Pakkun appeared in a puff of smoke of the summoning jutsu. Kakashi had summoned him to know about what he had gathered about the attack on Creel and other interesting tid-bit.
He rubbed Pakkun's belly who purred before asking, "Did you find any trail to those who attacked Creel?"
Pakkun shook his head as his ears dropped in embarassnt of his failure. "No. That trail's currently a dead end. It's as if those five erged out of nowhere. They flew to the city in so aerial vehicle, that I'm sure of." His nose twitched, "I was also picking a lot of ice sll from them. It is as if they lived, breathed, ate and shat ice."
Kakashi's eyes narrowed, "Ice… so they ca from a snowy, cold place? Canada maybe?"
Pakkun shook his head, his thoughts precise. "Unlikely. I slled ice all over their bodies. It's as if they were buried in ice for years."
Kakashi's thoughts churned, piecing it together. 'They were brainwashed enhanced and buried in ice? Wait, I have heard sothing about Cryogenized technology. Were these people kept in ice to freeze their aging? That must be it.'
'Not many organisations would have the technology to keep five enhanced frozen to freeze their aging without killing them. And as for the abilities of the super soldiers, they had the basic abilities of a super soldier just like what I have read about Captain Arica. Were they created by a super soldier syrum? Does that an that soone has managed to recreate the syrum?' Kakashi thoughts stilled at that.
'Shield and Fury would want to know this. So organisation can create can create an army of enhanced.'
Pakkun's voice cut through Kakashi's thoughts. "But I have more important information. Rember you told to keep an eye on SHIELD activities? I found a lot of suspicious activities."
Kakashi's eyes narrowed further, his thoughts alert. "Like?"
Pakkun's tail flicked. "So of the SHIELD agents don't follow protocol or chain of command. They don't report to their superiors and instead report to soone else first in SHIELD. One such case is Jasper Sitwell, who reports to Alexander Pierce and not that eyepatch guy."
Kakashi's thoughts sharpened. "Sitwell might be directly working under Pierce, but if there are more such agents, then it seems there are different parties in SHIELD with different motives." His mind raced, suspicions of a fractured SHIELD growing. 'Factions within a military organisation is very good.'
Pakkun continued, "There's also so new recruits getting separated from the others and taken to a different facility. The hounds couldn't follow since they usually take the aerial route."
Pakkun's voice grew graver. "And finally, there's the issue of your blood. The blood SHIELD had from you is being transported sowhere."
Kakashi's thoughts froze. Pakkun continued, his nose twitching. "Even though they transported it by airspace, the hounds can sll your blood from continents away, thanks to the summoning contract. We found it being transported to so abandoned research facility, but we slled humans there. So soone's using it as a cover."
Kakashi's lips curled into a smirk beneath his mask,"So the fish has finally taken the bait, huh." His suspicions of foul play within SHIELD were confird.
'Signs were everywhere, but no proof—until now.' His mind raced, plotting. 'I need to know which groups have an interest in SHIELD.'
His thoughts turned to Fury. "Fury wouldn't have let my blood be taken under his watch. Soone must have fooled him. Maybe replacing my blood with soone else's. It's definitely soone high in the chain."
Kakashi had given out his blood to SHIELD for a purpose. He knew about human research and how people would do anything to replicate his abilities. Just like how General Ross wanted to do with the Hulk. He placed his blood as a bait. He knew that his blood was just like any civilians blood. His power ca from chakra. And it's not like he had a natural bloodline that can be stolen and replicated.
His thoughts hardened, recalling his decision to avoid SHIELD's database for finding out more about Creel's attackers.
'I'm glad I didn't report or search about the five who attacked Creel in the Shield database. They'd be monitoring my searches to see if I am on them or not. 'Soone's watching closely.'
Pakkun's thoughts were curious. "You think they're linked to attacking Creel?"
Kakashi's voice was steady, his thoughts certain. "Higher-ups in SHIELD are the only ones who know about Creel and where he lives, since I had to tell them where the enhanced lived to monitor him."
His voice turned firm. "Anyways, keep an eye on things. I'll deal with this after coming from Asgard. Fury wants to go to Asgard and ask about the trip to space to capture Loki. More than capturing Loki, he wants to explore the space and find out more about the universe."
Kakashi chuckled, his thoughts playful. "And it's about ti I give Thor his lightning lessons. I didn't think I'd have more students after how the last ones turned out."
His mind flashed to Naruto's antics, Sasuke's brooding, and Sakura's punches and lovestruck expression, his chuckle growing. There was also a hint of nostalgia in it.
Pakkun said,"The one that would not let bite down on his tasty hamr? Make sure to train him like hell. Maybe give him Guy's training schedule. And when he does, I can have his hamr which I can use as a replacent for my bone."
Kakashi could not help but genuinely laugh at that.
