Chapter 1005
The next day, Grey was back in Vayun.
He had already inford his allies there of the oncoming war and the location which was now Arondale.
They had been shocked but determined.
Delivering the communication orb to Leo, he inford him of the decision to move the army to the Dwarven planet in a few months for easy movent back to Arondale.
He agreed but gave Grey a condition:
They needed to tell the army what was happening. Only then could they have their full loyalty and support.
Grey agreed but postponed the announcent to the next day as he had sothing to take care of today.
....
A few hours later, he stood before a house.
Tock. Tock. Tock.
He gave it a firm, good knock on the door.
He waited for a few seconds before the door cracked open to reveal a middle aged woman wiping her hands on her apron when she froze at who was at the door.
"Hello, Mother Clarice."
"G-G-Grey?!"
.....
Five minutes later, Grey could be seen inside the house— in the living room.
And in front of him sat Clarice, Yami and a scowling Finral who had tried attacking him again but was stopped by Yami.
"Well, this is a surprise. I thought you would spend months in your world but you have been really busy back here." Yami chuckled.
"... A high stage nine warrior in just weeks of becoming stage eight? Now you have wiped the Behemoth Clan totally and absorbed them into your faction? hn....you are crazy."
"I learnt from the best." Grey replied with a grin.
"Hah-hah... that’s my student!" Yami laughed loudly.
Finral rolled his eyes.
"What the hell do you want back here? Haven’t I told you that I never want to see you here again?"
Grey exhaled through his nose.
"Finral, can we keep your hatred for aside..."
"... No! I won’t, you murderer. I lost my sisters because of you and you want to keep that aside? How dare you?!" Finral interjected angrily as he shot out of his seat.
A pressure imdiately descended in the room before Grey could say anything.
"Finral... sit. Back. Down." Yami’s voice slithered through the air as he emphasized each word making sure they had the impact they deserved.
Finral clenched his jaws angrily for a few seconds before slamming his backside back into the couch and then turned his face away.
Yami then withdrew his aura before looking back at Grey.
"Well sire, what is it?"
"Sire?" Grey raised a brow.
Yami let out a chuckle.
"Of course. You are now a stage nine warrior and I recently got into stage six. You are definitely stronger than now. Hah-hah. Hard to believe you were this weak kid of two years ago."
Grey sighed with a shake of his head.
The next second, he straightened himself. The pressure oozing out of him was that of imnse seriousness.
Yami lifted a brow.
Grey turned to look at Clarice for several seconds.
"In three months, it’s going to be my birthday."
Yami smiled.
"Well, how are we going to celebrate this? You will be turning ninteen in three months huh? Where do you plan on going—?"
"... War."
"....!!!"
Clarice cocked a brow confusedly.
"War?"
Grey exhaled deeply.
"In three months, specifically on my birthday; the Otherworlders are going to launch a full scale attack with all their big guns with them on my world. So yes, I will be spending my birthday on the battlefield. And I won’t sugarcoat this, I might lose my life."
"... Good for you." Finral chid in with a scoff.
Grey paused for a second before continuing:
"I’m going to be very busy in these months as preparations for war is underway. I might not get the chance to co see you both again hence I ca down today. I-I-I don’t know, this might be the last ti I get to see you both..."
"Shut up!" Clarice barked angrily as she shot out of her seat.
"...."
Yami looked at his wife confusedly for a few seconds wondering what she was doing.
She had never raised her voice on Grey before, what was going on.
Exhaling through her mouth, she glared at Grey.
"These Otherworlders are the sa ones who took Millie and Vanessa from us, right?"
Grey lowered his head with a nod.
Tak. Tak. Tak.
Clarice stopped in front of him. Placing her finger on his chest, she growled.
"You will go to that war and make sure you co back victorious."
Grey slowly lifted his head to look into Clarice’s eyes.
Was he dreaming?
The sa woman that always made sure he didn’t do anything dangerous or go to war was urging him on this one?
What changed?
"Yes, Grey Dawn! I’m setting you free today! Go to that damned battlefield and make sure you wreck a hell of a chaos on those blasted Otherworlders for everything they have done.
They took millions of people’s lives, they took Millie and Vanessa from us. They also took your mum from you. You need to avenge. I want you to fight and make sure you win and then return to ."
Yami’s lips twitched slightly as he rose up from his own seat.
"And I will be coming on this war with yo—"
"... NO!" Grey quickly shouted as his head snapped upward.
Shaking his head, he uttered:
"Please, no. This is not a petty skirmish that I can guarantee the safety of everybody. This is a war I can’t guarantee my own safety so please, stay back. I-I-I’m the cause of your daughters’ deaths. Finral hates because of that."
Hearing his na, the boy just rolled his eyes in disdain.
"... I can’t be the cause for your death. You have done all you could for Yami Sir. It’s because of you I’m where I am at the mont. So please, have trust in your student that he will carry your teachings on and make your children murderers pay."
Grey demanded as he bowed in front of Yami with a determined expression.
The man looked at Grey for several seconds before Clarice looked at him with moist eyes.
"Sigh... Fine then. But you better co back from this otherwise I will co over and spank your ass!"
Grey smiled as he rose to his full height.
"I most certainly don’t want my ass spanked."
Yami’s eyes grew moist.
"Then better co back."
Grey looked in Finral’s direction.
"I will avenge the death of Millie and Vanessa. I promise."
"Tsk." Finral rely scoffed.
Grey then looked back at Clarice and Yami. His hands spread out wide.
"A hug?"
"Wow. Grey Dawn is requesting for a hug? Weren’t you the one who didn’t like to be touched?" Noir snickered in his mind.
Clarice shook her head.
"No. When you return, you will get the hug."
The corner of Grey’s lips twitched as he dug his hands back into his pockets then nodded at the duo.
Tak. Tak. Tak. Clack. Clack.
He stood in front of the door.
Looking back at the house, he bead.
"I will be back."
Swinging the door open, he exited.
