SOHEE felt like he was having a ntal breakdown after realizing that the way he reacted to his twins’ Secondary Gender was wrong.

He was relieved when he heard that Kim Woosung was an Alpha.

But he thought it was a pity that Kim Woochul was an Oga.

The thought only crossed his mind for a mont, but he still felt awful.

I’m a horrible mother...

"Sohee-ya, here."

Oh.

Sohee was a bit surprised when his mother-in-law sat across from him, and then she gently put a cup of tea down on his side of the table.

"That will help you calm down, sweetie."

"Thank you, Mother-in-law."

The twins were still at the hospital because Dr. Seong Kyungmin put them under observation.

He needed a breather, so he stepped out of the room and went to the hospital’s café.

Kim Heedo was left with the twins.

My husband probably sent my mother-in-law to keep company.

"We already had the entire hospital staff in charge of the twins sign an NDA," President Kang Nari, his mother-in-law, assured Sohee. "Don’t worry, Sohee-ya. Your children’s early manifestation won’t leak to the public. We’ll also make sure that the doctors who know won’t treat them like they were test subjects. Heedo will make sure of that."

Sohee smiled and nodded weakly. "I know, Mother-in-law— I trust you and Heedo."

"Are you okay, dear?"

"I feel awful, Mother-in-law."

"May I know why?"

"When I heard that Woosung is an Alpha, I felt relieved. And I felt the opposite when I heard that Woochul is an Oga," Sohee said, his tears rolling down his cheeks quietly. "I told myself that my children’s Secondary Gender didn’t matter to . But look at now. I hate to admit this, but I’m more worried about Woochul now that I know he’s an Oga. I’m a horrible parent for having those thoughts."

"Sohee-ya, having those thoughts doesn’t make you an awful parent," his mother-in-law consoled him. "It’s only natural to worry about your children’s Secondary Gender, even moreso when they awaken as an Oga. After all, as an Oga yourself, you know how hard it is to live as one. There’s nothing wrong about sympathizing with your child— as long as you don’t dwell on it."

At the back of Sohee’s mind, he knew that his mother-in-law was correct.

And I’ve had this conversation with Kim Heedo plenty of tis already.

However, he knew that sothing else was bugging him.

"Sohee-ya, are you afraid that you’d end up hating Woochul like how your mother hated your Secondary Gender?"

Oh.

That was it.

His mother-in-law was right.

I was abandoned by my mother when she found out that I was an Oga. Although Eomma’s circumstances were different from mine, I’m still anxious that I’d end up like her.

"Mother-in-law, I know that I will never abandon my baby just because I found out that he’s an Oga. That’s why I feel silly. I don’t know why I’m so afraid that I’ll end up like my mother when I know that I’m different from her. I’m being illogical, am I not?"

"No, not at all. It just shows that you’re still traumatized by what happened to you in the past," President Kang Nari said carefully, and then she placed a hand over his. "Dear, would you like to seek professional help?"

Oh.

That was an option that didn’t cross Sohee’s mind until that mont.

WHEN Sohee returned to the twins’ VIP Room, Kim Woochul and Kim Woosung were already asleep.

But judging by their complexion, it was obvious that his children were still sick.

And that broke his heart.

"Honey, the twins are still running a fever," Kim Heedo explained, imdiately gathering Sohee in his arms. "Since Kyungmin Hyung said the twins are still under observation, I asked Kim Hanhae and Kim Haewon to babysit our baby princess."

Oh, right.

Kim Hanhae and Kim Haewon dropped by at the hospital earlier when they heard the twins were taken there.

Then Kim Heedo asked his siblings to take Kim Woohee ho.

It will be bad if Kim Woohee falls sick, too.

"Kyungmin Hyung assured us that it’s only normal because their bodies aren’t used to pheromones yet. It’s just like what happened to Gunwoo before. Do you rember when Gunwoo awakened when he was only six?"

Sohee nodded weakly, wrapping his arms around his husband. "Heedo-ya, I’m tired."

"Oh. Then you should go ho, Hyung."

It seed like Kim Heedo panicked because he suddenly addressed Sohee as ’hyung’ again.

"I’ll stay here with the twins, Hyung. Let just call Ahjussi and ask him to drive you ho."

"I’m tired ntally, Heedo-ya."

"Oh."

"Mother-in-law suggested therapy."

"I agree with Eomma’s suggestion," Kim Heedo said while gently rubbing Sohee’s back. "I will respect your decision, Hyung. But if you ask , I’d like it if you consult a professional. I want you to prioritize your ntal health."

"If I start seeing a therapist, I’m afraid I can’t be fully hands-on with the kids."

"Don’t worry about that, Hyung. We can hire more people to help us. Plus, I’m not that busy right now. I’ll co ho early and take as many vacation leaves as I can."

"I’m sorry."

"You have nothing to apologize for, Hyung. I want you to get better."

"Thank you, Heedo-ya."

Kim Heedo hugged Sohee tighter. "I’m just here for you, Hyung. Please feel free to lean on whether you’re tired or not."

Aww.

Sohee hugged Kim Heedo and closed his eyes, basking in his husband’s scent. "I love you, Heedo-ya."

"I love you, too, Sohee Hyung."

***

"MAMA, Woohee wants more..."

Kim Woohee wasn’t able to finish her sentence.

After all, both Kim Woochul and Kim Woosung put a spoonful of their egg and tofu porridge on Kim Woohee’s pink bowl from their own.

Aww.

Sohee smiled while watching his children share food.

After the twins got discharged from the hospital, he cooked the children’s favorite egg and tofu porridge for them.

And, yes, the three had already made up.

As expected, the twins’ attitude towards their sister was just a misunderstanding.

"We didn’t want Woohee to get infected by our virus! We know we were sick!"

That was Kim Woochul’s explanation when asked why they didn’t share their food with Kim Woohee.

And when Sohee asked why the twins avoided their sister...

"We stink! We don’t want Woohee to sll us!"

That was Kim Woosung’s answer.

In short, the twins slled their own pheromones.

They thought they slled ’bad’ because they were sick.

"Woochul-ah, Woosung-ah, Woohee-ya," Sohee called his children, causing them to look at him at the sa ti. "If you’re feeling even slightly sick next ti, please tell Mama, okay?"
