Lu Yuan cut right to the chase.
"Mom, co live with us. Don’t stay here anymore."
Su Liyan’s mother started to say sothing, but Lu Yuan cut her off.
"I know why you don’t want to co. Liyan told all about it.
There’s nothing wrong with it, and no one in our family will look down on you for it."
Song iqin, who was standing to the side, imdiately chid in to support him.
Lu Yuan didn’t give his mother-in-law any more ti to object. As soon as he finished speaking, he called people in to help pack her things.
Lu Yuan’s mother-in-law was stunned for a few seconds before a resigned smile appeared on her face.

"I already said it’s not a problem. What’s the big deal? You have to keep chanting. You can’t just stop. It’s not a bad thing, so what’s the issue?! You absolutely have to keep doing it!"
Seeing her son-in-law acting this way, Su Liyan’s mother couldn’t help but laugh, a hint of fondness in her chiding tone.

And so, the matter was settled and everything was arranged.
That evening, Lu Yuan would co from the west side of the city to pick up Song iqin and his in-laws and take them ho.
After saying this, Lu Yuan didn’t leave right away.
He stayed in the backyard and started brewing Aunt Song’s dicine.
They had all the necessary equipnt here.
He would wait for Aunt Song to finish her dicine before he left.

While the dicine was brewing, Lu Yuan’s mother-in-law squatted beside him, fanning the flas and asking with curiosity.
Lu Yuan didn’t say much, only replying:
"She’s not feeling well. This is to help her recuperate. Mom, you don’t need to stay here and watch. I can handle this. You should go and pack your things. Don’t worry about helping here. I’ll have soone show you and Dad around the place."
Hearing this, his mother-in-law glanced at Song iqin, who was standing nearby lost in thought, and nodded without asking any more questions.
Soon, the dicine was ready.
As Lu Yuan poured the dicine from the pot into a bowl, he said:
"This stuff is really bitter. Don’t go spitting it out."
Song iqin gave him a playful glare.
"Do you think I’m a child? I’ll drink it no matter how bitter it is!"
With that, Song iqin reached for the bowl.
Seeing her impatience, Lu Yuan looked exasperated.
"Hold on, it’s still scalding hot."
Song iqin pressed her lips together, blinking her beautiful eyes at Lu Yuan.
"Will I be all better after drinking this?"
Lu Yuan gave a slight shrug.
"It’s not that fast. Let’s just say that before, you had zero chance. But after drinking this, you’ll at least have a chance of conceiving. In about half a year, your body should be back to normal."
Hearing Lu Yuan’s explanation, Song iqin nodded earnestly.
Then, she seed to think of sothing else.
She glanced around the courtyard, confirming it was just the two of them.
Then, Song iqin leaned close to Lu Yuan’s ear and whispered:
"Does that an... the past month or so was all a waste?"
Lu Yuan nodded while blowing on the hot dicine to cool it.
"You could say that."
Hearing this, Song iqin pursed her lips in disappointnt.
She didn’t say anything more, though.
But a mont later, she seed to think of sothing else, and her eyes lit up as she looked at Lu Yuan.
Seeing that look in Aunt Song’s eyes, Lu Yuan couldn’t help but shiver.
"Aunt Song?? What’s with that look?"

「Three nights later.」
Lu Yuan stood hesitating before the south room.
"Aunt Song... can we just take one night off...? I... I don’t think I can take it anymore."
From inside, Song iqin’s incredibly alluring voice called out:
