The sound of half a mountain wall nearly collapsing wasn't quiet.
All of Kamar-Taj could hear that enormous roar.
Guanhe and the others naturally heard it too.
And before that thunderous sound arrived—
Guanhe sat on a chair like a well-behaved little kid.
At one ter eighty, the big guy sohow looked a little aggrieved.
The chair almost couldn't fit him.
Across from him sat a burly middle-aged man.
He looked like he had a heavy build, yet that body contained trendous power.
This man—
was one of the Master Sorcerers guarding Kamar-Taj: Wong.
Wong wasn't a disciple of Kamar-Taj, but he had been here for who-knew-how-many years—an old sorcerer through and through.
His ancestors had been mbers of Kamar-Taj.
Naturally, Wong inherited that legacy, and his strength was nothing to scoff at.
At the very least, Guanhe didn't dare act out in front of Wong.
Soone like Doctor Strange, who dared to be mischievous in front of Wong, was a rare case.
Even though Wong wasn't so overly severe person, that face of his—stern and unsmiling—was enough to make plenty of sorcerers' hearts pound.
"Guanhe. What you said is true?"
"Kamar-Taj has produced another genius with the aptitude of a Master Sorcerer?"
Wong spoke in a very serious tone.
That expression made Guanhe tense up.
"Yes, Wong-sama."
"Kamar-Taj has produced another genius."
"It's Karl."
"Karl?"
Wong's brow furrowed—so slightly it was almost imperceptible.
"I rember this kid. Three years, and he still didn't beco a Probationary Sorcerer, did he?"
"And you're calling him a genius?"
Wong was genuinely confused.
If he didn't know that Guanhe wasn't the type to talk nonsense, he would've kicked him out on the spot.
He'd heard about Karl's reputation.
Three years without becoming a Probationary Sorcerer.
To put it bluntly, with that kind of talent, at best he'd beco an official sorcerer in this lifeti—and only if he worked hard.
A sorcerer like that could be called a genius?
Wong stared at Guanhe, serious as ever, clearly expecting a reasonable explanation.
"Wong-sama, I'm telling the truth!"
"Karl is the type who stays silent until he shocks the world in one burst."
"That kid is a real genius."
Guanhe said.
"Words are aningless."
Wong replied flatly.
"Wong-sama, of course I have proof."
"Do you rember what happened at the library a few days ago?"
Guanhe asked.
"I do."
"You and Duoze have to pay the next three years of stipends to repair the Great Library, and you also have to personally inscribe the Roof Reinforcent Runes."
Wong said expressionlessly.
Guanhe: ???
Have so manners, will you?!
If the person sitting in front of him weren't a Master Sorcerer, Guanhe would've wanted to give him a huge slap across the face.
Why bring up the one thing that hurts the most?!
Just thinking about it made his heart ache.
Three years of stipends—he could accept that.
But inscribing runes? That was truly miserable work.
He really was an idiot!
Why did he ever question a genius?
After taking a deep breath, Guanhe finally steadied his emotions.
"Wong-sama, I know that."
"But that's not what I an. What I an is—do you know who damaged the library?"
Guanhe leaned in and spoke mysteriously.
"You're not about to tell it was Karl, are you?"
Wong said without changing his expression.
"You're exactly right. It was Karl."
Guanhe answered.
"That joke isn't funny."
"The library's structure—sothing a Probationary Sorcerer can destroy?"
Wong said sternly.
Don't be ridiculous.
The library was one of the most important buildings. Incredibly solid. Ordinary sorcerers couldn't damage it.
A Probationary Sorcerer destroying it?
How was that possible?
"Wong-sama, it's true. I have no reason to joke about sothing like this."
"Duoze, Alfred, and I saw it with our own eyes."
"If Karl didn't do it, do you think Duoze and I would've smashed up the library like lunatics?"
Guanhe said.
"That's not necessarily the case. The conflict between you and Duoze is common knowledge."
"Even now, Sorceress Delys is still stationed in dinsional space and hasn't returned to Kamar-Taj. That's because of you two."
Wong said expressionlessly.
Guanhe: ???
Guanhe took a deep breath.
If Wong weren't a Master Sorcerer… and if Guanhe could beat him…
Today, Guanhe would absolutely teach Wong why flowers are so red.
He took another deep breath and forced himself to speak.
"I was afraid you wouldn't believe , so we prepared in advance."
With a flick of his wrist, Guanhe directly pulled out his phone and showed Wong several pictures.
"Wong-sama, please look. There's no need for us to fake this, right?"
Wong took the phone. At first, he didn't care.
Then he looked—
and the expression on his face beca even more severe.
In the photos—
Karl used the Eldritch Whip in his hands and directly shattered the roof of the library.
"How is this possible?"
Wong frowned, unable to help himself.
This had to be a joke, right?
A Probationary Sorcerer—even if he relied on so powerful Forbidden Arts—might not be completely incapable of bursting out with great power.
But a Probationary Sorcerer using an Eldritch Whip to split open the library?
That was way too absurd.
An Eldritch Whip—a spell with basically no offensive power—could do that?
If it were in the hands of the Sorcerer Supre, sure, no problem.
But Karl was just a Probationary Sorcerer!
"You're sure this is real? You aren't lying to ?"
Wong asked.
"Wong-sama, don't joke around."
"How could we team up to deceive you?"
"I'll stake my life on it—everything I said is true!"
Guanhe declared solemnly.
"If it's true, then this kid really is a genius."
Wong said with the sa calm face as before.
But inside, he was nowhere near as composed as he looked.
He rembered clearly.
Back when he was still an Apprentice Sorcerer, he wasn't anywhere near this strong.
Not even close.
He felt he didn't even have one-tenth of that level.
Even Kaecilius—disciple of the Ancient One—didn't have this kind of aptitude back then.
A Probationary Sorcerer having this level of power…
It really was outrageous.
"No. I need to go see for myself."
"A genius like this should be taught personally by the Ancient One."
Wong said.
In Kamar-Taj, the Ancient One's status was supre, yet she was also very approachable.
She often taught apprentices together with the other sorcerers.
Even Baron Mordo and the others would personally guide students.
Of course—
the more talented soone was, the better the instruction they received.
If Karl truly possessed great talent,
Wong absolutely would not allow Karl's gifts to be wasted.
BOOM!!
A huge explosion rang out.
The area shook.
Dust kept raining down from the ceiling.
"What happened?"
"Did soone invade Kamar-Taj?"
Wong abruptly stood up.
A powerful aura erupted from his body.
That aura hit Guanhe like a physical blow—he dropped back into his seat, face flushed red.
A Master Sorcerer…
That strong?
