GO GUNJOON burped, causing Sohee and Kim Heedo to turn to the kid at the sa ti.
As if he was embarrassed, Go Gunjoon’s face turned red.
Aww.
Cute.
"I’m full," Go Gunjoon said shyly while rubbing his belly. "Thank you for the delicious lunch, Hyung-nim and Brother-in-law."
Aigoo.
Sohee felt like he’d go blind when Kim Heedo’s face bead after Go Gunjoon called him ’Brother-in-law.’
My husband is really imrsed in his role as a brother-in-law to Go Gunjoon.
In fact, Go Gunjoon only wanted to have a seafood buffet at a pretty much normal restaurant. Yes, the restaurant was "pricy" for a student like him.
If Sohee were still in his broke era, he would have agreed with his half-brother.
But after being a "new money," he realized the price of the seafood buffet at the restaurant that Go Gunjoon wanted to eat at was pretty cheap.
Money changed .
Anyway, Kim Heedo didn’t trust the restaurant that Go Gunjoon chose, so their conversation earlier went like this:
"Go Gunjoon, does it have to be this place? Or do you just want to eat seafood?"
"I love seafood, Hyung-nim. But king crabs are too expensive for our family, so we only have them during special occasions. That’s why I’m using this chance to dine in at a seafood buffet restaurant."
"So, it doesn’t have to be this particular restaurant? Any place that serves a seafood buffet will do?"
"I guess?"
"Then let’s move to a different place."
That was how the three of them ended up at the seafood restaurant in the 5-star hotel that Ilsung Group owned.
King Crabs.
Lobsters.
Even sushi and sashimi.
There were other dishes that were served that Sohee couldn’t rember the na of, but all of them were delicious.
No wonder Go Gunjoon is full.
"You don’t have to thank us," Kim Heedo said coolly. "Like I said earlier, this is your reward for protecting your Sohee Hyung."
Go Gunjoon smiled shyly. "I feel guilty since I’m the only one who got to eat tasty food today."
"Don’t worry," Kim Heedo assured the kid. "I’ll order all the dishes we had today and have them delivered at your parents’ house imdiately."
Sohee wasn’t surprised that Kim Heedo was being generous again.
Spending money on people he likes is his love language.
He also didn’t have any intention to stop his husband from spoiling Go Gunjoon and his family.
His money, his choice.
It wasn’t like buying expensive als would put a dent in Kim Heedo’s wealth.
"You know where I live, Brother-in-law?"
"Kid, how do you think I found out about your drug scandal?"
"Are you really a chaebol, then?" Go Gunjoon asked, his eyes sparkling. Then he brought out his phone and computer tablet from his old backpack. "Brother-in-law, are you really the grandson of the company that made these gadgets? My Universe phone and my Universe Tab?"
"Yeah, we made those," Kim Heedo said, and then he knitted his eyebrows. "But hey. Both your phone and tablet are old models."
"No, they’re not," Go Gunjoon complained lightly while pouting. "My parents got these for during my first year of middle school. That was only three years ago."
"Yeah, they’re old," Kim Heedo said bluntly. "We’ll buy you new gadgets. You also need a computer and a laptop, right? Let’s get everything a student like you would need."
Aigoo.
Again, Sohee didn’t stop Kim Heedo.
It’s not up to anyway.
"Is it okay for to receive this much from Hyung-nim and Brother-in-law? We’ve only known each other for a few days," Go Gunjoon said hesitantly. "I know it’s hypocritical of to hesitate now after accepting all the things you’ve given . But I’m starting to feel bad. After all, Sohee Hyung-nim already offered to help transfer to a new school. That alone should be enough..."
Kim Heedo turned to Sohee with questioning eyes.
Oh, right.
We haven’t discussed it yet.
"It’s sothing that occurred to on the spot, so I haven’t ntioned it to you yet, Heedo-ya," Sohee explained because he didn’t want his husband to misunderstand. "I can’t trust the adults in that school after I witnessed how they treated Go Gunjoon. So, I thought I should transfer him sowhere else. Haewon and Hanhae often ntioned that their school and schoolmates treat scholarship students well, so if possible, I’d like to send Go Gunjoon there."
"Oh, it’s possible. Chunhwa High School accepts transfer students at any given ti as long as you pass their admission exam," Kim Heedo said while nodding. "They are lenient because their admission exam is known for being the most difficult in the entire country. So, even if they accept late transfer students, it rarely happens. They also don’t accept bribes, that’s why they’re also known for their integrity. Do you understand what I’m saying, Go Gunjoon?"
"Yes, Brother-in-law," Go Gunjoon said while nodding firmly. "I will study like crazy."
"It’s enough that you pass the admission exam. Don’t worry about whether your exam result will score you a scholarship. We’ll take care of your tuition fees."
"Discuss it with your parents first, though," Sohee said. "I don’t want them to think that I’m trying to control your life. In the first place, I’m only doing this because I can."
Go Gunjoon fell silent for a mont. "Hyung-nim, I want to live my life in easy mode."
Hmm?
"You might call thick-skinned or whatever, but I won’t turn down your generosity," Go Gunjoon said in a serious tone. "I realized how helpless I am because of this incident. And I don’t want to feel that way again. I will pay you back once I succeed in the future, Hyung-nim and Brother-in-law. But, for now, I’ll depend on you and your generosity. So, I’m sorry if I have to leech off you for a few more years."
"It’s not leeching off of u when we’re the ones who offered to help you," Sohee said gently. "I like your mindset, Go Gunjoon. Why suffer when there are people willing to help you? And I like how you’re determined to pay us back once you succeed. That’s the right attitude to have."
That was the sa mindset Sohee had.
I’m tired of being poor, so I accepted Chairman Kim’s offer to marry Kim Heedo.
He must have lost his pride, but he gained sothing more important.
A doting husband and warm in-laws.
"You’re a smart kid, so we trust that you won’t accept help just from anyone," Kim Heedo added, sounding strict. "Not everyone is as kind as your Sohee Hyung."
"Yes, Brother-in-law," Go Gunjoon said while nodding. "I’ll keep that in mind."
***
"HYUNG, why are you acting like a tsundere around your brother?"
Sohee was admiring the presidential suite of the hotel that Kim Heedo booked when his husband asked that silly question.
And, yes, my husband booked this suite when he reserved a seat at the restaurant.
They already sent off Go Gunjoon earlier.
Mr. Shin drove him ho while we checked in.
"You acted like you were just helping him just because," Kim Heedo said teasingly. "But you’re helping Go Gunjoon because you care about him, don’t you?"
Sohee acted dumb, of course. "I just need a reason to spend the allowance I receive from your family, you know?"
Yeah, he was acting like a tsundere, but he didn’t want to admit it.
"Riiight."
Ah, dammit.
Kim Heedo already knows a little too well.
"Stop teasing , brat."
Kim Heedo just burst out laughing, and then he patted the space next to him. "Co here, Hyung."
Sohee looked at the beautiful view from outside the window one last ti before he sat next to his husband. "Why did you book a suite? Is it a requirent to dine in at their restaurant?"
"No, it’s not. I just thought it would be nice to spend the weekend here. We deserve this after a tiring week."
Right?
"I’m sorry for not telling you in advance, Hyung."
"Oh, it’s alright. I’m fine with surprises like this."
Kim Heedo looked relieved.
"By the way, what did you talk about with Mayor Kang and Kang Woong?" Sohee asked curiously. "Did you find out who the supplier is?"
"Fortunately, Mayor Kang scolded his son until Kang Woong finally gave the information I wanted," Kim Heedo said. "And I didn’t hear a new na. The one who supplied the miracle pills to Kang Woong was the sa sunbae-nim who gave him the drugs. Apparently, Jung Byeol was about to throw them away, so he asked if he could continue the business. And that was also how Kang Woong found out the ledger in Go Gunjoon’s hands."
Haaah.
"And this Jung Byeol..."
"Yeah, it was the Oga kid who attacked before," Kim Heedo confird. "The picture that Go Gunjoon showed us when we asked for it was the sa picture that Kang Woong showed ."
"That Oga kid looked innocent, so I’m surprised that he’s a drug dealer," Sohee said, sighing while shaking his head. "You already asked Mr. Shin to run a deep background check on Jung Byeol, didn’t you?"
"Yes. Since we asked him for an extensive investigation, Ahjussi asked for the help of his colleagues. It will take so ti before we get the results."
"It’s fine as long as we get all the information we need."
"You’re really serious about this, huh?"
"Of course, I am," Sohee said firmly. "Your pheromones are mine and mine alone, Kim Heedo. I won’t let anyone steal them—much less use them to complete those stupid miracle pills."
If a prominent (and very scary) chaebol like Song Sihyuk wasn’t able to completely hide his identity as a Hyper-Dominant Alpha, who was to say that the sa unfortunate thing wouldn’t happen to Kim Heedo?
There was a market for the pheromones of Hyper-Dominant Alphas.
So, Jin Taejoon wouldn’t be the first and last bastard who’d have the guts to ss with a chaebol just for those rare pheromones.
I have to protect Kim Heedo by getting rid of that market.
Sohee’s train of thought was cut off when Kim Heedo’s pheromones suddenly got stronger.
This sll...
Oh, Kim Heedo was horny.
And so am I.
Sohee raised his head and t his husband’s lustful gaze. "Heedo-ya, from now on, the sex ban is lifted."
Kim Heedo didn’t waste ti pushing Sohee down the bed.
***
WHAT to do? Should I call Sohee Hyung? But he must be busy with solving his brother’s drug scandal...
Cho Euntak didn’t know what else to do while waiting in front of the operating room.
And now he was lost.
"Euntak-ah!"
Oh.
It was Baek Jeho.
This ti, Cho Euntak called his friend because he needed Yang Jaewon and Kwon Gaon’s contact numbers.
Both Sohee Hyung and Kim Heedo Sunbae-nim weren’t picking up their phones.
Fortunately, Baek Jeho had Yang Jaewon and Kwon Gaon’s contact numbers, and he brought the two there.
I’m glad I’m not alone now.
"What happened, kid?" Yang Jaewon asked worriedly, grabbing Cho Euntak by the shoulders. "How’s Hong Sera?"
"S-Sera Noona is still in the operating room," Cho Euntak said in a shaking voice. "And so is Jin Minki Sunbae-nim."
"Jin Minki?" Kwon Gaon asked, knitting his eyebrows. "Hong Sera and Jin Minki got into an accident together?"
