She put the bone knife into the animal skin clothing’s only pocket. Supporting Mr. Gray Wolf by his arm, she tried to pull him up, but he was too heavy. As someone that was lacking in energy from not having eaten enough, she didn’t have the strength to move him.
Ruan Qiuqiu tried several times, but she couldn’t pull him up, especially when she was using her other hand to hold the torch to illuminate their surroundings.
She was about to shamefully cry again.
Although they weren’t too far away from the cave, they were no longer by the edge of the forest. It would be really dangerous if Mr. Gray Wolf’s blood attracted predators.

Bright red blood dripped down from the corners of his mouth. The blood stained the clothes she had made for him and fell onto the snow.
He half-opened his eyes. He inexplicably chuckled and revealed sharp fangs. His voice was raspy and full of loneliness, “… I’m so ugly.”
Ruan Qiuqiu: “…” Was this wolf thinking clearly?
However, there was a pang in her heart. Mr. Gray Wolf was so handsome before. It was normal for him to feel a gap in his heart now that he had bee like this.
While raising her arm, she softened her voice and sincerely said, “You’re not ugly at all.”
She thought it would be easier to get along with Mr. Gray Wolf since he was a bit muddle-headed right now, and he might be consoled if he heard those words.
However, the wolf demon, who had been cooperatively standing up with her help, only coldly laughed. His laughter was brimming with sarcasm as if he could see through the sheer deception and the hypocrisy of the world from her “You’re not ugly at all.”
Ruan Qiuqiu could only sigh. She smiled again.
“I’m telling the truth. Believe me.” Ruan Qiuqiu was supporting Mr. Gray Wolf with her right arm while holding up the torch that was about to go out with her left hand. Step by step, with one person walking heavily and one person walking lightly, they headed back to their cave.
“When I saw you at first, I was scared. But later on, I didn’t think you were ugly…”
Maybe it was because the howling cold wind seemed to be hiding various dangers, or perhaps, it was because Mr. Gray Wolf had stayed silent after saying those fragment words, Ruan Qiuqiu’s nerves were stretched taut.
She kept talking and said many words. Even when her toes stepped on sharp pebbles, and her arms felt extremely sore, she didn’t dare to stop.
She was very scared that Mr. Gray Wolf had already pletely passed out and that he was only cooperatively moving forward with her because of reflexive mechanical movements, so she didn’t dare to stop.
She was scared that once she stopped, she wouldn’t be able to continue moving forward again.
