BAEK JEHO only left Cho Euntak’s side when his parents arrived.

Since his parents were already there, his guests bid him goodbye and wished for his speedy recovery.

But he knew that his friends wouldn’t leave the hospital yet.

I’m sure they’ll wait with Baek Jeho for the result of the pills’ test.

Yep, Baek Jeho went to et Dr. Seong Kyungmin to have the stabilizer pills checked.

We can’t ignore Gunwoo’s words since Gunwoo had already saved his parents once, all thanks to his sensitive nose.

They would lose nothing by checking.

Since Cho Euntak couldn’t leave the room yet, he asked Baek Jeho to do stuff for him.

He also told Dr. Seong Kyungmin that it was okay to let Baek Jeho (and their friends) know the results of both the stabilizer analysis and his blood test before him. Since nothing was confird yet, Cho Euntak kept it a secret from his parents in the anti.

About letting the chaebols hear the result of the tests before him and his parents...

Well, he figured the chaebols could help them sue the pharmaceutical company later if proven that he was given a harmful dicine. Yes, he ca from a middle-class family. But suing a big corporation wouldn’t be easy.

Sohee Hyung taught that it’s okay to receive help from chaebols if they offer.

"Euntak-ah, the doctor said you can only eat soft food for now," his mother said while preparing his al. The VIP Room that Baek Jeho chose for him was like a hotel suite with its own bathroom, living room, and dining area. "So, I made porridge for you."

"I love your porridge, Eomma," Cho Euntak said. "Thank you."

"Are you feeling better now, son?" his father asked worriedly. "Eomma and Appa are sorry that we weren’t there for you last night."

"It’s okay, Appa. You sent Baek Jeho to our house, so everything ended well."

"I’m really liking our son-in-law more and more."

Cho Euntak blushed, happy that his parents really loved Baek Jeho for them.

That thought put him in a bad mood...

I bought the pheromone stabilizer from a known pharmacy, and the person who handed it to was Kim Minjae-ssi.

BAEK JEHO handed the suspicious pheromone stabilizer to Dr. Seong Kyungmin for analysis.

The doctor said the test would take a while.

However, the other test result that they were waiting for had already arrived.

Hence, he ended up in the doctor’s office.

Baek Jeho wasn’t alone there.

Park Sohee, Lim Garam, and Song Sihyuk accompanied him.

Sera Noona went to the café with Gunwoo since Gunwoo said he wanted a smoothie.

"So, I have the result of Cho Euntak-ssi’s blood and pheromone level test," Dr. Seong Kyungmin said carefully. "With his permission, I’m revealing the result now: Cho Euntak-ssi’s pheromones registered as pheromones that belong to an Oga."

Baek Jeho’s eyes widened in shock. "How could that be possible, Hyung? Are you saying that Cho Euntak is turning into an Oga? Is sothing like that possible?"

"A Beta can turn into an Oga, so I don’t think an Alpha turning into an Oga is hard to believe," Lim Garam, speaking from experience, said. And then he turned to Song Sihyuk. "Hyung, does a drug that could turn an Alpha into an Oga already exist?"

"Not that I know of," Song Sihyuk said while shaking his head. "I would know if sothing like that is already in existence."

"Wait, I don’t think that’s the main issue right now," Park Sohee said. "Even if a drug like that exists, I don’t think Cho Euntak would take it. That kid doesn’t want to be an Oga. He’s content with his Secondary Gender."

Baek Jeho nodded in agreent. "Hyung, Cho Euntak won’t take drugs that would turn him into an Oga."

"I’m not saying that I don’t believe you. But even if that’s the truth, it doesn’t change the fact that the sudden change in Cho Euntak-ssi’s pheromones isn’t natural," Dr. Seong Kyungmin said. "The result shows that Cho Euntak-ssi has taken illegal drugs."

"It must be the stabilizers," Song Sihyuk said. "My son said the stabilizers slled bad. Gunwoo only says that about illegal substances."

Baek Jeho clenched his hands tight. "If that’s the case, then Cho Euntak has been taking illegal drugs without his knowledge. I’ll fucking sue the pharmaceutical company that manufactured those stupid stabilizers. That quack doctor, too!"

"Let’s calm down and wait for the analysis result first," Dr. Seong Kyungmin said. "It will be out shortly."

And the result?

The supposedly pheromone stabilizer turned out to be illegal drugs that could possibly turn soone into an Oga!

CHO EUNTAK was shocked after hearing the results from Dr. Seong Kyungmin.

His pheromones were similar to an Oga’s now.

Plus, the pheromone stabilizer that he had been taking for more than two weeks now turned out to be illegal drugs.

Of course, his parents were as shocked as he was.

Hence, he felt the need to explain.

Thankfully, he didn’t feel that pressured because aside from his parents and Dr. Seong Kyungmin, only Baek Jeho was in the room at the mont.

They are people I trust, and people who love .

"I didn’t know that the stabilizers were illegal drugs," Cho Euntak said in a shaking voice. "I only bought the dicines that my doctor prescribed to that day."

"Yes, Euntak-ssi. We believe you," Dr. Seong Kyungmin said. "Having said that, an investigation is still required. After all, this case involves illegal drugs. But don’t worry— you’re the victim here."

"Doctor, we have questions."

While Cho Euntak’s parents were asking Dr. Seong Kyungmin if they had enough evidence to sue the pharmaceutical company, Baek Jeho sat next to him and held his hand.

Just his boyfriend’s presence was enough to calm him down.

But, of course, he was still worried.

"Jeho-ya, I respect Ogas— they are strong and resilient. But I don’t want to be one, especially not through illegal drugs," Cho Euntak said carefully. "Is there a way to stop my transition?"

"I asked Kyungmin Hyung, and he said that your transition hasn’t progressed much yet. It will slow down as soon as you stop taking the drugs, so don’t worry too much," Baek Jeho assured him. "Kyungmin Hyung will discuss the next step later."

Cho Euntak heaved a sigh of relief.

Thank goodness there’s still hope.

"Euntak-ah, I will help you sue the pharmaceutical company," Baek Jeho assured him. "I already asked Eomma to reach out to our family lawyer."

"Jeho-ya."

"Yeah?"

"Is there a possibility that I’m not the only victim?"

"Yes, of course," Baek Jeho said while nodding. "Kyungmin Hyung already checked the manufactured date of the stabilizers that you bought. He filed a complaint, so pharmacies would stop selling the stabilizers that were produced in the sa batch as yours."

"But what if I’m the only victim?"

"What makes you say that, Euntak-ah?"

"I’m not sure if I’m just being paranoid, but I think I was targeted..."

Baek Jeho knitted his eyebrows. "I don’t understand."

"Jeho-ya, have you forgotten? It was Kim Minjae-ssi who handed my dicines that day," Cho Euntak reminded Baek Jeho nervously. "Uhm, do you think he tampered with my stabilizers..."

He trailed off when Baek Jeho’s face darkened.

Oh.

He’s mad mad.

"No, forget it," Cho Euntak said while shaking his head and clinging to Baek Jeho. He felt the need to hold onto his boyfriend. After all, he had a feeling that he would raise hell if he let him go now. "I was probably overthinking. Why would Kim Minaje-ssi tamper with my ds? He’s a pharmacist. He knows performing dical malpractice could have his license revoked."

Baek Jeho took a deep breath, and then he nodded. "Alright— let’s wait for the result of the initial investigation first."

AND A WEEK LATER...

"The pharmaceutical company, as well as the people we sent to check the process, have confird that all the pheromone stabilizers under the sa batch as the one Cho Euntak had bought, are normal stabilizer pills. None of them has illegal drugs mixed."

Cho Euntak flinched after hearing that.

He was still in the hospital— because he had started with his treatnt to fix his pheromones and bring them back to normal— when Dr. Seong Kyungmin dropped the bad news.

Of course, Baek Jeho was next to him.

"The possibility that you were targeted and that soone tampered with your ds is high," Dr. Seong Kyungmin said. "You have a suspect in mind, right?"

Before Cho Euntak could answer the doctor...

"I’m going to kill that bastard," Baek Jeho said in a low, chilling voice. "How dare him put your life in danger?"

"Yah. Calm down, Baek Jeho," Cho Euntak said, grabbing Baek Jeho’s arm to make sure that he wouldn’t bolt out of the room to confront Kim Minjae. He had barely stopped his boyfriend from doing that while waiting for the result of the investigation. But now that the result was out, he doubted if he could stop Baek Jeho from going berserk for too long. "We need proof that Kim Minjae-ssi tampered with my ds first."

Baek Jeho’s jaw clenched tightly. "I’ll make that bastard confess— one way or another."

Chills.

Cho Euntak could only gulp nervously.

I need to stop Baek Jeho from committing murder...!
