SOHEE noticed that the beer Ho Changmin handed to him tasted a bit strange.
Hence, he just pretended to drink it.
He was naturally suspicious of people he didn’t know that well since he had bad experiences in so of his previous part-ti jobs. There were a few custors who tried to drug his drink when he was working as a bartender before, and a few who tried to spike his drink when he was at a dinner party.
So, of course, he would be wary of a stranger offering him a drink.
But I got curious, so I still accepted the drink Ho Changmin offered.
When Sohee was sure that the beer was tampered with, he pretended to fall asleep while Ho Changmin was in the bathroom.
He got suspicious when the kid stayed in the bathroom for that long.
It was as if Ho Changmin was waiting for sothing— like for the drug to take effect.
Hence, Sohee pretended to have fallen asleep.
Lo and behold, Ho Changmin showed his true color then.
As expected, that kid is after my earring.
"Hyung!"
When Sohee stepped out of the apartnt, Yang Jaewon greeted him with a worried look on his face.
The kid also turned pale when he saw Sohee’s bleeding ear.
"We should go to the hospital, Hyung," Yang Jaewon said worriedly. "Your ear might get infected."
"Nah, I’ll be fine. I already poured alcohol on the wound," Sohee assured the kid. "We have to chase Ho Changmin."
"We find it suspicious that Ho Changmin left the apartnt alone in a hurry, so Kwon Gaon followed him," Yang Jaewon explained. "It’s a good thing that Kim Heedo asked us to keep an eye on you in secret."
Yep.
When Kim Heedo said there were bodyguards next door, he actually ant Yang Jaewon and Kwon Gaon.
Because those two Alphas are enough.
After they took a group picture at Kim Heedo’s apartnt, Yang Jaewon and Kwon Gaon pretended they were going sowhere else. But the two just actually went to hide in the sa building as Kim Heedo’s fancy penthouse.
"Hyung, did that bastard steal your wedding earring?"
’Wedding earring.’
It was a funny term, but how else would they call Sohee’s matching earring with Kim Heedo?
"Yes, he stole my earring. But it’s fine."
"How is it fine, Hyung?" Yang Jaewon asked, frowning. "I know that your marriage with Heedo isn’t real, but that thief still stole sothing that belonged to you."
"It’s fake."
"Huh?"
"The earring that bastard stole is fake," Sohee said, grinning. He then pulled out a small velvet box from the inner pocket of his jacket. Then he opened it and showed Yang Jaewon the real diamond stud earring. "This is the real one."
Yang Jaewon looked surprised and amazed. "Hyung, how did you predict that Ho Changmin would steal your earring?"
And that was when Sohee rembered his recent eting with Shaman Jung...
"Jung-nim, can I ask you a favor? I have a plan."
"What is it?"
"The culprit tried to steal my earring. I have a feeling that they’ll try to steal it again."
"That makes sense. Moreover, I saw in my vision that your earring got corrupted by so bad energy."
"And that’s why you ca here to et and purify my earring, right?"
"That’s correct."
"Then let’s pick an earring that looks similar to my earring, then put a little bit of your blessing in there. I’m going to use it as bait."
"I understand using a fake earring as bait. But why do we need to put my blessing in a dupe?" Shaman Jung asked curiously. "The culprit wouldn’t know anyway if your earring had a shaman’s blessing or not."
It was more of a gut feeling for Sohee.

"Because we need luck for my plan to succeed, sir."

"FYI, I don’t trust you yet," Kim Heedo said while glaring at Lim Jinwook. "I’m only doing this because I don’t want to put Sohee Hyung’s life in danger."
And that was why their group was headed back to Heedo’s penthouse.
By ’group,’ he ant Shin Kang (who was driving the car at the mont), Hong Sera (seated on the passenger seat), and Han Raehyun (sitting in the backseat with Heedo and Lim Jinwook, with Lim Jinwook seated between Heedo and Han Raehyun).
"You already put your husband’s life in danger when you left him alone with Ho Changmin," Lim Jinwook said, scoffing. "And why are you talking down to ? I’m a year older than you, punk. Don’t call ’hyung’ because I don’t want a dongsaeng like you, but at least call ’sunbae’ since we attend the sa university."
"If you want to treat you like a sunbae, then act like one," Heedo said, scoffing. "You’re the one who attacked Sohee Hyung, as seen in the CCTV footage. We have proof of that, but you don’t have proof that Ho Changmin is a threat..."
He trailed off when he got a call from Yang Jaewon.
It must be an important call, so he picked it up right away.
"What?!" Heedo asked, making everyone turn to him— except for Shin Kang whose eyes were glued to the road, of course. "How’s Hyung?"
"Did you bring Sohee Hyung to the hospital?!"
"Yang Jaewon, no matter what Sohee Hyung says, just bring him to the hospital first."
"That adrenaline junkie, really..." Heedo trailed off, and then he took a deep breath first before he got a heart attack from being too upset. "Why are you chasing Ho Changmin? You could have easily arrested that bastard. Didn’t Kwon Gaon bring his family’s elite security team with you?"
Why would Ho Changmin steal Park Sohee’s earring?
Now even Heedo was curious.

SOHEE scoffed while listening to Yang Jaewon snitch on him to Kim Heedo.
Right now, he was in the passenger seat while Yang Jaewon was driving the car— and the kid was using earless buds to talk to Kim Heedo on the phone.
Heedo-ya, you have loyal friends.
Anyway, Sohee was busy keeping an eye on the taxi in front of them.
Then the taxi stopped in front of a sketchy building.
Ho Changmin stepped out of the taxi, and then he entered the said sketchy building in a hurry.
Hmm?
That building...
"’House of the Heavenly Lucky Star?’" Sohee read the signage of the building, knitting his eyebrows. "Sounds like a cult to ."
