Chapter 439: Chapter 366 I Want This Dad Too
From the mont the Gospel Book popped open by itself, Igula began to think about how to appease an infuriated Hanna.
After all, in his view, it was a foregone conclusion that the funeral affairs would draw a blank in the second ranking list.
The assessnt content of the second ranking list was “Love and Family,” and among the four of them, Liss didn’t even have the qualification to enter the exam, and it was impossible for Harvey to get any question right besides writing his na correctly. Igula had been skipping classes and neglecting howork ever since he t that invigilator who almost made him succumb on the first day, and his usual scores were definitely zero.
The only one with a glimr of hope was Ash.
But it wasn’t that Igula looked down on him—Ash just seed like the type who would say, “It was a good exam experience, participation is what matters, I’ll try again next ti.”
Although Igula hadn’t been in contact with Ash in the past few days, as a Spirit Mage, he didn’t need to be in close contact to understand a person’s spirit; simply observing was enough. Judging by Ash’s eyes, sll, tone of speech, walking speed, and several other aspects, Igula concluded that he must still be a virgin, which was quite terrifying.
Igula had always felt, from their first encounter to the present, that Ash was rightfully accused of being a Cult Leader, and this was why.
A grown man in his twenties still exhibiting the behavioral characteristics of a virgin—the Swindler thought about it and could only attribute it to religious reasons, particularly so extrely evil, antisocial sectarian kind.
In the Blood Moon, there’s nothing more aberrant than “having no sexual life.”
Four candidates—one without qualifications, one who could avoid all the correct answers, one who skipped classes and exams, and one typical underachiever—Igula felt exhausted for Hanna.
Logically, this exam was really very simple since the subject of “Love and Family” was not a difficult point to grasp at all, and normal people should be loving and affectionate. Not to ntion Hanna even brought them to Vatican Mura—the family Rebirth Dream was practically a hormone steam bath. You could throw in an “icy and indifferent cat-type” and still get back a “passionate and sweet dog-type.” Surely Hanna must have thought the second ranking list was almost in the bag.
However, they were all a little bit off from being normal.
But when the future ranking list was issued, Igula knew that all the reasons he had prepared were useless.
No matter—it was very likely they were still facing an enraged Hanna.
“Family Ranking No. 10: Mist Spirit Clan – Senheiser”
“Family Ranking No. 9: chanical Spirit Clan – Aldo”
“Family Ranking No. 8: Capturing Spirit Clan – Vastino”
“Capturing Spirit Clan: The new Necromancer troops transford with the Vastino Family as the main object, generally have basic features like [Life Absorption], [mory Absorption], [Weak Vision].”
“Family Ranking No. 7: Shadow Spirit Clan – rcury”
“Shadow Spirit Clan: The new Necromancer troops transford with rcury Clan mbers as the main object, generally have basic features like [Shadow Stealth], [Shadow Binding], [Shadow Transformation].”
…
“Family Ranking No. 3: Netherworld Riders Clan – Roland”
“Netherworld Riders Clan: The new Necromancer troops transford with Roland Clan mbers and Nightmare Steed as the main objects, generally have basic features like [Calling the Nightmare Steed], [Direct Death Slash], [Horror Aura], [Life Drain].”
…
“Family Ranking No. 2: Dragon Sorceress Clan – Kaesryn”
“Dragon Sorceress Clan: The new Necromancer troops transford with Kaesryn Clan mbers and Carved Dragon as the main objects, generally have basic features like [Dragon Sorceress Transformation], [Dragon Sorceress Cloak], [Aging Breath], [Horror Aura].”
Well, how should one put it? Although, as Igula had guessed, none of them made it onto the list, the results could also be said to have dominated the entire ranking list…
Because in the prize item footage of each family, Ash Heath appeared!
“rcury, hunt those who have fallen into darkness,” Ash said.
“Roland, prepare to draw a blood line for ,” Ash continued.
“Kesray, purify this world,” Ash commanded.
What an overpowering presence!
So devilishly charming!
Utterly peerless!
Liss, nestled in Ash’s arms looking at the leaderboard, lifted her head and pointed at an image in the Gospel Book, “Daddy, I want this daddy.”
“I want this daddy too,” Ash said.
Hanna asked, “Ash, do you perhaps have a Legendary Mage father, Legendary Mage brother, or Legendary Mage mother who’s been missing for years?”
“Miss, all of us Blood Moonians are orphans, but I’ll gladly accept your Blessing,” he replied.
“Do you think I’m joking?” Hanna suddenly punched the wall and casually blew on her fist before continuing, “If you’d actually made the list, that would be one thing, but why do you keep appearing in the list materials without even a ranking?”
“I’d like to know that myself!” Ash said, throwing his hands in the air. “I’m the one being exploited by the Gospel for free! Why do they keep featuring when I haven’t received any rewards? I’m not a racist, I don’t abuse animals, and I don’t scalper tickets. Why are they framing like this?”
Hanna gestured to him, “Co here.”
Ash obediently walked over, only to be imdiately caught in a chokehold by Hanna.
Purple Moth sneered, “Let’s not ntion the others, but why would you have Qinna and Nona call you Master? Tell , do you secretly want my mom and aunt to be your personal maids?”
“Cough, cough, Miss, let plead my case,” Ash struggled desperately, signaling Liss for help. His daughter, understanding perfectly, hurried over to hold down Ash’s legs and interrogated him fiercely, “Spit it out, daddy, are you trying to find us a new mom?”
Damn, I should have just embraced you and smacked you straight into the ground with a Lotus Blossom Crash!
“It’s all slander by the Gospel, won’t you trust my character?” he pleaded.
“The Gospel doesn’t slander but only speculates,” Hanna countered. “You must have had so intimate contact with Qinna for the Gospel to infer that!”
Liss added, “I believe in daddy’s character, so he definitely did sothing bad!”
“Please, try to see it from my perspective. If I really liked the Miss’s mother and her aunt, do you think I’d admit it?” Ash earnestly tried to explain to everyone.
Igula blinked, not sure what to make of it.
Seriously, this can hardly be called a defense; it’s practically the sa as confessing!
At that mont, Harvey suddenly clapped his hands, drawing everyone’s attention, “I understand why the Gospel wove the story of Qinna and the others acknowledging Ash as their Master!”
Hanna asked, “Why?”
“Because we chatted about you a few days ago,” Harvey explained.
“I am , and Qinna is Qinna,” Purple Moth said forcefully, nearly making Ash roll his eyes: “It’s not in the footage calling him Master.”
“It’s like this,” Harvey mused, “At that ti, Ash complained that you don’t hand out points or money, there’s hardly any benefits but plenty of demands, saying you’re basically a fine lamppost, and then he said sothing related to your mother.” The Necromancer pondered, “That comnt was sothing like—”
