Kakashi gently lowered Pietro's body on the ground.
He tried to get his mind back into the ga and what he saw was not a very good situation.
Most of the Brotherhood mutants had been annihilated, killed or erased by Wanda or Jean.
Thankfully the X-n and the Avengers seed to be alive for now but with various levels of wounds.
He could feel the hair on his neck standing as he saw Jean and her rising level of energy.
'She would die soon with just that amount of energy that she is producing and it's still growing. There is no way her human body would be able to endure it. But so would this world,' Kakashi thought.
Charles looked at him with pain in his eyes. "Kakashi, you said you have a thod of taking a few of us to your world. Please… do that. Take the kids at the mansion."
"We can't just leave everyone else. Billions would die," Cap said in worry and not wanting to go Charles route. He had spent his life fighting for the innocent. For the many. The idea of abandoning an entire world felt wrong in every part of his soul.
Cap thought, 'There had to be another way. There was always another way.'
That was what he believed. That was what he had always fought for.
Cap continued, his shield still in his hand. "We are supposed to be Earth's mightiest heroes. We do not leave people behind. We find a solution. We save as many as we can. If we run now, what does that make us? We ca here to stop the Incursion, not to escape it and let this world burn. There must be sothing we have not thought of yet. So way to close the cracks. So way to calm Jean. So way to fix this without abandoning billions."
Charles refuted back, "There is no other way Captain. The world is going to be destroyed and Wanda is unable to stop her. We need to take what we can and leave."
Cap said, "There has to be a way…"
Kakashi analyzed every scenario and he could not see any other way. He rembered what Pietro had said to him and what he had done to save his sister Wanda and his nephews. He had given up on his own life and Kakashi would make sure that it would not be wasted. He would do what Pietro wanted him to do.
Kakashi thought about Pietro's final monts. The speedster had smiled even as blood left his body. He had chosen to protect his sister. To give his nephews a chance at having their mother. He had trusted Kakashi to carry on.
To look after the others. To make sure his sacrifice ant sothing. Kakashi could not let that sacrifice be aningless. If running to another universe was the only way to save even a few, then he would do it.
He would honor Pietro's choice. He would make sure Wanda and her children survived. He would make sure the kids at the mansion had a future. It was not the perfect solution. It was not what Cap wanted. It was not what any hero wanted.
But sotis the right choice was the hardest one. Sotis saving so was better than losing all. Kakashi had learned that lesson the hard way many tis in his life. He would not forget it now.
He thought about the children at the school. The young mutants who had looked at him with wide eyes during training. They had laughed. They had tried their best. They had dreams. They deserved a chance to grow up. To learn control. To live without fear. If this world was going to end, he could at least give them a new one. Of course, the other kids on the planet also deserved a chance but he knew that he could not save everyone or he would save no one.
And if they waited for another thod to co then their own lives would be in danger. He was not worried about him dying but he thought about the Avengers. They had followed him here. They had fought beside him. They trusted him as their leader. He could not let them die here. Not when there was still a way. Even if it ant leaving this Earth behind. Even if it ant carrying the guilt of abandonnt. He would carry it. He had carried heavier things before.
Kakashi finally spoke. "We will take the kids at the mansion and Wanda. Where are your kids… we would take them to another universe… and abandon this world." Kakashi said the last part with determination in his eyes.
The Avengers looked at each other. Cap looked in regret. But he knew that he had no power to change what was going to happen.
Kakashi said, "I will bring the kids and take them to a safe place where they could be travelled safely to our world...our universe."
Kakashi's plan was simple. To bring new people to his universe, he would first bring them into his Kamui dinsion so his own universe did not reject them and did not cause an Incursion instantly.
He had long realised that his Kamui dinsion was not a part of this multiverse and was independent from it.
And then he rembered how he ca to this world. He rembered the texts that he had read in Kamar-Taj that gave exemptions to how so universes avoided Incursions.
Kakashi was what was called a singularity. A singularity is sothing not bound by typical branching tilines and the consequences of tampering because the universe intrinsically recognises them as a constant.
Kakashi's logic was simple. Since he was a singularity and since he was not bound by the branching tilines, if he brought others within his Kamui dinsion, they would be considered similar and thus an Incursion would be avoided. His protective cover would be extended to them as they would co with Kamui to this dinsion and thus would be considered a part of him.
Just like how Pakkun and the other ninja hounds were considered a part of him as they were his summons.
'Now the only thing left is to create a way to go to our universe right now. Ancient One would not be creating a portal for us yet so we have to find our own way ho,' Kakashi thought.
And he could think of only one way to go ho. He looked at the cracked sky. The point that Wanda was constantly trying to reach the other universe.
