tools. If we had tried to escape by car directly, to them, it would have been like a takeout box with ourselves packaged and delivered!”

Unlike this fool Ash, who only focused on the enemy’s intelligence, Igula heard the subtle resentnt in Banjee’s words and went along with it, saying, “So it’s people from the Armor-Breaking Office… ah, last ti it was exhausting to fight those two operators. This ti, did the miss really solo a whole group of assassins by herself? Harvey, if you had walked any slower, could the miss have wiped out the enemy on her own?”

“How could that be…” Hanna laughed, “The last two were because they mobilized drones from all over the city, and Vatican Mura just happens to have fewer intelligent robots and drones, the Armor-Breaking Office people’s combat strategy is all designed around intelligent robots. So, after I blew up the robots they brought first, they basically had no way to hold back, and could only bully the fewer with their numbers. Luckily, Banjee and Harvey arrived in ti, or else my Magic Power would have been completely depleted.”

“But that also required the miss’s strong abilities to last until Harvey arrived. If it were us, we might have already been caught by the Armor-Breaking Office,” Igula marveled, “Miss, you move so fast, we have to try our best just to barely keep up with your pace.”

Hanna humd cheerfully, while Banjee turned to glance at Igula. Although the mask covered 90% of his expressions, from the softening gaze of the Housekeeper, Igula knew his verbal massage hit the right spot.

The fact that Ash and Igula hadn’t rushed to save Hanna was definitely going to leave a thorn in both Hanna and Banjee’s minds; the difference lay in Hanna not showing it, while Banjee was openly expressing dissatisfaction.

Igula’s solution was simple—explanations were aningless. When your own life is at stake, emotions will only think that one’s own life is the most important, and rationality is just helping emotion find hundreds of reasons to prove why it’s the most important—there’s no need to ntion not saving Hanna here, it suffices to just praise the Miss at every turn.

Banjee saw Hanna as a daughter, and for Igula to praise Hanna was a hundred tis more useful than praising Banjee himself. As for Hanna, if Igula’s judgnt wasn’t wrong, she likely grew up in an environnt lacking in positive encouragent.

One needn’t ntion her mother, Qinna; and the Housekeeper Banjee who raised her was not the type to excel at ‘praise’. When Hanna achieved sothing, most likely Banjee would complint her by saying ‘Miss, you are so capable’ or ‘Let’s make a cake tonight to celebrate’, but such praise was too common, too boring, and full of pandering to children, Hanna got tired of hearing it.

So Igula only needed to slightly guide Hanna to speak about her own achievents and verbally scratch where she itched, and that thorn would naturally co out. For Banjee, as long as you praised the Purple Moth, then you were his good brother from different parents, and any hard feelings in his heart would also dissipate.

However, this thod couldn’t be used too often, after all, Hanna was an adult in her twenties. If Igula praised her too frequently, her threshold would soon increase.

Whether it’s praise, criticism, or love—the more sparingly given, the more precious it seems.

Igula saw Ash signaling with his mouth: 80 points.

Originally, he’d planned to ignore that stinking idiot for at least 24 hours, but upon seeing this, the Swindler couldn’t help but give a disdainful glance, “Well, why don’t you show us a demonstration of perfect execution?”

Ash cleared his throat.

“Hanna.”

“Hm?” Hanna gave him a glance—calling my na so boldly?

“Qinna has agreed to our marriage arrangent.”

Igula stumbled, and Liss, who was on Ash’s back, let out a surprised “Aiyaiyai,” while Banjee stiffened—due to the distance, he actually hadn’t heard Ash and Qinna’s conversation while in the ga layer.

On the other hand, Hanna was relatively calm, “What’s going on?”

Ash explained how he’d disguised himself as her fiancé to scrape by, “…and then Qinna decided she would help us escape. You’re not going to get mad at for seizing the opportunity, are you?”

Liss breathed a sigh of relief, “You scared to death. Turns out it was just you, Daddy, lying to people.”

“If we hadn’t left Vatican Mura, it wouldn’t have been a lie,” Hanna said. “If Qinna truly agreed to protect you based on the premise that you’d marry into the Senheiser family, even if this matter was false, Qinna would make it true—she never makes a bad deal.”

Liss grew anxious, “But if Sister Hanna doesn’t agree, Big Sister Qinna can’t do anything, right?”

“My disagreent doesn’t matter. Qinna only wants Ash to marry in. Whether or not his wife is is completely irrelevant, as long as Ash’s wife bears the Senheiser na,” Hanna said. “Fortunately, we made a decisive escape; otherwise, after everything Qinna has done for Ash this ti, she would have definitely left him high and dry.”

Upon hearing the description ‘left him high and dry,’ Igula couldn’t help but steal a glance at Ash, whose gaze at that mont was a bit evasive… or perhaps longing?

“But really, would Qinna protect you just because you married into the family? She can’t be that naïve, can she?” Hanna murmured softly, causing Ash and Igula to break out in a cold sweat, “Is there so benefit entanglent here that I’m unaware of…?”

“Look!” Igula loudly pointed to a staircase leading underground in the distance, “Is this our escape route?”

Hanna nodded, “That’s right, this is the place. Let’s go in.”

Just as they were about to step into the passage, Harvey, who had been silent, suddenly stopped and sneezed, raising his hand and saying, “Wait a second.”

The Necromancer tilting his head back in overwhelming indulgence, his snorting nose drawing a figure-eight in the air, muttered unsettlingly, “Ah… mucous mbranes screaming, heart rate quickening, all nerves starting to curl, every pore beginning to dilate… ten thousand? A million? Or ten million?… Aha!”

The Necromancer convulsed, then, as if entering sage mode, suddenly ceased trembling and said cheerily, “Alright, I’m ready to go down now.”

“But we’re not ready,” Ash and Liss trembled, “What kind of Demon Cave is down there? This is the first ti I’ve seen Harvey like this; even when he smokes ten rolls of cat grass smoke at once, he’s not this high.”

Igula raised his eyebrows, “Below is the Six Emblems family’s graveyard?”

“Rather than a graveyard, you might be more familiar with another na for this place.”

Hanna stated, “rmaid Foetid-Weed Farm.”
