Chapter 494: Chapter 406 “Deceit List
When Harvey blocked rcury, Qinna, Hanna, and Banjee also quickly agreed to a ceasefire.
Hanna was not ignorant of the tis. They had no chance of escape, and with a great number of Hunters encircling them like predators, their only choice as prey was to seek allegiance with a Hunter who would opt for keeping them alive instead of slaughtering them.
Even if Hanna despised Qinna, she had to admit that, compared to becoming captives of the Red Hats or other families, becoming Qinna’s plaything was indeed the best way out at the mont.
“Harvey, Ash, we surrender to Senheiser!” After being released by Qinna, Hanna declared loudly, “We’re now Senheiser’s spoils of war!”
“Hey, hey, doesn’t this an our trip was in vain?”
“Senheiser can’t have everything. At the least, Ash Heath must face justice.”
“Archibald Harvey also cannot be handed over to Senheiser!”
The other three Holy Sanctuary Mages finally broke free from the ‘high imitation Flowing Gold River region’ constraint and arrived at the scene to partake in the spoils division eting. They were the Holy Sanctuary Mage from the Kaysree family, ‘Crying Red Hat’ Cleos from Azura, and ‘Red Cicada Duchess’ Anna from the Family Reunion Office.
Qinna stood together with the Funeral Ceremony people and waved her hand, releasing everyone from the Soul-locking Bullet restraints—actually, only a weak and helpless Ash was left whining.
The remaining four Holy Sanctuary Mages ford a semicircle around everyone, simultaneously putting pressure on Qinna.
“If you hadn’t ssed things up earlier, we wouldn’t be in this trouble now,” Qinna said flatly.
“Bullshit!” Hanna retorted unreservedly, “Even if I had surrendered to you the mont I saw you, would they have just stood by and watched you take us away? It would be better if you had let us go sooner, then there would’ve been no trouble at all!”
Hanna was acutely aware that this hunting mission was a joint effort, which inevitably would result in sordid disputes during the division, and unresolvable conflicts of interest at that.
Although the Holy Sanctuary Mages all tacitly knew that Ash Harvey was a deceiver listed in the Gospel, the Gospel’s assessnt of him would definitely have inaccuracies. Their rankings might be fake, but the Gospel’s prophecy of an apocalyptic disaster in the next fifty years was real!
At this ti, any ‘person’ with the ability to reach the future was extrely precious. Even if Ash Harvey was a counterfeit, getting him was a profit! Otherwise, why would they have traveled such a long distance to Mongfera to invade a private residence under the guise of public interest?
Not to ntion that Harvey could likely gain the Angel Inheritance in the future and even command the ten great Necromancy families to beco the indisputable King spoken of in the apocalyptic Gospel… Who wouldn’t want to take his place?
Ash might not be as valuable, but Cleos wanted to trade him for ranking positions. Other families surely also wanted this ‘ordinary male lead’ who had appeared on two lists consecutively. Therefore, though Ash’s value was small, it was only slightly less than that of ‘Undead King’ Harvey.
Hanna couldn’t escape either. She was the top-ranked individual on the Art List and also the head of the office; everyone knew that Ash’s presence on the lists was closely linked to her.
So when Hanna tightly closed her right eye and opened her left eye, which held the ‘Catastrophe Vision,’ she saw that she, Ash, and Harvey were all enveloped in black mist, clearly afflicted with disaster.
As expected, the young rcury said, “Since Senheiser was the first to capture them, out of the three important targets, Senheiser can choose any one of them. All other secondary targets will also belong to Senheiser. How about that?”
Kaysree chid in, “Whoever chooses Archibald Harvey must share his Necromancy results—not just with us but with other families listed in the ‘Family List.'”
Cleos hesitated for a mont, then shook her head, “No, Hanna is neither a wanted nor a future criminal. You have no right to decide her whereabouts. Since Hanna has chosen to ally with Senheiser, then they belong to Senheiser. As for the charge of harboring a criminal, that is for Captain Qinna to deal with. Captain Qinna, you only need to choose between Heath and Harvey.”
‘Red Cicada Duchess’ Anna looked deeply at Cleos before nodding in agreent, “The Crying Red Hat and I share the sa view.”
Kaysree’s and rcury’s expression soured instantly.
Hanna might not have been as important as the other two, but everyone had deduced from the previous two lists that Hanna was definitely a central figure in deceiving the Gospel.
If Hanna and the other outsiders were allowed to continue staying together, the Weaving Festival would undoubtedly be disrupted by them again.
At any other ti, it would have been bearable for everyone. But the next fifty years were critical for the survival of the Gospel, and the Weaving Festival was the most crucial channel of observation. They couldn’t allow Hanna to continue causing trouble!
What was more pressing was that if Senheiser obtained the deluxe package of Hanna plus any outsider, the advantage would be too great – akin to obtaining a ticket to the future!
A retreat could an a millennium-old family legacy; an advance could create a dynasty!
In an apocalyptic world where resources were scarce, Senheiser’s growth would inevitably squeeze the living space of other families!
Kaysree and rcury mulled over many plans in their minds, but with Cleos and Anna seemingly standing with Senheiser, they were powerless.
There were only five of them, Holy Sanctuary Mages here. Other families either lacked Holy Sanctuary Mages or couldn’t free themselves to co. Once they were faced with a 3:2 scenario, they could only watch as Senheiser erged victorious.
Qinna turned around and glanced at Ash, who was protecting Liss behind him, then at the Necromancer engulfed in green flas, before finally making eye contact with her daughter Hanna and the young man Banjee.
