Chapter 689: Chapter 543 Diya’s Suspicion

“I’m pleased to et you; I am Yooran Weiser.”

Appearing before Ash and his two companions was a quiet young girl wearing a small round hat, round-frad glasses on her nose, and a trench coat. It’s no wonder Ash and the others hadn’t noticed her before; she was indeed very inconspicuous standing in the crowd.

She seed sowhat introverted, gripping her notebook tightly and looking at the ground as she said, “It is a great honor to join your team.”

“I am the Observer; my current team role is ranged support, in charge of long-distance damage, protection, and healing,” Ash introduced, “This is the Sword Maiden, skilled in the Sword Technique Faction, expert in close-range combat, and the team’s primary damage dealer; and this is the Witch, proficient in both Ti and the Fist Claw Faction, specialized in control and disruption.”

Yooran Weiser was slightly taken aback before she said, “I am a Truth Mage; my usual tactic is to first collect intelligence on the enemy before choosing the appropriate Magic Faction based on their weaknesses. Well, it might sound arrogant, but I—”

Ash interrupted, “You build your Miracle System around the Thousand chanism Technique Spirit as your core Technique Spirit? Then, with over twenty silver Magic Factions you’re well-versed in, you hastily construct a set of tactics to counter the enemy?”

Yooran Weiser bowed her head slightly, concealing the light flickering in her eyes, “Yes, Observer, your summary is incredibly precise. I was still thinking about how to explain it, but you are already very aware of my Technique Spirits and Magic Factions.”

“Of course, I’m well-inford about the operators’ backgrounds,” Ash said thoughtfully, “From what I see now, you could take on any role within the team, but let’s confirm your tactical responsibilities through actual combat.”

“That’s wonderful.”

“Hmm?”

“Your team has such clear divisions of labor. It must have been through many challenges and real battles together.” Yooran Weiser’s face was full of envy, “You don’t have to venture alone into the Void Realm or face the enemy by yourself. In the face of danger, you can trust your companions with your back, and when you’re tired, you can chat and relax with friends… It’s truly amazing.”

“Really, thank you so much, Observer, for bringing into this team,” she earnestly said, “I will work hard to contribute to the team! Sword Maiden senior, Witch senior, Captain Observer, please guide !”

Sonia and Diya exchanged glances; faced with such humility from the other side, they naturally couldn’t keep a dark expression. Although they were upset that Ash had brought a new mber into the team without their consent (though they likely wouldn’t have consented anyway), they had to admit that the newcor was indeed significant for the team.

The Truth Faction!

One of the most mysterious Magic Factions!

Though being mysterious signifies antiquity, not like swordsmanship or gun technique, where new Technique Spirits and Miracles are born daily, the enigmatic also implies unpredictability. The enemy might be prepared for physical attacks like swords, guns, and fists, and attentive to energy attacks from fire, ice, wind, and thunder, and wary of ntal and Necromancy spiritual attacks, but it’s certainly difficult to defend against the covert strikes of factions like Fate, Prophecy, Truth, and Ti—how can you construct a defense against what you rarely, if ever, co into contact with?

Not to ntion the newcor is versed in over twenty Magic Factions. Just the volu of this knowledge ans a significant role in Exploration.

Most importantly, facing the flattery from a genuine Holy Sanctuary Mage, if Sonia and Diya said they didn’t feel secretly thrilled, it would definitely be a lie.

They are now much like Ash; smuggled Mages from the Mud Species entering the Distant Realm, their mastery of the Magic Factions not even reaching the Holy Sanctuary Level!

And yet, the newcor opened the Gate of Truth on her own and has gone further down the path of Mages than they have! Not to ntion her expertise in the Truth Faction!

However, now she timidly called them ‘Sword Maiden senior’ and ‘Witch senior,’ and while Sonia and Diya felt a touch embarrassed, they couldn’t help but entertain the thought filled with a sense of superiority: ‘The Holy Sanctuary of Truth is my junior.’

Plus, the new Operative seed gentle and frail, simply looking at her evoked a protective desire; she was impossible to dislike.

Still, Sonia rembered to question the alias issue: “Observer, why do you call us all by code nas but use her actual na?”

“I don’t know,” Ash shrugged, “When I… when I was choosing you all, I could only see your code nas, but hers was her True Na. Wait, Yooran Weiser might not be her na but a code na as well?”

The quiet young girl shook her head, “No, that is indeed my na. I don’t have a code na; maybe it’s because my characteristics aren’t prominent? You see, the Sword Maiden is beautiful and valiant, sharp and bright like a blade; the Witch is cute and capricious, just as her code na implies. But I am rather ordinary… If you prefer to use code nas, I can also adopt one.”

“No need,” Ash replied, “We’ll just call you Weiser normally.”

“Alright,” Weiser seed indifferent, “Then we—”

“Wait.”

Diya suddenly raised her hand to interrupt the conversation, her expression solemn as her gaze moved between Ash and Weiser, then she asked abruptly, “Observer, are you still unable to talk about your real-life situation?”

Ash looked bewildered but quickly grasped what she ant, “No, the Contract around has ended; I can now tell you what happened over the past two months. However, now is not the ti for that; we need to begin our Exploration of the Distant Realm—”

“You can get straight to the point—focus on your current situation,” Diya paused briefly, “Like whether you’re in any danger or if you’ve encountered any people.”
