Looking at the bustling construction site, Lucas's eyes flickered.
The next mont, ti flowed backward, and the stars rapidly changed with it. Finally, this world was frozen into a picture.
In the picture, the clock tower, which had been mostly repaired, once again turned into a ruin.
In the ruins, Amazing Spider-Man held Amazing Gwen, who had lost her vital signs, his face filled with pain and remorse.
Amazing Gwen's soul tried to embrace Amazing Spider-Man, comforting him not to be sad, not to be upset, but she could not touch Amazing Spider-Man.
Further away was the phantom of a dieval swordsman wearing green armor and a long sword at his waist.
Is this Nightmare, the ruler of the Nightmare Dinsion?
Lucas leisurely sized up the phantom of the dieval swordsman, but did not do anything extra.
He had already seen what happened next in Amazing Gwen's mory. So he had no interest in seeing it again.
Divine power circulated, and Lucas extracted a portion of living cells from Amazing Gwen's body, turning them from illusory to real.
This action would hardly have any impact on the predetermined history of the past. However, there was still a slight fluctuation in space-ti.
Lucas's white energy circulated, quickly smoothing out the space-ti fluctuations.
Previously, he would just let the Universe regulate these subtle fluctuations itself. But now that his abilities had improved, it was better to fix them.
Putting away Amazing Gwen's living cells, Lucas ended this ti reversal.
Then, he started slacking off.
The girls were chattering, and it was too noisy. He planned to go back at dinner ti.
At a coffee shop, he ordered a glass of milk tea and so snacks, quietly sitting and reading a book.
"Good morning, New Yorkers. Today is another beautiful day."
Lucas put down his book and looked in the direction of the sound, towards the TV in the shop.
At this mont, a morning show was being broadcast, with two hosts chatting animatedly.
"Recently, Spider-Man has been appearing less and less in the public eye. His last appearance was three days ago. This has never happened since Spider-Man first appeared. This makes people wonder, what happened to Spider-Man?"
"So people speculate that he was injured while fighting criminals? Others speculate that he finally realized his vigilante actions were wrong and plans to stop."
Amazing Spider-Man is missing?
Swallowing the last piece of fish and finishing the milk tea in his cup, Lucas got up, paid the bill, and left.
Plans have changed, he needs to get Wanda and G'iah to investigate earlier.
Turning into a blind spot of surveillance, Lucas stepped out, teleporting back to the courtyard of the Long Island Villa, then pushed the door open.
"Wanda, G'iah, work's here."
Lucas's voice interrupted the girls' discussion in the room, and they all looked at him, waiting for him to explain.
"Amazing Spider-Man is missing, he hasn't appeared for three days. Wanda, G'iah, you two go investigate the reason."
"But Lucas, couldn't you just 'whoosh' your ntal power and find Amazing Spider-Man?" Ghost Gwen asked, puzzled.
Lucas gestured to Wanda and G'iah, letting them explain themselves.
"Ghost Gwen, this is our test, so we don't need Lucas's help." Wanda and G'iah gently explained.
A test?
Ghost Gwen was puzzled, but before she could ask, Amazing Gwen asked another question, "Peter is missing? Lucas, do you know what's going on?"
Lucas sat lazily on the sofa, saying languidly, "I don't know. I just saw it on the New York morning news. As soon as I saw the news, I imdiately ca back to tell you."
Seeing Lucas lying down, ready to be a hands-off manager, Amazing Gwen looked at Wanda and G'iah, suggesting, "Wanda, G'iah, are you going to investigate this? How about going to Peter's house first? I'll take you, I know where his house is."
"Okay, thank you, Amazing Gwen."
Wanda and G'iah nodded, and taking Amazing Gwen with them, they prepared to set off.
"I'll go with you."
Ghost Gwen took off her jacket, revealing the spider suit underneath. "Spider-Sense is triggered when Spider-n are close, I can help you find Amazing Spider-Man."
"Thank you, Ghost Gwen." Amazing Gwen said gratefully.
Whoosh!
A stream of divine power approached Amazing Gwen, forming a gold and silver spider suit on her body. This suit had no additional enhancents, it rely gave Amazing Gwen the ability to touch physical entities.
"Amazing Gwen, you've been strengthened, go ahead."
"This is?" Amazing Gwen adapted slightly and understood the purpose of this spider suit. "Thank you, Lucas."
Soon, the villa was empty again.
"Hey, Lucas."
Little Gwen, who had been just observing, called out to Lucas with a serious expression, asking earnestly, "In Ghost Gwen's world, Peter Parker died. In Amazing Gwen's world, Amazing Gwen died. One of them always has to die. Is this fate or coincidence?"
Lucas explained, "Fate. But the Multiverse has more than two worlds. This kind of fate only covers a few worlds. In more worlds, Gwen and Peter are both living well, or don't even know each other."

Ghost Gwen walked out from inside and said, "No one's in the room. May might be out working and hasn't finished yet. Amazing Gwen, go check Amazing Spider-Man's room and see if you can find any clues. Wanda, G'iah, let's wait in the living room for a bit."
"Okay."
Amazing Gwen nodded and walked towards Amazing Spider-Man's room.
Wanda and G'iah sat down in the living room.
"Ghost Gwen, if there are no clues in Amazing Spider-Man's room, what should we do?"
"Then we can only wait for May to get off work and ask her." Ghost Gwen said helplessly.
She had a premonition that Amazing Spider-Man's room would likely have no clues.
