"However, I don’t know where the other two Mother Boxes are."
Cyborg’s voice was heavy as he added this final point.
Batman, the Flash, and the others already knew that Cyborg had been transford by the Mother Box’s power, so none of them found this surprising.
No one raised any objections.
"We need to know where the enemy is before we can launch an attack."
Aquaman crossed his arms and spoke coldly.
"Even if we knew," Wonder Woman Diana swept her gaze over everyone present, "there isn’t any being stronger than Steppenwolf among us. No... maybe there is—but it’s definitely not one of us."
"The Holander. Superman."
The Flash chid in from the side.
None of the Justice League mbers objected.
This was already the mainstream consensus.
Superman was a god among n.
And the Holander—
Was an existence that stood above a god among n.
Although the Holander didn’t constantly appear around the globe like Superman, rushing to every disaster and maintaining constant visibility—
He would surface only occasionally, then vanish for long stretches of ti.
Even so,
Those few appearances were all shockingly impressive.
Defeating General Zod.
Defeating Nuclear Man.
And not long ago, defeating that terrifying Kryptonian monster.
Every ti he acted, he demonstrated power that clearly surpassed Superman’s.
"But now, Superman has disappeared."
Cyborg added quietly, causing everyone’s hearts to sink slightly.
Although no one said it outright, almost all of them had subconsciously regarded Superman as their first choice for help.
Especially Batman, Wonder Woman, and the Flash—who had all dealt with Alex personally.
They had seen the Holander’s "true face."
So had even been beaten by him.
They knew very well that Alex was not soone who enjoyed helping others out of pure goodwill.
Even Cyborg, who hadn’t t Alex before, had heard plenty about what he’d done in Gotham.
Compared to the Holander, the kind and powerful Superman was obviously far more reassuring.
But unfortunately—
Superman had vanished.
At the worst possible ti.
"So we don’t have any other choice," Wonder Woman stated the harsh reality everyone was facing.
"As for the Holander... he should be more reliable, right?" the Flash added weakly.
"That is, if he’s willing to help us."
"That’s the real problem," Aquaman nodded in agreent.
"If Superman were here, he’d never stand by and do nothing."
"But the Holander... that’s hard to say."
Aquaman had also dealt with Alex before—strictly speaking, Alex had even helped him once.
But that didn’t make Aquaman a blind supporter.
On the contrary, that very encounter had made Aquaman realize clearly:
Alex was not soone who helped without a purpose.
His actions always had motives.
"We can only try," Batman concluded.
"As long as the Holander hasn’t mysteriously disappeared too, this is our only plan. The question is—who’s going to find him?"
As soon as those words fell, everyone looked at each other.
The atmosphere beca slightly awkward.
Instinctively, no one wanted to go and ask the Holander for help.
Batman didn’t need to be ntioned—he’d been beaten by Alex more than once.
The Flash as well—he’d suffered at Alex’s hands too.
Wonder Woman had it even worse.
She’d been beaten repeatedly, had several divine artifacts stolen from her, and her ho—Themyscira—had practically been looted clean.
Only Cyborg, who hadn’t t Alex before, and Aquaman were in slightly better positions.
"Arthur," Wonder Woman turned her gaze to Aquaman,
"you know the Holander, don’t you? So..."
"What are those looks?" Aquaman swept his eyes over Diana and the others.
"Don’t tell the Holander beat you guys up?"
The corners of several mouths twitched subtly.
They exchanged glances and, with remarkable tacit understanding, said nothing.
Especially Batman and Wonder Woman.
They both had history with Alex back in Gotham—and knew all too well how "unspeakable" that past was.
"That’s not ’beating soone up,’ you know."
"That’s called friendly sparring and交流."
At that mont, a calm, slightly teasing voice suddenly rang out.
"Who’s there?!"
The Justice League mbers’ expressions changed instantly, all of them startled.
They turned their heads at the sa ti—
And saw a very familiar figure standing there.
The Holander.
"Holander!"
Batman blurted out the na, staring hard at Alex, unable to stay calm.
"How did you get in here?!"
This place was Batman’s secret base.
Its security was top-tier.
Yet now the Holander was standing right in front of them—and they hadn’t sensed a thing.
It was unbelievable.
What they didn’t know was that Alex had simply ridden his invisible board straight through the wall.
He hadn’t triggered a single security system.
Not even a cara had caught him.
It had to be said—this board was incredibly convenient at tis.
"I just flew in," Alex replied matter-of-factly.
"Then what is your purpose here, Holander?"
Wonder Woman stared at Alex intently, her voice low, tension and vigilance evident on her face.
She could never forget how Alex had looted Themyscira.
Was he here again—to take the Mother Box?
"Diana, why are you looking at like that?"
Alex glanced at her casually.
"You’re making look like so kind of bandit."
Diana: "..."
Aren’t you?
Not just Diana—Batman, the Flash, and Cyborg were all watching Alex warily.
The atmosphere in the room grew tense.
"If I really wanted the Mother Box," Alex said with a dismissive curl of his lips,
"do you think it would still be sitting there?"
As he spoke, he casually waved his hand toward the Mother Box.
Whoosh!
The Mother Box shot straight toward Alex.
At the sa ti, Alex released another overwhelming wave of telekinetic force, pinning the Justice League mbers in place.
They instantly felt as if a mountain had slamd down on them.
They couldn’t move. Couldn’t even struggle.
They were completely powerless to stop him.
They could only watch as Alex took the Mother Box.
Snap!
The next mont, the Mother Box was already in Alex’s hand.
The Justice League mbers stared at him, waves of shock crashing through their minds.
They’d always known the Holander was powerful—stronger than Superman.
But they’d never imagined he was this powerful.
One casual wave of his hand—
And all of them were suppressed at once.
The entire Justice League combined was as weak as ants before him.
"So, Holander,"
After a mont, Batman finally spoke again, staring straight at Alex.
"Are you here... for the Mother Box?"l
