As expected, Lucas's diary delivered another round of ruthless comntary.
But this ti, Thor wasn't angry. His mindset had shifted.
He stared at the words, a flicker of doubt crossing his face.
Is my father really that strong?
A Skyfather-level entity.
Thor had grown up hearing the legends of Odin's power, of course. He knew his father was mighty. But he had never realized the gap between them was this vast.
In his mind, he wasn't that far behind. Hadn't he just destroyed the Destroyer—Odin's own ultimate weapon? Surely that counted for sothing.
Among the people he knew, only Odin—and maybe the mysterious Ancient One—should be able to challenge him.
But Lucas's tone suggested otherwise. The gap wasn't just a single level. It was multiple tiers.
They weren't even in the sa conversation. Apparently, Thor was only comparable to this "Hulk" creature—whoever that was.
And then there was the insult: God of Hamrs.
Usually, Thor would have raged at the disrespect. But this ti, he couldn't find the words to argue.
He had just watched the video of his own resurrection. He saw how powerless he was as a mortal, and how instantly he regained his godhood the mont Mjolnir returned to his hand.
It begged the question: did the power co from him? Or did it co from the hamr?
If soone called him the God of Hamrs to his face right now, he wouldn't even have a coback.
They have a point.
He realized how childish he'd been. His father conquered the Nine Realms because he was a Skyfather-level being—a cosmic powerhouse.
Thor? He didn't know exactly how far below "Skyfather" he was, but he suspected it was a long drop.
His entire self-assessnt shattered.
He used to think he was the strongest warrior in the universe, second only to Odin. The reality? He wasn't even the strongest being on Earth.
No wonder Lucas mocked him.
"Skyfather level," Fury muttered, filing the term away in his ntal database.
He didn't know if Earth had any beings of that caliber, or exactly how powerful a Skyfather was. But based on Lucas's description, it was clearly the ceiling of the current power scale. Until the story moved to the next phase, they didn't need to worry about anyone stronger than Odin popping up.
It explained why Earth had remained relatively safe for so long. Odin's existence acted as a cosmic deterrent.
On the other end of the line, Tony Stark had also seen the term. His mind imdiately went to work.
He muted his audio feed.
"J.A.R.V.I.S., open a new file. Label it 'Asgard.' Add entries for Thor and Odin. Mark Odin as 'Skyfather Level Threat.'"
"File created, Sir," J.A.R.V.I.S. responded smoothly.
Tony had just breathed a sigh of relief seeing Thor regain his powers. He'd accepted that Thor would be a future Avenger, an ally.
But "ally" wasn't enough for Tony Stark.
Even if Thor was friendly now, he was still an alien god with the power to level cities. What about tomorrow? What about ten years from now?
Tony had a contingency plan for everything. He even had a file on Lucas—the man who saved his life. He wasn't about to let a walking nuke like Thor go unchecked.
Especially not after seeing what the Destroyer could do.
"Create a sub-project," Tony ordered, his voice low. "Codena: Anti-Thor Armor."
"New project initialized."
"Note the following requirents: Materials must be non-conductive and highly resistant to electrical discharge," Tony said, pacing his lab. "And impact resistance. It needs to withstand massive kinetic energy spikes."
He recalled the video—the blinding lightning, the tornado, the sheer force Thor used to crush the Destroyer.
"Notes recorded," J.A.R.V.I.S. confird.
Tony paused, tapping his chin.
"Also... look into magical runes. I don't know where to learn about them yet, but flag it for future research. If we're fighting magic users, we might need magic-based counterasures."
Science was Tony's playground. He could learn any discipline, master any engineering challenge. If he wasn't busy running a company and chasing skirts, he'd be the greatest scientist in history.
But magic? That was a black box. He was afraid he wouldn't understand it.
But fear didn't matter. He had to understand it.
Lucas's diary had shown them a terrifying possibility: a tiline where Asgard declared war on Earth just because Thor died. An entire alien armada descending to wipe out humanity.
That scenario haunted Tony.
It might only be a "possibility," but Tony Stark didn't deal in chances. He dealt in guarantees. He would never let Earth be caught defenseless again.
"Remind to run simulations on new alloy compositions," Tony added. "And scan global markets for the strongest tals available. Check the black market."
J.A.R.V.I.S. processed the request instantly.
"Scanning... According to black market data, two tals exceed all known standards. First: Adamantium. Rare, expensive, and snapped up imdiately whenever it appears. Second: Vibranium. Originating from a small African nation called Wakanda. Information is scarce, but tallurgical data suggests Vibranium surpasses all known alloys in strength, durability, and energy absorption. Nothing in any governnt lab compares to it."
