Then she gently wrapped the silk scarf around Hong Sera’s neck. "Don’t play too much, okay? Co ho early and have dinner with us. Your brothers are worried about you."

"Thank you for the silk scarf, Minyoung Unnie," Hong Sera said, smiling at her oldest sister-in-law. "I’ll co ho early and have dinner with our family."

"YOU TWO," Hong Sera said while walking in the garden with Yang Jaewon and Kwon Gaon. They would be using Yang Jaewon’s car, and it was parked outside the mansion. "You already know that Sohee Oppa was kidnapped, don’t you?"

After all, Yang Jaewon and Kwon Gaon didn’t sound surprised in the GC.

"My family’s security agency handles the security team in the Ilsung Group," Kwon Gaon explained. "They notified us when Sohee Hyung was kidnapped, then they requested more bodyguards after Sohee Hyung was brought to the hospital."

"So journalists sohow found out that Song Sihyuk Hyung-nim’s child was kidnapped, so the Ilsung Group and the SG Group bribed all the dia outlets that tried to release the news," Yang Jaewon explained. "Our broadcasting station received one, too."

Hong Sera pouted when the realization hit her. "I was the last one to know."

"We didn’t tell you because we didn’t want to stress you out," Yang Jaewon said, gently patting her on the head. "You were sick recently, after all."

"I’m fine now," Hong Sera assured her friends. "You worry too much."

Yang Jaewon and Kwon Gaon both just shrugged.

The bodyguards at the gate bowed to them politely before opening the gates.

Yang Jaewon’s car was parked right there...

... next to a familiar car.

"Sera-ya."

It was Han Raehyun.

"What are you doing here, Han Raehyun?" Hong Sera asked in a tired voice. "Didn’t I tell you that I didn’t want to see you in the anti?"

"I was just worried about you, Sera-ya," Han Raehyun said. "How are you?"

"Thank you for your concern, but I’m really fine now," Hong Sera said, feeling awkward because she wasn’t really ready to face Han Raehyun yet. After all, she didn’t have the energy to explain what happened during the ti that she was sick. "Raehyun-ah, I’m really busy today. I’ll call you when I’m ready to talk."

"But you’ve been avoiding for days now, Sera-ya," Han Raehyun insisted. "We can’t delay this any longer."

"Raehyun-ah, not now. I’m serious. We’re really busy."

"Sera-ya—"

"Dude, quit it," Yang Jaewon said, standing in front of Hong Sera protectively. "We’re busy, okay? Sera said she’ll contact you once she’s ready, so why not wait like a good puppy?"

Han Raehyun detected the sarcasm in Yang Jaewon’s words, so he lifted his head and glared at Yang Jaewon.

Hong Sera wanted to break the two’s mini staring contest, but Kwon Gaon patted her on the back.

"Let’s go, Sera-ya."

"Oh," Baek Jeho said, and then he walked backwards. He then gently held Jeong Hyerin’s hand and pulled her closer until the two were standing in front of Cho Euntak. "You haven’t t her personally, right? This is Jeong Hyerin, my girlfriend."

’My girlfriend.’

Cho Euntak already knew that, but it still hurt hearing that straight from Baek Jeho.

"Jeong Hyerin, this is Cho Euntak— my best friend."

’My best friend.’

Even hearing those words hurt like hell.

But Cho Euntak still forced a smile when exchanging greetings with Jeong Hyerin.

She seems like a good person.

Baek Jeho and Jeon Hyerin looked good together, too.

"I have to be this harsh because you can be dense sotis," Jeong Hyerin said, glancing at her watch. "Go and talk to your friend. I’ll wait in the car. If you don’t co out after five minutes, I’m leaving."

After saying that, Jeong Hyerin left coolly.

Cho Euntak was inspired to grow a spine after seeing how cool Jeong Hyerin was.

I love her confidence, and I hate that I understand why Baek Jeho fell for her.

"Hyung, stop attracting drama in your life. You already got kidnapped twice."

Right.

But what could Sohee do?

"Sihyuk Hyung-nim said he’ll be here soon with Garam Hyung-nim and their son."
