THE DINNER party started great.

Sohee was a bit shy at first since he and Kim Heedo were the stars of the party.

I didn’t know this many people would attend...

Aside from their classmates, Sohee invited the Webtoon Reading Club mbers while Kim Heedo invited the Student Council mbers. Sunbaes and hoobaes of each of their departnts who wanted to co were also welcod.

The two floors would surely be full later.

But, for now, everyone was on the first floor.

Sohee and Kim Heedo had an announcent to make, so the two of them were standing on a makeshift stage that the restaurant staff created for them. The makeshift stage even had a flower arch, completed with an aesthetically pleasing backdrop.

It’s like we’re newlyweds... oh, we are.

"Friends, sunbae-nims, hoobae-nims, thank you for accepting our invitation," Kim Heedo said politely. And, yes, the restaurant even provided microphones for them. "As we said in the ssage that we sent you, we invited you here because Sohee Hyung and I wanted to apologize to you properly. We’re sorry for missing the second day of the festival. Because of that, our respective classes had to share the burden of the duties we failed to fulfill that day."

A chorus of "It’s alright" and "We understand" erupted from the crowd.

Aww.

"We really bad for what happened," Sohee said. And, yes, he was being sincere. "I know that a simple but genuine apology would have sufficed. Please don’t think that we’re trying to buy your forgiveness with this dinner. We simply wanted to celebrate the success of the university festival. Everyone, thank you for working hard."

That night, Sohee learned how to socialize with his peers by watching Kim Heedo.

The two of them were inseparable that night— greeting everyone, joining each table for a while to make sure the guests were having a good ti.

Most of all, Kim Heedo didn’t fail to introduce Sohee as his husband.

That may or may not have made him feel giddy.

Anyway, I did the sa— I introduced Kim Heedo to my acquaintances as my husband.

Unfortunately, the beautiful night ended when the third-rate villains arrived.

"SOHEE Hyung, I’ll just have a smoke break with the boys."

"Sure," Sohee said, nodding. "Have fun."

Kim Heedo leaned in his ear and whispered: "Don’t drink too much, Hyung."

Sohee just waved his hand dismissively.

I’m not going to drive, so why do I need to hold back drinking? We have bulgogi here, and it matches the expensive beer~

The delicious bulgogi and the expensive beer there made that restaurant famous.

Kim Heedo ruffled Sohee’s hair affectionately before standing up and leaving with Yang Jaewon, Kwon Gaon, and Han Raehyun (who kissed Hong Sera on the forehead first before following the three).

Those three are really best friends.

Sohee was about to sip his beer when he noticed everyone at the table was looking at him.

What?

By "everyone," he ant Hong Sera, Cho Euntak, Woo Yuri (the Webtoon Reading Club President), and Doh Allen (the Webtoon Reading Club Vice President).

To be fair, it seed like most people were looking at him.

Kim Heedo isn’t here anymore, so this is awkward.

"You know, when I heard that Kim Heedo— the idol of the Business Administration— is already married, I didn’t believe it," Woo Yuri said, smiling. "I an, Kim Heedo is polite. But he’s a bit distant to other people aside from his usual clique."

Oh.

So, Kim Heedo has that kind of image.

"I know, right?" Doh Allen agreed with the club president. "This is the first ti I’ve seen Kim Heedo act like a puppy around soone."

Hmm?

Kim Heedo acted like a puppy?

Well, it’s true that Kim Heedo kept following around.

Sohee turned to Hong Sera— the only person there who knew that his marriage to Kim Heedo was only a contract marriage— and silently asked for her help.

I an, I don’t know what to say for so reason.

"Heedo-ya really treasures Sohee Oppa," Hong Sera said, smiling brightly. "And they look good together."

Aigoo.

Hong Sera sounds sincere even though she knows the truth.

"Heedo Sunbae-nim is very protective of Sohee Hyung, too," Cho Euntak said, and the fear in his voice was clear. "And he scares . He sees as a threat even though I an no harm to Sohee Hyung."

Everyone who heard Cho Euntak laughed softly.

After all, their society had already normalized Alphas’ possessiveness towards their partners.

I’m not saying it’s right, but it is what it is.

Haaah.

"I’m sorry about that, Euntak-ah," Sohee said, smiling while shaking his head. "Heedo is just so obsessed with for a reason."

Of course, he just ant it as a joke.

But his joke fell into the ears of the wrong person.

"Is that why you married Kim Heedo?"

Everyone suddenly fell silent when a stranger sat down beside Sohee— taking the chair that Kim Heedo just vacated a mont ago.

Handso in a brooding way, sharp features, strong pheromones.

Not all handso n have charisma, just like this one.

Sohee could already tell who this prick was.

This person must be Choi Namgyu— Kim Heedo’s bully.

I want to give this bastard the benefit of the doubt, but he’s literally trying to cover in his pheromones even though he knows I already have an Alpha.

Fortunately, Sohee was a Dominant Oga.

Hence, Choi Namgyu’s pheromones didn’t affect him.

Anyway...

Hong Sera and Woo Yuri were both Beta, so the two ladies were unaware that Choi Namgyu was already starting trouble. On the other hand, the two Alphas— Cho Euntak and Doh Allen— looked uncomfortable.

No, actually, they look pissed.

So are the other Alphas and Ogas here.

"Choi Namgyu, what do you think you’re doing?" Doh Allen confronted the rude prick. The Webtoon Reading Club Vice President was smiling, but his eyes were cold. "You’ve just arrived, and yet you’re already drunk."

Yeah, that was true.

This Choi Namgyu bastard reeks of alcohol.

Sohee rembered that Choi Namgyu had two minions with him all the ti, but it looked like the two minions didn’t accompany the bully this ti.

Did he forget to bring his minions because he’s drunk?

"What’s your problem, nerd?" Choi Namgyu retorted, scoffing at Doh Allen. And then the bully turned to Sohee, smirking. It was clear that this prick was already pissed drunk. "Park Sohee, right? I’m Choi Namgyu."

Why is this bastard talking down to ?

Sohee flashed a polite smile, but he spoke informally to Choi Namgyu even though it was their first eting. "It’s nice to et you, Namgyu-ya."

As expected, Choi Namgyu’s arrogant smirk instantly disappeared. "Why are you talking informally to ? I heard we were born in the sa year, but I’m months older than you. Moreover, I’m your sunbae."

"You’re the one who talked down to first," Sohee reminded the prick, still talking informally. "We’re the sa age, so what’s wrong with speaking like friends? But if you really want us to talk formally, then do it first."

Choi Namgyu looked pissed at first, but only for a mont. "Fine. Let’s be friends," the prick said, smiling while a glint of mischief sparkled in his eyes. "Since we’re friends, be honest with , Sohee-ya. You only married Kim Heedo for his money, right?"

Aigoo.

Kim Heedo was right when he told that this prick has an inferiority complex towards him. Choi Namgyu probably wants to find fault in Kim Heedo’s married life to make him feel better about himself.

And it looked like Choi Namgyu’s plan to start a rumor about Kim Heedo’s "unhappy" married life was working.

After all, Sohee noticed that the entire hall suddenly fell silent.

Obviously, most people were waiting for his answer.

They probably can’t help but eavesdrop since this bastard’s voice is too loud.

It was a frustrating situation, but Sohee was enjoying the mont.

Since I no longer worry about money, this kind of problem feels like a first-world problem to — and I find it fun.

Hence, he decided to make the situation more entertaining for their "audience."

"Yes, one of the main reasons I married Kim Heedo is because he’s rich— he knows that and he’s fine with being a good provider," Sohee said bluntly, shocking the "audience" since he heard a collective gasp from them. "But, for real, who would want to marry a man who couldn’t provide for you and your future family?"
