Now reading: Chapter 155: Poisoned from Martial Era: Starting With The Strongest Talent, a Fantasy novel by Rascalsdream.

The poison slash tore toward Adam, corroding the asphalt as it advanced.

Adam didn’t waste ti as he reacted instantly.

"Bone Generation: D."

Multiple dense bone walls erupted in front of him, interlocking rib-like structures crisscrossing into layered barricades and when they ford fully the poison slash struck.

Boom!

The first wall shattered.

Then the second.

Then the third.

Each layer cracked apart under the corrosive force, splinters of bone scattering across the street.

But the attack weakened with every collision.

By the ti it reached Adam...

Its density had dropped.

He swung Judgent.

"Wind Carnage: Requiem."

The wind blade collided with the remaining poison slash and dispersed it entirely.

The street fell silent for half a breath.

Adam lifted his gaze toward the Hell-class Level One boss.

He’ll be a problem.

The elite and mob goblins surged forward again, using the distraction to close the distance.

The boss remained at the rear.

Watching and waiting to intercept any large-scale attack.

It wasn’t going to allow another mass wipe.

Adam’s eyes cooled.

He might not want to reveal everything in front of the shadow..

But he wasn’t limited to one move.

As the first Hell-class goblin reached him, Adam moved and with one swing he decapitated it cleanly.

Another lunged and he split it from shoulder to hip.

A third and it was pierced through the throat.

In seconds, over a dozen massive corpses crashed onto the street around him.

Then...

His Martial Spirit manifested fully behind him.

The atmosphere shifted violently.

The boss’s eyes narrowed at the back.

It raised its cleaver, preparing to counter.

But it would be disappointed.

Adam spoke under his breath.

"Wind Cyclone Rendering."

His Profound Spirit transford instantly into condensed wind that rotated and expanded at a rapid rate.

And in the next mont a colossal cyclone erupted around him, far larger than the one he ford during the battlent in Sector 418.

His increased star power fed it relentlessly and the building-sized goblins charging toward him faltered.

The air pressure crushed inward and the cyclone grew wider, denser and more violent.

At the back, the boss stiffened.

Sothing was wrong.

Then...

A giant skull ford within the swirling winds.

It opened its jaws and roared.

The sound tore through the battlefield and in the next mont hundreds of compressed wind blades launched outward from within the cyclone.

The cyclone howled.

From within it, hundreds of compressed wind blades launched outward in every direction.

They weren’t as devastating as Wind Carnage: Requiem, but they didn’t need to be.

Each blade tore through thick green flesh.

The Hell-class goblins fell in rapid succession.

Their brute durability ant nothing against sustained multi-directional assault.

The street beca a graveyard of giants.

At the back, the boss could only watch.

This wasn’t a single massive attack it could deflect and its kin were being erased.

With a furious roar, the goblin boss charged.

Wind blades struck it repeatedly, but it swung its cleaver with terrifying precision, reflecting each blade back toward the cyclone.

Poison coated the returning arcs, sizzling through the air.

More blades erged from the cyclone and intercepted the poisoned returns, dispersing them midair.

The boss pushed through regardless.

Step by step.

Until it was close enough.

It raised its cleaver and brought it down toward the heart of the cyclone.

But before the blade connected...

The cyclone vanished and the cleaver struck empty air.

The boss’s montum carried it forward.

Mid-swing, leaving it open.

Adam stood below the towering mass, as his eyes shifted subtly from a golden sheen to its original green.

"Wind Carnage... Requiem."

A condensed wind slash ford instantly and compressed into an execution strike, detonating directly into the boss’s unguarded front.

BOOM!

The massive body launched backward violently, crashing through storefronts and concrete walls.

Buildings caved under the force.

Dust erupted into the sky.

But it didn’t end there.

The residual pressure vacuud the air from its lungs and its internal organs ruptured from the aftershock.

Before it could even attempt to rise...

It was dead.

Silence fell over District Seven, as Adam rolled his neck once.

Crack!

He then turned his gaze toward the remaining Hell-class goblins’ Judgent resting loosely in his hand.

And for the first ti they hesitated.

And before they could react, they were cut down.

One by one.

Then all at once, as the battlefield emptied.

Far above....

Hidden in plain sight within the sky itself.

The shadow watched, its formless body trembling faintly from excitent, as It spoke into the void.

"He is perfect."

****

After killing the last Hell-class goblin, Adam turned his attention back to the rift, as it still churned.

But Adam didn’t relax, instead he raised his hand.

"Bone Generation: D."

Spears began forming around him.

One.

Ten.

Fifty.

Hundreds.

They grew from the asphalt, from the walls, from thin air, long, razor-sharp bone lances suspended midair and all aid directly at the mouth of the rift.

It took ti.

But Adam calculated the pattern from before.

First was unranked, then normal, abnormal and hell, the next wave, should be Abyssal.

And based on the previous boss encounter, multiple attacks were the optimal solution.

The Hell-class boss had a star power of 33.

Adam surpassed that comfortably.

But because he wasn’t going all out, the creature had started to believe it was a threat.

He wouldn’t allow that again.

The bone spears finished forming and a forest of death pointed at the rift.

The mont the next batch stepped out, they would be impaled instantly.

This thod would save essence, since he had already spamd multiple high-output martial techniques.

This approach was optimal since it consud nothing at all except ti.

And it also functioned like a wide-scale area suppression.

Simply put it was efficient.

So Adam waited, as the rift churned.

Then...

Nothing.

No monster stepped through and seconds passed.

But then...

A strange sensation crawled up Adam’s throat, his stomach twisted violently, his vision blurred and he staggered slightly.

"What—"

Blood surged up his throat as dark red splattered across the street.

Adam’s pupils contracted.

Poison?
