"Golden Core Nebula: All Phenona United!"
The tal particles around Kevin suddenly surged with unprecedented activity. Centered on him, they ford a swirling tallic vortex. As Mort's fireballs collided with it, they were drawn into the whirlwind, rging seamlessly into its spinning mass.
"This is… what are you doing?" Mort exclaid, astonished to see his attacks absorbed by Kevin's tallic vortex.
Kevin did not imdiately answer. His entire focus was on controlling the vortex. As more fireballs were absorbed, the vortex's color began to shift from its original pure gold to a strange mix of gold and crimson, swirling in srizing patterns.
"I am… fusing," Kevin finally said, his voice hoarse from the enormous ntal strain, "I am attempting to rge your fire energy with my tal energy."
The spectators were stunned. The fusion of different elental energies was an extraordinarily advanced concept. Even universe-class masters rarely managed to achieve it flawlessly. And yet, Kevin was attempting it mid-battle, a feat demanding both audacity and unparalleled intelligence.
Mort's expression was a complex mix of shock, doubt, and unease. He was uncertain whether Kevin could succeed, but he knew that if he did, the consequences could be catastrophic.
The gold-and-crimson vortex spun faster and faster, energy fluctuations growing more intense. The arena's temperature surged, then dropped suddenly, and a strange aura filled the air sturdy as tal, yet scorching like fire.
"He's attempting sothing extrely dangerous," Rowen said, his expression unusually serious. "If the fusion of these two energies is not controlled properly, it could result in an energy backlash severe enough to harm Kevin himself."
"Then why would he take such a risk?" Thunder God asked, concern etched on his face.
"Because it might be his only chance to win," Rowen explained. "With Kevin's current energy reserves, defeating Mort in direct combat is nearly impossible. But if he successfully fuses the two energies, creating a completely new form of power, he might turn the tide."
In the arena, the spinning vortex began to stabilize, its energy fluctuations settling. Kevin's tense expression softened, and the glow of his Golden Core manifestation shone brightly once more.
"Did he succeed?" soone in the stands exclaid.
Indeed, Kevin appeared to have achieved control over the fused energy. The gold-and-crimson vortex gradually condensed, forming a fist-sized crystal that hovered above his palm. The crystal was half gold, half crimson, the two colors intertwined not as a simple blend, but in a pattern resembling the perfect harmony of a Taiji symbol.
"tal-Fire Fusion: Taiji Mystic Crystal."
Kevin quietly nad the newly ford energy crystal. Raising it above his head, he hurled it at Mort with a sharp, precise motion.
Mort imdiately recognized the crystal's potential and mobilized every ounce of his remaining energy to erect a defensive barrier of fire.
"True Fla: Eternal Shield!"
Yet, as the Taiji Mystic Crystal t the fiery barrier, a miraculous phenonon occurred. The crystal did not stop; it passed straight through, as if through air itself. Even more astonishingly, the shield seed to nourish it, amplifying the crystal's size and energy.
"This is impossible!" Mort shouted in disbelief, watching the crystal pierce his strongest defense and head straight for him.
At the critical mont, the crystal halted just a centiter from Mort's chest, suspended in the air and radiating dazzling gold-and-crimson light.
Kevin's voice echoed clearly through the arena: "If this crystal detonates, even your True Fla Manifestation will be utterly destroyed, and it may cause irreversible damage to your body itself. I suggest you surrender."
Mort stared at the crystal, feeling the terrifying energy within, and realized Kevin's warning was not empty. His fla manifestation was already destabilizing, his energy nearly depleted, and he no longer had the strength to continue.
"I… surrender," Mort gritted out, his eyes burning with reluctant admiration for Kevin.
"The victor is Kevin Cross!" The system's announcent resounded across the arena.
Thunderous applause and cheers erupted from the spectators. The battle had far exceeded everyone's expectations. Both young masters displayed skills and understanding of the laws that inspired awe. Kevin's successful fusion of elental laws beca the central topic of discussion among all present.
Kevin retrieved the Taiji Mystic Crystal, and his Golden Core manifestation dissipated. As the energies returned to his body, an overwhelming fatigue washed over him. His face turned pale, and his body trembled slightly.
The enormous consumption of energy and ntal strain left Kevin barely able to stand. Just as he was about to collapse, Mort stepped forward and supported him.
"Thank you," Kevin whispered weakly, his voice nearly inaudible.
"No need," Mort replied. "You won fairly. You are the true victor."
Supporting each other, the two walked toward the teleportation platform, where dics stood ready to assist the exhausted combatants.
Back in the preparation area, Rowen, Thunder God, and Hong were waiting. Seeing Kevin's weakened state, all three hurried to support him.
"You did remarkably well," Rowen praised, pride in his eyes. "Your attempt at law energy fusion was extraordinary."
Kevin forced a smile, but a wave of pain imdiately made him frown. The excessive use of law energy had taken a serious toll on his body, especially attempting the fusion of two fundantally different elental energies. It had been a trendous test of both mind and body.
"Forget the praise for now," Thunder God said, concern in his voice as he looked at Kevin's pale face. "He needs imdiate treatnt."
Hong rarely spoke, but when he did, his voice was calm yet resolute. "I'll call the doctors."
Soon, the virtual universe company's dical team arrived, placing both Kevin and Mort in dical pods. Mort's condition was relatively light, mostly energy exhaustion and minor burns, which could be treated quickly.
Kevin's condition, however, was more complex. Beyond severe energy depletion, the fusion had caused unusual physical strain. The lead dic, a senior doctor nad Irene, conducted a thorough examination, her expression turning serious.
"His case is unique," Irene explained to Rowen. "The injuries from law energy fusion are not ordinary wounds or simple exhaustion. They have affected his bodily systems at a deep level, especially his ridian network and law perception center."
"Does he require special treatnt?" Rowen asked anxiously.
Irene considered briefly. "Conventional energy restoration potions and treatnt pods will have limited effect. I recomnd using Elental Harmonizing Fluid and Law Resonance Therapy. These two thods are highly effective for correcting the disruptions caused by fused law energy."
Rowen nodded. "Do everything you can to help him."
"Of course," Irene said with a faint smile. "He is an extraordinarily gifted young man. His willingness to attempt law fusion is admirable. We will give our full effort."
Kevin was placed in a specialized treatnt pod. Unlike a standard pod, this one was filled with a pale blue liquid Elental Harmonizing Fluid designed to stabilize the chaotic energies within his body. Surrounding the pod were multiple Law Resonators, devices that emitted precise energy frequencies to resonate with Kevin's internal law energy, guiding it back to balanced flow.
Rowen, Thunder God, and Hong stayed vigilantly by the pod, watching Kevin closely. Though unconscious, his vital signs were stable, providing them so relief.
"He pushed himself too hard," Thunder God sighed. "Even universe-class masters rarely attempt law fusion like this."
"Exactly. It shows both his talent and courage," Rowen said calmly, admiration in his eyes. "Seeking breakthroughs in desperate situations is the hallmark of a true master."
Hong remained silent, but the concern and respect in his eyes were evident.
Irene periodically checked Kevin's condition, adjusting the treatnt paraters. About three hours later, she smiled with satisfaction.
"Progress is smooth," she inford the three. "His law energy is beginning to flow normally, and the damaged ridian system is repairing. At this rate, he should awaken in another five to six hours."
"That's a relief," Thunder God said, patting Hong on the shoulder. "Looks like we have nothing to worry about."
Rowen nodded. "Thank you for your help, Doctor Irene."
"It's my duty," she replied with a smile. "And treating such a gifted young man is an honor in itself."
For the next several hours, the three took turns keeping watch, closely monitoring Kevin's recovery. Thunder God occasionally shared amusing stories, seemingly hoping Kevin could hear even in his unconscious state. Rowen remained quietly contemplative, occasionally jotting notes about law fusion, intending to discuss them once Kevin awoke. Hong maintained his usual silence, though his watchful gaze conveyed concern.
Finally, six hours into treatnt, Kevin's eyelids twitched, indicating he was waking. Irene imdiately adjusted the pod, slowly draining the Elental Harmonizing Fluid and shutting down the Law Resonators.
As the liquid fully drained, the pod's door opened, and Kevin's eyes fluttered open. Though still fatigued, his ntal clarity had returned significantly.
"How long was I out?" Kevin's voice was hoarse, but most of his strength had returned.
"Six hours," Rowen replied, a hint of relief in his tone. "Your recovery was faster than expected."
Thunder God grinned. "This guy's vitality is always remarkable. I knew you'd be fine."
Kevin tried to sit up, noticing that the pain had lessened, though he still felt weak. Irene checked him over, nodding in approval.
"You're recovering well," she comnted. "However, your law energy hasn't fully stabilized. For the next twenty-four hours, refrain from using any abilities. Rest properly."
Kevin nodded. "Thank you for your treatnt, Doctor Irene."
Irene smiled and departed, leaving the four with so privacy.
"What about the Taiji Mystic Crystal?" Kevin suddenly asked, rembering the unique energy crystal he had created in the battle.
Rowen took a small box from his pocket and opened it, revealing the gold-and-crimson crystal, now stable and no longer radiating intense energy.
"I preserved it," Rowen explained. "It's a precious subject for research, helping us better understand law fusion chanisms."
Kevin held the crystal, studying its structure carefully. During the heat of battle, he hadn't had ti to contemplate its significance. Now, calm and reflective, he realized the seemingly accidental creation might carry profound aning.
"At the ti, I acted instinctively, trying to fuse Mort's fire energy with my tal energy," Kevin recalled. "I didn't expect it to succeed. This indicates that different laws can connect under certain conditions, allowing true fusion."
Rowen nodded solemnly. "This is a groundbreaking discovery. Laws are not entirely isolated; deeper connections exist. Understanding and mastering these connections could open a whole new path of cultivation."
Thunder God scratched his head, puzzled. "It sounds complicated. But if we can fuse different laws, does that an we could create entirely new abilities?"
"In theory, yes," Rowen explained. "In practice, it's extrely difficult. Kevin succeeded partly because of his deep understanding of the tal law, and partly because the extre circumstances and life-or-death pressure in battle allowed him to enter a unique state."
Kevin toyed with the crystal, thoughtful. "At that mont, I felt I could intuitively see the flow and interaction of the two laws. tal energy is stable and constructive, while fire energy is vibrant and dynamic. When combined in a specific way, they form a new energy type both stable and alive."
"That is the essence of the Taiji Mystic Crystal," Rowen agreed. "Yin and yang complenting and counteracting each other, yet existing in harmony. This understanding touches a higher level of law mastery."
Kevin suddenly rembered sothing. "By the way, while I was unconscious, how did your matches go?"
"Only your match was scheduled today," Thunder God explained. "Our matches are set for tomorrow."
"Good," Kevin exhaled in relief. "I thought I had missed yours."
