The terrain map shifted once more, revealing another location roughly eighty kiloters to the southeast. There, a massive rift carved through the land, its depth imasurable even from the projection.
"There… the earth's fire erupts. Ancient magma flows. For one who seeks the law of fire… it is the optimal place."
Monts later, the image changed again. This ti, it highlighted a peculiar structure in the western region, sothing that resembled a naturally ford tower rising from the ground.
"There… a place where knowledge has settled. Remnants of an ancient civilization remain. For seekers of truth… it holds the greatest value."
Rowan relayed everything to Shadow and Hong. The three of them exchanged glances, each unable to hide their astonishnt and excitent. This seemingly desolate planet concealed far more than they had imagined. It was a treasure trove of opportunity.
"We need to contact Thor," Rowan said. "He should know about the convergence point of lightning and fire."
Shadow nodded and imdiately opened a communication channel. To their relief, Thor responded quickly. The mont he heard about a more suitable place for training, he did not hesitate. He agreed to return to camp at once to regroup.
"So, what's the plan?" Hong asked. "These three locations are far apart. There's no way we can explore them all together."
Shadow paused, thinking carefully before answering.
"I suggest we split up. Thor will head to the convergence point of lightning and fire. Rowan, you go to the volcanic rift. Hong and I will investigate the ancient structure in the west. We regroup at the camp in three days, just in ti to establish communication with the Empire."
Both Rowan and Hong agreed. With the planet's consciousness providing precise coordinates, they recorded the three destinations before leaving the crystal cavern and returning to the surface.
By the ti they reached camp, Thor was already there. Faint arcs of electricity flickered across his body, a clear sign that he had already begun absorbing energy.
"You said there's an even better place?" Thor asked eagerly, his eyes shining. "Where is it? What's it like?"
Rowan explained everything, including their encounter with the planet's consciousness and the existence of the so-called convergence zone.
"I can't wait to get there," Thor said, clenching his fists, barely able to contain his excitent. "If it's really like what you described, it'll be a massive boost to my training."
They wasted no ti. Shadow distributed supplies and ergency equipnt sufficient for three days to each of them, ensuring everyone could safely carry out their individual missions.
"Rember, return to camp in three days," Shadow reminded them. "If anything unusual happens, contact us imdiately through the ergency channel."
After a brief farewell, the four parted ways, each boarding a small aircraft and heading toward their respective destinations.
Rowan flew southeast toward the volcanic region.
As his craft advanced, the landscape below began to change. The blue-green vegetation gradually faded, replaced by crimson rock formations and vast stretches of black basalt. The concentration of ionized particles in the air dropped, yet the temperature steadily climbed. Even through his protective suit, Rowan could feel the growing intensity of the heat.
After nearly two hours of flight, his destination ca into view.
A colossal rift stretched across the land, several kiloters wide and plunging into darkness. Within its depths, flashes of red light pulsed intermittently, accompanied by faint tremors that rippled through the ground. Scans confird extrely high temperatures, with fresh volcanic rock covering much of the surface, clear evidence of recent magma activity.
Rowan landed near the edge of the rift on a relatively stable patch of ground. The mont he opened the hatch, a wave of scorching air rushed toward him. Even with his suit operating at maximum capacity, the heat felt almost tangible.
He approached the edge carefully and looked down.
The sight before him was both magnificent and terrifying.
Rivers of molten lava wound through the depths like glowing veins. Bubbles burst across their surfaces, occasionally sending small bursts of magma into the air. Even more astonishing were the massive rocks suspended above the lava flows. They neither fell nor lted, hovering silently as if held in place by an invisible force.
"This can't be a natural phenonon," Rowan murmured. "There has to be sothing else at work here."
He activated his suit's scanning system. The data revealed an intricate and powerful geomagnetic field perating the entire rift. Countless magnetic vortices ford a delicate balance, holding the floating rocks precisely in place.
"Incredible," Rowan said softly. "This kind of structure doesn't happen by accident. The planet itself must have shaped this."
At that mont, the ancient voice echoed once more in his mind.
"You have arrived. Feel… the essence of fire."
Rowan closed his eyes, focusing on the presence.
"You an this place can help understand the law of fire?"
"Yes… and no. Rock and lava are only forms. True fire… transcends matter. It exists within energy itself."
Rowan fell into thought.
"So what I need to perceive isn't the physical fla, but the energy behind it?"
"Correct. Descend to the valley floor. Stand upon the platform I prepared. There… you will feel true fire."
Rowan scanned the surroundings and soon spotted a narrow path carved into the cliffside, spiraling downward. It was unnaturally smooth, clearly not the result of natural erosion, but sothing intentionally created.
"You made that path for ?"
"Yes. It is safe. Proceed."
Taking a steady breath, Rowan activated his suit's advanced heat resistance and began his descent.
The deeper he went, the hotter it beca. The air warped and shimred, distorting his vision. His suit worked at full capacity, isolating the intense heat from his body.
After twenty minutes, he finally reached the bottom.
At the center of the rift stood a circular platform made of black crystalline material, roughly ten ters in diater. Lava rivers surrounded it, yet the platform itself remained at a stable, comfortable temperature, as if shielded by an unseen barrier.
"Stand at the center. Close your eyes. Feel."
Rowan followed the instruction.
At first, there was nothing. Only the distant sound of flowing magma.
Then, gradually, sothing changed.
He began to sense faint fluctuations, like countless tiny sparks dancing in the air around him.
"This…" Rowan's eyes widened slightly. "I can feel it."
He could perceive every trace of thermal energy, every vibration, every movent of energy through space.
"The essence of fire… is not burning. Not heat. It is transformation. Energy shifting from one state… into another."
Understanding dawned on him.
"I see now. The core of the law of fire isn't controlling flas. It's mastering the process of energy transformation itself."
"Correct. Go deeper."
Rowan focused, diving further into that invisible layer of reality.
Soon, a new world unfolded before him.
Beyond ordinary sight, countless energy particles danced through space, colliding, rging, transforming. Every interaction followed a precise and elegant pattern, forming sothing like a grand symphony of energy.
"It's… beautiful," Rowan whispered, overwheld.
"This is the true universe… at the level of energy. All laws… all power… originate here. What you see now… is only the beginning."
Guided by the planet's consciousness, Rowan began experinting.
Through subtle shifts in his thoughts, he found he could influence the movent of those particles, guiding their trajectories and even triggering specific transformations.
"So this is true mastery of fire," he said, realization striking him. "Not creating flas, but understanding and directing energy itself."
"You begin to understand. But this is only the first step."
Over the next two days, Rowan imrsed himself completely in training.
Under constant guidance, he learned to sense and manipulate energy at a microscopic level. He practiced directing energy flows, creating pathways for transformation, and converting energy into various forms.
Gradually, his control over fire underwent a fundantal evolution.
He no longer relied on external fuel. Instead, he could draw energy directly from his surroundings, transform it within himself, and release it as pure fla.
The fire he created was different. It burned cleaner, stronger, more refined.
Because it was not born from matter, but from energy itself.
"This… is incredible," Rowan murmured, staring at the blue-white fla hovering above his palm. It burned steadily without fuel, radiating a quiet, imnse power. "I never imagined the law of fire could be this profound."
"All laws… have deeper layers. Surface understanding is only the beginning. True mastery lies in essence."
His training continued for two full days.
By the end, Rowan was exhausted.
He sat cross-legged on the platform, entering a deep ditative state to recover.
"You have improved quickly," the voice said. "But do not rush. Cultivation requires ti… and accumulation."
Rowan nodded.
"I understand. What I've gained here already exceeds anything I expected. Thank you."
"No need for thanks. Mutual respect. Mutual benefit. This is the path of coexistence."
On the morning of the third day, Rowan prepared to leave.
The planet's consciousness guided him along a faster route back to the surface.
"I'll co back if I can," Rowan said before departing. "This place… it's invaluable to ."
"You are always welco… seeker of fire."
The voice gradually faded.
Rowan boarded his aircraft and set course for the camp.
Leaning back in his seat, he closed his eyes, feeling the steady flow of energy within him.
"I wonder how Thor and the others did," he thought. "If their locations are anything like this… then this unexpected landing might have been a rare stroke of fortune."
The aircraft sped through the sky, passing shifting clouds and flashes of distant lightning. Below, the terrain slowly transitioned from crimson rock to blue-green vegetation.
He was nearing the original camp.
After about an hour and a half, Rowan finally spotted it in the distance.
To his surprise, Thor, Shadow, and Hong had already returned. The three stood on a temporary platform at the center of the camp, deep in discussion.
Rowan landed and stepped out.
Thor was the first to notice him, imdiately waving.
"Rowan! You're finally back!" he called out excitedly. "You won't believe what we found!"
As Rowan approached, he noticed the change in Thor.
Faint arcs of electricity flowed across his skin. His eyes glowed with a sharp blue light, and his entire presence felt more intense, more alive. Clearly, his training at the convergence point had yielded remarkable results.
"Looks like things went well for you," Rowan said with a smile. "That place really lived up to expectations?"
Thor nodded vigorously, barely able to contain himself.
"It's beyond anything I imagined! There's a massive lightning vortex there, directly connected to the planet's magma core! Lightning and earthfire collide, forming a unique energy field. I could feel the very origin of lightning itself! Not only can I control external lightning now, I can generate pure lightning energy within my own body!"
