The office sat high above the city.
Floor-to-ceiling windows revealed the glowing skyline of New York stretching endlessly into the night. Traffic lights blinked far below like scattered stars while the distant hum of the city drifted faintly through the thick glass.
Inside the office, everything was perfectly still. A large mahogany desk stood at the center of the room, surrounded by expensive furniture and polished marble floors. Every object was positioned with careful precision. Nothing here existed by accident.
Behind the desk sat a massive figure. His skin was unnaturally pale, almost like marble carved into human form. His head was shaved clean, and his heavy fra filled the leather chair like a statue brought to life. His expression barely moved — cold, emotionless.
Tombstone.
Three n stood in front of the desk. All of them looked nervous. One of them finally cleared his throat.
"Boss…"
Tombstone didn't look up from the papers in his hands. "What."
The single word fell into the room like a stone dropped into still water. The man swallowed. "We had a problem at the docks tonight."
That made Tombstone pause. He slowly lowered the docunt and lifted his eyes toward them. "Explain."
The first man stepped forward quickly. "We were moving the Harlem shipnt. Everything was going fine… until sothing attacked the warehouse."
Another man jumped in, speaking too quickly. "It wasn't human, boss. I swear."
The third man pulled out his phone with shaking hands. "You should see this." He placed the phone carefully on the desk.
The screen lit up. Two photos appeared.
Tombstone looked down. The first image showed a blue alien blur streaking through the warehouse, its shape sleek and fast, almost reptilian. The second image showed sothing far larger — a massive red creature with four muscular arms smashing apart wooden crates like they were nothing.
For several seconds no one spoke. The n exchanged uneasy glances.
One of them finally broke the silence. "That blue thing moved faster than anything I've ever seen. Half the crew didn't even know what hit them."
Another man added, "It disappeared for a minute… then that second monster showed up and finished everyone. The whole operation was wiped out."
The first man cleared his throat again. "We lost the shipnt too."
Silence returned to the office. Tombstone's pale fingers tapped slowly against the desk. Tap. Tap. Tap.
One of the n shifted nervously. "Boss… should we send more crews after it?"
Tombstone looked up. The man instantly stopped speaking.
The cri boss rose slowly from his chair. The movent alone seed to weigh down the air in the room. He walked around the desk and picked up the phone again, his pale eyes studying the images carefully — the sleek blue creature, the massive four-ard monster. Two completely different forms.
Behind him, one of the n spoke carefully. "It can transform. First the fast one… then the big one."
Tombstone set the phone back down. "You saw both?"
"Yes, boss." Another man nodded quickly. "It wiped out twenty guys. And destroyed the rifles."
The room fell quiet once more. Tombstone walked toward the window. Below him the city stretched endlessly into the distance, traffic moving through the streets like veins of light. For a mont he simply watched.
Find it."
The three n straightened instantly. "Yes, boss."
One of them hesitated. "…Alive?"
Tombstone didn't turn around. "Yes."
The answer made the n exchange uneasy looks.
One of them cleared his throat.
"What if it shows up again?"
Tombstone finally turned to face them.
His expression hadn't changed.
"Then be ready."
He stepped away from the window and walked back toward the desk.
"Keep watching. Track it when it appears."
His eyes moved from one man to the next.
"Figure out what it can do… and what its weakness were "
The words ca out slowly,.
Then he rested a hand on the desk.
"When you know enough… you know what to do right? " He looked the trio with a cold face
The room went quiet.
One of the n nodded quickly.
"Got it, boss."
"We'll spread the word."
"Every crew keeps an eye out. Docks, warehouses… street crews."
"If that thing shows up again, we'll know."
Tombstone didn't respond.
He simply looked out the window at the city lights.
Tombstone picked up the phone once more. He looked at the photo of the red creature smashing through crates, then at the blue blur racing through the warehouse. For the first ti a faint smile appeared on his face. Not excitent, not fear. Just quiet interest.
"Interesting."
The n waited for more orders. None ca. After a mont Tombstone placed the phone back on the desk. "That will be all."
The three n imdiately moved toward the door. But before they left, Tombstone spoke again. "And if you see it…"
They froze.
"Do not damage it ." His pale eyes rested on the glowing skyline beyond the glass. "It belongs to now."
The n nodded quickly. "Yes, boss." The office door closed behind them.
Silence returned. Tombstone remained standing by the window. Far below, New York continued moving like a living machine.
Tombstone looked once more at the photos resting on his desk. The blue alien blur. The four-ard monster. His faint smile returned.
"Let's see what you are."
He reached over and switched off the desk lamp. And the office sank into darkness.
