Chapter 1055
"KUK... ACK..."
Grey could be seen stuck in between two mountain ridges with red mist oozing from his mouth repeatedly.
He was stuck, his hands and body frozen into the stone with his head hanging low.
Blood drooled from his lips toward the earth like it was water.
The hit had been incredibly heavy, so much so that it felt like Grey had been whacked in the face by two trains at once.
Not like he knew what being hit by trains felt like, but he imagined if those existed in the world, this would have been what it would feel like.
He could feel a constant ringing in his ears, not allowing him to focus properly.
His world spun, his eyes blurry and unable to make out any shapes while his head was incredibly disoriented.
"Ack... ugh..."
He coughed up another mouthful of blood before he felt a hand touch his head.
His heart skipped a dozen beats imdiately as he desperately tried to clear the fogginess that was clouding his eyes and mind.
Before he was allowed to, he felt the hand leave his head, and the very next second, the sa force that had sent him crashing in this direction clobbered into his face again.
A tooth flew out with crimson spraying from his nose and mouth, the inertia yanking him backward and totally destroying three mountains with his body.
The whole structure crumbled into re stone rubble with his body laying amidst the debris.
It hurt.
His head, mind, heart, and everything hurt.
He could hear a volley of footsteps bouncing all around him as if he were in a cave of so sort.
But that couldn’t be right; there was nothing of the kind here.
Or had he been blasted across the planet?
That could be possible because when he first arrived, north of him had mountains that stretched as far as his eyes could see, and to his south then was the now-obliterated forest.
’Did-Did-Did I get hit into a mountain?’
His head throbbed as he slowly tried to clear his vision, and it was beginning to do so.
’Nope. Not a cave.’
He was in a damn do... a tal do conjured by Gustav to trap him in its depths.
’What was this for? I could escape if I wanted to though.’
He managed to push onto his knees, feeling his bodily functions returning to him.
The next second, he could feel the incredibly expansive do shrinking at lightning speed, and jutting out from its surface were long tal spikes.
’He wants to not only compress to my death but impale ? Two-factor authentication? What a cruel father I have.’
"Spatial magic: Dinsional Slash," Grey calmly uttered as he swung his hand outward.
Imdiately, an ashen slash tore forth and slamd into the do.
For a second, nothing happened as the do was now inches away from shrinking and impaling the mage, when a slash tore through the tal and it imdiately fell apart, ejecting Grey forcefully from the entrapnt.
He stumbled outside and imdiately looked around him, searching for his father, but the man was nowhere to be seen.
’At least I didn’t get teleported to soplace else though.’
The mont he finished that thought, his eyes stretched wide instantaneously while spinning around faster than his brain could keep up.
Ki flooded his hands as he shot them forward, clamping onto a giant tal hamr that had been speeding toward his skull.
Intercepting the weapon with his bare hands, the force of the slam sent his knees tearing through the earth and forced a nine-ter-wide hollow to split open.
His teeth were grinding back and forth as he shot daggers at Gustav, who was holding onto the hamr’s handle.
"You really like hamrs, huh? Here, eat mine!"
Bursting out from the earth was an enormous earthen hamr that hurtled toward Gustav, who glared at it with an unfazed expression.
He was about to blink away when Grey forced the tal hamr away from him, and then strings made entirely of fire ca into existence, coiling around the man’s legs and keeping him rooted.
It was just long enough for the earthen weapon to shatter against his face, drawing specks of blood as his head was thrown to the side.
"...."
Gustav was beyond furious as he stared at his blood dripping to the ground while the pieces from the shattered stone crumbled to the earth.
Even without his command, tal spikes fired forward.
The Supre Magus leaped onto his feet and began performing acrobatic flips backward, avoiding the spikes with utter feline grace as they tore ridges into the terrain.
He kept flipping until a distance of ten ters was established between him and his father.
Knowing the man’s abilities, he knew that this distance could be bridged within the span of the blink of an eye.
Spitting saliva mixed with blood, Gustav wiped his mouth and looked ahead to see where Grey had landed.
"Just a bloody coward and an annoying pest, just like your mother. That wench deserved to die for birthing you."
Grey had been gearing up for another attack when he suddenly froze.
His muscles loosened as his mouth hung open for a second.
He was initially confused, then shocked, then annoyed, and now... totally furious.
His eyes began glowing a hot white as he stared angrily in Gustav’s direction.
"What did you say?"
"I said what I said, you son of an annoying wench."
"...."
The mage’s hair was beginning to float above his shoulders as a soft white glow surrounded his body.
He was slowly levitating above the ground.
The clouds darkened to the extent it almost seed as if it were nightti.
Lightning could be heard rumbling in their depths with such fury that it seed like an ancient beast lay in slumber within the skies.
Wind howled and furiously blew, as if resonating with the warrior-mage’s intense wrath.
"Now you need to die."
"Breakthrough."
BOOOOM!
A massive burst of energy rushed outward, shaking the whole planet for a mont while Gustav stared with a calm detachnt at the display.
"Kaiser, Salamander."
Almost imdiately, a gigantic wind bird roared into existence beside Grey, followed by a dragon wreathed in flas.
Flapping its wings once, Kaiser released a thousand wind swords that glowed dangerously, ready to be fired out at will.
