*Creak*
The metals gates opened, and then figures with horses started galloping towards three unknown individuals.
Aether went into his fighting stance, but then Abyss waved his hand and said, ''Let me handle this.''
Aether and Ichiro stepped aside and watched as the horses started getting closer with each passing second.
One of the figures unsheathed his sword from the scabbard and prepared to unleash his fury.
''Dragon of Lightning. Give me your power!'' Abyss roared, and a bolt of massive lightning around 1km in length crushed on his figure, but he didn't look pained, instead powerful, like a god has ascended to the world.
The individuals on top of the horses leaped into the air, and half of them unleashed a rain of arrows, while the other half swung their swords, which sent a powerful wave of sword energy flying straight towards Abyss.
Aether covered his face and was almost sent flying because the sword waves emitted a terrifying strength.
Even Ichiro had difficulties staying standing but managed to do it barely.
''Dragon of Lightning. Powerful fist of Sanctuary!'' Abyss' fist cracked in lightning as he sent a powerful straight punch.
*BOOM!*
*CRACK!*
A powerful blast of lightning destroyed the arrows to smithereens and sent the individuals holding swords flying.
''Grah!'' Only one person managed to evade the punch, and he was currently standing only 2 meters away from Abyss.
Abyss' eyes were pure blue, made of pure lightning, and slowly, two lightning bolts appeared on his hands.
''Hmph!'' The person snorted and went into a slashing stance, ''Battle Style, First move of Slashing!'' His muscles bulged, and he did a somewhat simple-looking slash, but Abyss didn't underestimate him; instead, he put the two lightning bolts in the way, which clashed with the ordinary-looking sword.
*BOOM!*
The lightning cracked and made the surrounding environment lose its beauty; while the person who was holding a sword didn't seem to be hurt, instead he managed to hold his ground, and it seemed like he was pushing Abyss slightly back!
Aether and Ichiro looked shocked, but then the wind pressure of their attacks sent both of them flying.
''Lightning Style, Supreme Fist of Heavens!'' Abyss' lightning-quick fist collided with the sword, which caused the person's arms to start bulging like they were about to be exploded and soon his face started turning red until he couldn't keep it going anymore and was sent flying towards the massive stone walls on the distance.
But, before he could hit the walls, a person appeared from the stone wall and caught him. The person put him down gently and looked towards Abyss with his yellow eyes shining like beautiful gems.
The new person had short blond hair with golden robes with a shade of red on the sides. His yellow eyes looked calm, without any sign of anger or fear.
He put his hand on his sword's hilt and slowly unsheathed it from the scabbard, which caused a melodic sound to appear like the sword was happy to be able to see the world once again.
Abyss' face turned serious, and he saw around ten men surrounding him, with all of them wearing golden robes.
The man with blond hair also appeared to surround him, and Abyss knew instantly that he was the strongest one.
''Lightning Style!'' Abyss quickly went into his fighting stance with his left leg being in front and his right leg behind with his left arm stretched forwards, and his right arm touching his waist.
The men instantly bursted into motion and unleashed a rain of sword strikes.
''Lightning Dragon's Cry of Battle!'' In Abyss' mouth, a crackling of lightning was heard until his whole interior of mouth was filled with lightning bolts, reaching all the way to his throat.
''KRAAAAAAAAAH!'' He shouted, which caused a blast of terrifying lightning strikes to leave his mouth.
His mouth was stretched wide open, and only a bright flash of lightning was visible, while the surrounding environment was painted in bluish colors.
He slowly closed his mouth, which caused the blast of lightning to disappear.
Once the dust cloud settled, Aether and Ichiro gasped in shock after they landed 500 meters away, but they could clearly feel the aftermath of the terrifying battle, and they could easily see what was happening.
And they were shocked to see all ten figures being covered in some kind of golden shield!
Abyss looked towards the man with blond hair who was gently smiling with his whole body glowing on a golden hue.
''Reverend Abyss, you have grown.'' The blond-haired man said and snapped his fingers.
*Snap*
*Pop*
The shields popped and disappeared.
The men sheathed their swords and gave a polite bow towards Abyss, and rushed back to the residence at the top of the hill.
Abyss sighed and gave a small bow, ''Grandmaster Fang.''
The blond-haired man, also known as Fang, smiled and looked towards the distance with two young-looking individuals, ''Your sons?''
''The other one, yes, while that black-haired dude is a person who stole my daughter.'' Abyss pointed at Ichiro and grimaced at the sight of him.
Fang gave a slight chuckle, ''Ah, young Azura is already at that age, huh…'' He looked nostalgic as he continued, ''She used to be very cute and innocent, how time flies.''
''Grandmaster, can you teach them a thing a two? No need to go easy.'' Abyss asked while a sadistic look appeared on his face.
Fang rubbed his chin and replied, ''Sure… I can teach them a thing or two.''
''Thank you.'' Abyss bowed and waved towards Aether and Ichiro.
Aether and Ichiro ran towards them and soon appeared. They looked confused because only moments ago, they were witnessing a battle of life and death.
''This is Grandmaster Fang; please be respectful to him.'' Abyss introduced him, while Fang gave a small smile and nodded.
Abyss patted Aether's shoulder, which earned him a groan of pain from his son, ''This is Aether, weak as fuck, and this…'' He looked at Ichiro and spat on the ground, ''Ichiro, a thief!''
''Nice to meet you.'' Ichiro gave a polite bow. He was aware that not everyone could earn the title of Grandmaster.
Grandmaster is reserved for people who have changed the world and is one of the strongest powerhouses.
Even Abyss isn't classified as Grandmaster because there are another criteria for that rank.
And that is to spread his knowledge of his Martial Arts, which Abyss hasn't done yet, but Fang has, and coupled with his immense strength, he received Grandmaster title.
