The Ancient One's plan had been thought through very well.
Karl's talent—she had seen it with her own eyes.
She even felt that, even compared to the Strange she had high hopes for, Strange was far inferior to Karl in terms of raw talent.
As for character, he was also soone she could put on the table with confidence.
Humble, extrely respectful toward his teacher, and genuinely loved magic.
He was absolutely the right kind of person to guard Kamar-Taj.
The Ancient One was very satisfied with him.
That was why she had taught Karl a piece of extrely complex magic.
Even the Master Sorcerers of Kamar-Taj hadn't mastered magic this complicated.
The Ancient One was a little shaken inside, but her face remained calm. She only gave a slight nod.
"Karl, since you've learned it, you'd better take another careful look."
"Can you tell what's different about this space?"
Hearing that, Karl examined it closely.
A faint white glow rose in his eyes, as if intricate runes were flowing and cycling within them.
The scenery around them instantly beca different.
What had originally seed like empty void abruptly revealed other things.
Several incredibly complex, lightning-like patterns and platinum-white runes supported each other, interlocking perfectly.
Two different powers ford an extrely complicated structure—so complicated that even Karl couldn't fully make it out at a glance.
But at this mont…
Those blue, complex patterns seed slightly damaged, and the adjacent platinum-white spell array was damaged as well.
Black aura continuously seeped outward.
A bold guess surfaced in Karl's mind.
This place looks kind of familiar!
This array… this power…
Don't tell it's sealing Hela, that lunatic?!
If it really was, then this was going to be hilarious—in the worst possible way.
Karl turned to the Ancient One and spoke.
"Such a complex seal…"
"Ancient One, are you sealing so powerful otherworldly creature here?"
"If it were an otherworldly creature, that would be fine."
"The thing inside is far more troubleso than an otherworldly creature."
The Ancient One gave a bitter smile and shook her head.
"But it doesn't matter."
"With the way things are, the one inside won't be able to co out for a while."
"If you add another layer of sealing, it should be safe for decades."
The Ancient One said calmly.
Karl couldn't help the corner of his mouth twitching.
The Sorcerer Supre was way too confident.
Forget decades—this probably wouldn't last even a few years.
Once that old man Odin died, Hela would be able to co out easily.
Then it would really be a disaster.
Who knew whether it would trigger a butterfly effect and ss up the "return to the proper track"?
If she won in Asgard, then the other Nine Realms would suffer too.
Given Hela's personality, that was absolutely sothing she would do.
Looks like it really was wise for the Ancient One to bring him here this ti.
Add more sealing, and that woman definitely wouldn't be able to escape.
With that thought, Karl decided to use all his power—lock Hela inside for good.
"Ancient One, don't worry. I'll give it everything I've got."
After saying that to the Ancient One—
Karl didn't hesitate.
His full spiritual power surged, and the magic within his body was mobilized as well.
Vast Vishanti divine power appeared out of nowhere in his hands.
In front of him, an incomparably complex runic spell array condensed into form.
Within a single short line of the formation, there were thousands upon thousands of runes.
If a Master Sorcerer ca here, they'd likely have to exhaust all their ntal power just to build sothing this complex.
And that wasn't all.
Platinum-white Vishanti divine power continuously linked through the formation, connecting into one.
The aura of shackles spread outward, making the surrounding magic feel eerily dead and still.
Karl didn't hesitate for even a mont.
He slamd this seal straight onto the seal within the void.
In an instant—
The two seals fused together.
Powerful sealing force rippled out, directly locking down the black aura and stuffing it back inside.
The Ancient One nodded with satisfaction.
Karl truly hadn't disappointed her.
This seal was extrely strong. Even the deathly power leaking out from Hela was easily pressed down and sealed away by this overwhelming force.
A smile rose on the Ancient One's face.
Then—
Her expression froze.
Sothing was wrong.
Why did it look like Odin's tyrannical lightning divine power had started to dim as well?
Karl… had sealed Odin's divine power too?!
"Karl, stop! Now!"
The Ancient One shouted urgently.
Her magic surged as she tried to interrupt Karl's power.
But—
Damn it.
Too late!
Hela's seal relied primarily on Odin's power.
Odin had been using his own life force to seal Hela.
This seal was intimately connected to Odin.
As long as Odin's life force remained vigorous, the seal would never break—Hela would remain sealed and exiled forever.
Just like her death kingdom—cut off and isolated, apart from the Two Kings of the Gods.
But the Ancient One had not expected this—
Karl's seal was too strong!
And it seed to carry so kind of bizarre, special effect!
The connection between Odin's power and this seal had actually been severed!
If this were any other ti, the Ancient One would have been ecstatic—she would have imdiately treated Karl as her successor.
But now—
This was not "any other ti."
The mont Odin's power vanished, Hela naturally felt it.
She began to smash against the seal like a madwoman.
That terrifying deathly power beca almost tangible.
"Move! Strike with !"
The Ancient One shouted again.
Platinum-white light flared in her hands as she directly reinforced the seal again.
Two layers of seals slamd down once more.
Damn it—
Still too late.
This place wasn't only sealing Hela.
It was also sealing her death kingdom.
Here, without Odin's power, no one's power worked well.
Even soone as strong as the Ancient One—if she didn't destroy the death kingdom imdiately—couldn't withstand that kind of force.
Not to ntion—
Hela herself was a powerhouse not inferior to the Ancient One.
Crack!
Crack!
The sound of shattering rang out again and again.
The seal—reinforced who knew how many tis over the years—began to fracture, slowly but unmistakably.
Overwhelming deathly aura poured out from within.
The Ancient One's face imdiately turned grave.
The seal… had broken.
Hela… had escaped.
With Odin not here, they couldn't hold her down anymore.
As the seal collapsed, deathly power erupted like seawater bursting from a broken dam, blasting outward.
That kind of power was terrifying.
If the two of them weren't Kamar-Taj sorcerers standing here, they would have been turned into withered bones in an instant.
However—
In front of the Ancient One, that level of power wasn't enough.
With a wave of her hand, the deathly power dispersed into nothing.
But the expression on her face didn't improve in the slightest…
