“I thought he would be happy…” Diya murmured, “after all, both of us super cute girls liked him.”
“He was happy at first, but then he started to feel bad,” the White Queen said.
“Why? We weren’t even fighting,” Diya said.
“Because he felt your sadness,” the Red Death Cultist said.
“Am I sad?” Diya asked.
“You and the Sword Maiden are both good at hiding your feelings,” the Black Butler said. “She pretends she can tolerate it, deceiving others; you pretend you don’t care, deceiving yourself.”
“You like to act spoiled because you realize you are favored; and you act sensible because you’re afraid of being abandoned.”
“Even if there’s no warmth, no scent, the contact of heart to heart is the hardest to hide,” the White Queen said. “I have noticed several tis that when Ash touches the Sword Maiden, he’s consciously observing your emotions.”
