As Lu Yuan burned a Daoist Talisman to locate the Xingzi, Song iqin—already mounted on her horse—stared down at the motionless man below. Gritting her teeth, she demanded:
"Let’s go!!
What are you standing around for?!"
Lu Yuan, however, stated flatly:
"You ride the horse back by yourself. That revenant isn’t dead yet. I have to go hunt it down."
With that said, Lu Yuan turned to head off in another direction.
The way forward was nothing but narrow mountain trails, impossible for a horse to navigate, so he had no choice but to leave it behind.
But Song iqin panicked when she heard this and imdiately cried out:
"Why are you chasing it?!
Didn’t you already slash that revenant with your sword? Its power is almost gone.
Just wait until daybreak! That Xingzi will be even more finished. Then you can just send n to search the mountain, can’t you?!"
She had a point, but Lu Yuan worried that any delay could lead to unexpected trouble.
The main thing was, he wasn’t far from the revenant.

"Go back! Don’t follow !"
Song iqin didn’t say a word, just kept walking toward Lu Yuan.
After a half-second pause, Lu Yuan raised an eyebrow.
"What?
Are you scared?
Don’t be. There’s a ghost-repelling charm on my horse."
Song iqin froze for a mont, then imdiately looked up, gritted her teeth, and retorted:
"What do I have to be afraid of?!
I don’t know the way back! How am I supposed to know where we’ve run off to?"
Lu Yuan scoffed.
"You don’t know, but the horse does. Just get on and let it take you back.
Besides, plenty of people saw the direction we ca from. They’re probably already looking for you over here."
Song iqin didn’t argue further. She just looked up and glared at Lu Yuan.
"Then just get going!!
Why are you talking so much nonsense?!"
Lu Yuan froze, then scoffed. He couldn’t be bothered with Song iqin anymore and simply turned and walked away.
The two of them walked quickly like this for several minutes.
Neither said a word.
Lu Yuan strode briskly ahead, while Song iqin, her face a mask of pain, gritted her teeth and limped quickly behind him.
But the distance between them grew wider and wider.
Finally, Song iqin couldn’t stand it any longer. Looking at Lu Yuan’s back, she snarled through gritted teeth:
"Would it kill you to wait for ?!"
’Lu Yuan was getting annoyed, too. This woman was so slow.’
’If I had run on my own, I could have found the revenant in ten or fifteen minutes.’
’But dragging this dead weight along, won’t it take more than an hour at this pace?’

Lu Yuan’s tirade seed to be the final straw, completely shattering Song iqin’s composure.
Song iqin, who had worn a proud and arrogant expression just monts before.
She stood frozen, staring up at Lu Yuan on the slope for a few seconds.
Then, streams of clear tears began to pour down her face.

Why are you all always bullying ...?"
Song iqin’s voice was no longer proud, but pitiful and full of grievance.
Lu Yuan, however, just stood there, completely bewildered.

But Song iqin seed to have completely broken down. She sat slumped on the ground, sobbing her heart out, and said with imnse self-pity:

The more Song iqin spoke, the more pitiful she sounded, and the louder her sobs beca.
