Let's rewind the clock slightly...
Realizing the situation was dire, Samuel Sterns quietly slipped away from the warehouse while Blonsky was busy battling the group of rcenaries injected with the Hulk serum.
Seeing the ferocious yellow behemoth maintain an overwhelming advantage against over a dozen mutated rcenaries, Sterns knew the battle was lost.
Retreat was the only option. His side was at a clear disadvantage... his mutated hounds had their heads smashed in, the warehouse floor was littered with rcenary corpses, and strange noises were coming from the room where Betty and the others were held.
Without hostages, he had no bargaining chips left. Continuing the fight was hopeless.
Fury burned in Sterns' chest. He never expected Sean to be so deeply concealed, his true strength far surpassing anyone's imagination...
The New York genius who was shrouded in countless accolades had hidden his power far too well.
The foolish, arrogant Justin Hamr had actually tried to eliminate him and seize Umbrella. Looking back now, it was utterly laughable. The strength Sean had just displayed was even more terrifying than Blonsky's...
Using his psychic control to command the remaining mutated rcenaries to desperately hold Blonsky back, Sterns sneaked into a nearby warehouse to gather all his research data and materials. Most importantly, he couldn't leave behind Bruce Banner, his endless source of serum samples.
The poor man, trapped in Sterns' carefully laid snare, had beco a living blood bank. He was regularly drained and kept subdued with inhibitors to prevent the Hulk's awakening... Banner was a crucial asset...
After copying all the experintal data, Sterns pushed open the door to a dilapidated room inside the warehouse, "Dr. Banner, we need to leave. Now."
Banner was strapped to a crude surgical bed, sustained by IV nutrients, while tubes connected to his veins allowed Sterns to extract blood at will for his deranged experints.
"Sean Cyphers... that damn bastard!"
Thinking of his hard work over the past days being destroyed by Blonsky and Sean, Sterns' eyes burned with rage...
It felt like a knife twisting in his heart. He had painstakingly created twenty viable test subjects from the forty to fifty n Justin Hamr provided, and now he had to start from scratch...
...
Banner had been drifting in and out of consciousness for days, the Hulk seemingly dormant, unresponsive no matter how much he willed it. For the first ti, he wanted the green beast to erge...
In his haze, he vaguely saw Samuel Sterns moving about, disjointed words reaching his ears:
"...should've at least kept Elizabeth Ross as leverage... might as well have killed that woman..."
'Betty?' The sluggish gears in Banner's mind suddenly jolted awake, a violent chemical reaction erupting in his brain.
Waves of adrenaline surged through his numb nerves. With imnse effort, Banner forced his eyelids open, his entire body trembling as he strained to summon the monster within!
Rage filled his chest like molten lava, the glowing green figure flickering in the depths of his mind.
Tearing at his vocal cords, Banner mustered every ounce of strength to roar: "HULK!"
*Boom!*
The long-suppressed volcano of fury finally erupted!
Sterns was stunned...
He watched as Banner effortlessly snapped his restraints, his emaciated body that was weakened by constant blood draws and confinent swelled rapidly like a balloon.
Towering muscles bulged, veins throbbing beneath green skin as those furious eyes locked onto him.
"Wait– Dr. Banner, let explain... everything I did was for a greater good–" Sterns stumbled back, babbling incoherently.
As he stared up at the Hulk's hulking form, confusion clouded his mind. He had been injecting Banner with heavy doses of suppressants daily... how was this possible?
Desperate, he unleashed a barrage of psychic assaults, trying to seize control of the enraged beast. If he could ta the Hulk, all his losses would be worth it!
"Betty..." Banner's fading consciousness clung to her na, while Sterns' ntal attacks felt like rocks pounding his skull... They were dizzying, but otherwise useless.
The Hulk swayed drunkenly, staggering like a man deep in his cups. Gradually, Banner's thoughts faded, leaving only the Hulk's primal fury.
Blinking open green eyes, the Hulk saw only a grotesque big-headed man buzzing around like an annoying fly...
The psychic attacks irritated him. With a thunderous roar, the shockwave alone sent dust flying like a miniature hurricane.
Swatting at the nuisance like a botherso insect, the Hulk's hand connected...
*Splat*
Samuel Sterns' oversized head exploded like an overripe lon. A massive foot lifted, then stomped down.
*Squish!*
The sickening squish marked the end of what should have been a minor character, his final monts filled with regret and bitter resentnt as he was reduced to a pulpy sar.
Unfazed, the Hulk only sought the beautiful figure flickering in his mind. The fury of days in captivity beca an endless well of power.
Like an enraged bull, he charged through the warehouse wall, the ground trembling beneath his steps...
...
Blonsky, having just snapped the last mutated rcenary's neck, turned to see the green goliath barreling toward him and grinned in delight...
"Big guy! Been looking for you!" He didn't even care why the Hulk had suddenly appeared.
Blonsky charged head-on, and the two colossal bodies collided with enough force to send shockwaves rippling outward.
The warehouse shuddered, its structural integrity failing under the titanic clash.
"Rember ? Rio de Janeiro!"
Four arms as thick as tree-trunks locked together like battling bulls, the ground cracking beneath their feet. The brutal stalemate lasted half a minute before Blonsky, whose combat instincts were razor-sharp, suddenly disengaged, sidestepping to let the Hulk stumble forward off-balance.
Seizing the opening, he pounced, pinning the Hulk and raining down hamr-like blows in a relentless barrage!
"Is that all you've got–"
His taunt died as the Hulk blocked the next strike, his erald eyes burning with pure rage.
*ROAR!*
*Bam!*
One earth-shaking punch sent Blonsky flying. The Hulk surged to his feet, his fury escalating, the very air vibrating with his wrath.
Blonsky skidded backward, carving trenches in the ground before halting.
His grin widened...
This was the fight he craved!
The two titans leaped high.
*BOOOM!*
Their fists t mid-air with a thunderous impact, the recoil sending both crashing through the warehouse walls.
The Hulk landed atop stacked shipping containers at the docks, his weight collapsing the tal towers in a deafening avalanche.
Blonsky dug his heels in, plowing furrows through concrete as he halted his montum.
A massive green hand tore through the wreckage, steel panels crumpled like paper in the Hulk's grip. Ripping free an entire container, he hurled it like a missile at the charging Blonsky.
The Abomination, as Blonsky now called himself, grabbed a nearby crane and wrenched the entire boom arm free to swing like a baseball bat. The container shattered mid-air, and its contents rained down in a tallic downpour.
"HULK SMASH!"
The green giant pounded his chest, causing his rage-fueled muscles to swell further.
"I've always wanted to prove... I'm the one who deserves this power!" Blonsky crouched, then launched himself skyward, the crane arm whistling through the air as he brought it down like an executioner's axe!
