Karl was cultivating magic in the Mirror Dinsion.
So people, however, were far less calm than he was.
Inside Kamar-Taj, within a hidden chamber.
Kaecilius's expression was extrely grim.
He hadn't expected that guy Mordo to actually beat them.
Karl had beco Mordo's disciple.
That made Kaecilius deeply displeased.
"Hmph. That guy's only acting high and mighty because he arrived earlier—and because he's stronger."
Kaecilius snorted coldly to himself.
"But lately I don't even have ti to teach students."
"It's ti to investigate that matter."
Kaecilius made a decision in his heart.
Recently, while searching through books in the library, he had suddenly discovered a secret.
The suprely exalted Ancient One of Kamar-Taj seed to be absorbing power from the Dark Dinsion.
When Kaecilius first ca into contact with this secret, he didn't believe it at all.
After all, she was the sensei he respected—always teaching him to stay away from darkness and to protect the natural laws.
But now…
What he had found was completely different from what the Ancient One had said.
"I have to find out the truth."
"Has the Ancient One really fallen into darkness—has she really been drawing on the power of darkness?"
"The power that brought to Kamar-Taj… was it truly pure?"
The more Kaecilius thought, the more chaotic his mind beca, and the darker his mood grew.
"I have to get to the bottom of this!"
After hesitating for a mont, Kaecilius steeled himself.
He walked straight out of his room and headed into the library.
He ignored the sorcerers who greeted him.
He went straight to the shelves and found a book bound in chains.
Opening the book, Kaecilius quickly found what he was looking for.
Rip—!
Kaecilius tore those pages right out.
He didn't even bother putting the book back where it belonged. He turned around and left imdiately.
Leaving the library—
Kaecilius tore open a Portal and vanished from Kamar-Taj.
A mont later.
He appeared inside a sealed chamber.
The expression on his face turned exceptionally solemn.
With a wave of his hand—
The torn pages floated before his eyes.
Kaecilius read the words on those pages, line by line.
"The Ancient One is a liar!"
"She's been absorbing the power of the Dark Dinsion this whole ti!"
"And yet she never lets us touch this great energy—this eternal life!"
Kaecilius's face was filled with pain.
In truth…
Before this, Kaecilius really wasn't a bad person—just a bit extre.
He had co to Kamar-Taj for one reason: to bring back his dead wife and child.
Now, seeing what was written on these pages—
In an instant, he saw hope for resurrecting his family!
"Eternal life—hope of resurrection!"
"Ancient One, what right do you have to keep from touching it?!"
"This is the truly great power!"
Kaecilius kept speaking aloud.
If he possessed this great power—
Not only could he resurrect his family, he could also gain eternal life and attain true eternity!
Compared to the order Kamar-Taj maintained—
This was the truly great order!
With that thought—
Kaecilius no longer hesitated.
He began cultivating according to what the pages described.
The eerie runes etched on the pages—
At this mont, they actually appeared before Kaecilius.
Strange whispering sounds echoed at his side.
Kaecilius suddenly opened his eyes.
Only to find that he was no longer in that sealed chamber.
Instead, he was within a boundless Dark Dinsion.
Beneath his feet was a kind of multicolored crystal that shimred faintly.
As far as the eye could see—nothing but darkness.
All of a sudden—
A gigantic human face appeared before him.
Just a single eyeball was as large as a mountain peak. Vast dark power surged across it.
That power was unfathomably deep, incomparably mighty.
As though what stood before him was infinity—was eternity itself.
Kaecilius involuntarily dropped to his knees.
"Great Dark Dinsion demon Dormammu!"
"Please accept the service of your humble servant!"
"I am willing to offer everything I have—only grant limitless power!"
Kaecilius shouted loudly.
"Interesting… pitiable human."
"Since you sincerely request it, then as you wish."
"Go. Gather followers. Destroy the Three Sanctums, and I will grant you everything you desire."
Dormammu's booming voice rang out.
With a single breath—
A strand of blackness shot straight into Kaecilius's body.
"AAAH!!"
Kaecilius let out a scream.
He felt as though his body was being stripped apart—being remade.
At the sa ti, powerful energy began forming within him.
At the very center of his forehead, a dark mark appeared.
"Go, my slave."
"Destroy the Three Sanctums, and I will return your world to eternity."
"Offer your world to , and your wish will be fulfilled!"
Dormammu's voice sounded again.
Kaecilius felt the surrounding environnt abruptly change.
Like streaming light—like an Illusion.
When he opened his eyes again, he was still in that sealed chamber.
"Was that an Illusion?"
Kaecilius couldn't help blurting out.
But—
When he focused his mind—
He suddenly sensed the power within his body increase by fifty percent!
Now, even if Mordo appeared before him, he could defeat him with ease!
With a wave of his hand—
The surrounding space flowed like running water.
Reality itself—space itself—was actually moving continuously in accordance with his will.
A feverish expression surfaced on Kaecilius's face.
"Ah! It's real!"
"What great power! What terrifying vitality!"
Kaecilius couldn't help shouting loudly.
This was power you could only grasp after pushing Mirror Dinsion cultivation to the extre!
Interfering with reality!
Yet now—
Through Dormammu's gift, he had seized this terrifying power.
At the sa ti, he could feel that his body now contained incomparably tyrannical vitality.
Sothing he absolutely did not possess before!
"Ancient One!"
"You sanctimonious hypocrite—hoarding this incomparably great power all for yourself!"
"You liar!"
"You knew all of this long ago, yet you never told !"
Kaecilius beca utterly extre. The reverence he once held in his heart instantly turned into fury—into hatred and jealousy!
The Ancient One clearly knew—yet refused to tell him!
This was hope for resurrecting his family!
"I'm going to offer this world to the great Dormammu!"
"That way, I can resurrect my family and obtain endless life!"
Kaecilius grew incomparably fanatical.
After raving for a long while, he gradually cald down.
"I can't possibly fight Kamar-Taj alone. I need power."
"I need followers."
"I need genius sorcerers—to beco my support!"
Black light flickered in Kaecilius's eyes.
He knew how powerful Kamar-Taj was.
Naturally, he also knew that alone he could never oppose such a terrifying force.
He needed helpers.
Helpers with enough talent.
And now—
He already had a target!
