The whole audience was cheering.

Inside the ring, Peter in his homade spider suit was facing his opponent — a tall guy who called himself the Giant.

"You keep dodging like a coward. Take a punch like a man, or I'm gonna smash you like I smack a spider," the Giant taunted, throwing punch after punch while Peter slipped every one of them effortlessly.

"BOO! BOO!"

So of the audience was already losing interest, wanting a bloodier fight. A girl near the ringside, seeing Peter casually avoid everything, caught the comntator's eye and gave him a quick signal.

"Ladies and gentlen — to make tonight even more exciting, the rules have been changed. This is now a cage fight!"

"OHHH — GO GO GO!"

The crowd exploded. The cage dropped around the ring, weapons lined along the sides.

"What? I didn't sign up for this," Peter said, looking around at the setup.

The Giant didn't wait. He grabbed the nearest weapon and ca at Peter like a savage, swinging and throwing without any control.

"Hey — no violence, okay?" Peter tried, backing up.

The Giant's only answer was another swing.

"Grrf—"

Peter had no choice but to scramble up the cage wall using his powers, buying himself a second to think while the crowd went wild below him.

"FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!"

He couldn't just keep running. He dropped back down, trading hits — but he was holding back, and it showed. The Giant barely felt any of it. They went back and forth for a few minutes until Peter knew he couldn't keep wasting ti. When he spotted an opening, he ran toward the edge of the ring, used it to launch himself, and ca down with a flying kick straight to the Giant's chest.

BOOM.

The Giant hit the mat hard.

"The Giant is down! Let's count — one, two, three… ten!"

The comntator rushed into the ring and raised Peter's hand.

"Ladies and gentlen — the winner of the final round tournant — SPIDER-MAN!"

In the audience, Jack watched Peter's hand go up, then quietly slipped out of the venue.

Back in the office behind the arena, a man sat counting cash.

"One thousand… two thousand… three thousand." He stacked the bills and slid them across the table. "That's your prize. Take it and go."

Peter counted it. Three thousand dollars.

"Three thousand? The prize was ten thousand," Peter said, looking up.

The man gave him a flat look. "Ten thousand was the hype. You cost us a lot of money on the bets tonight. Take what's there and get out."

He turned back to his counting without another word.

Peter was angry, but he didn't know what to say, so he left the room. As he stepped into the hallway, soone bumped into him hard and pushed past, rushing straight into the office.

"Watch where you're going," Peter muttered, rubbing his shoulder. He turned and pressed the elevator button, waiting.

Then — from inside the office — shouting.

"Catch the thief! Stop him!"

The sa guy who'd bumped into him ca sprinting back out and threw himself into the elevator just as the doors opened.

Peter stood there for a second, processing it.

Honestly? That guy deserved to get robbed.

He stepped aside and let the doors close.

"Thanks, kid," the thief said as the elevator shut between them.

"OY — I told you to stop him!" The office man ca panting into the hallway, pointing at Peter.

"Not my business," Peter replied flatly, and headed for the stairs.

Behind him, the man leaned against the wall, out of breath and out of options, before finally pulling out his phone to call the police.

A few blocks away, Ben had been waiting by the car for almost twenty minutes

Ben was waiting on the car, glancing down the street for Peter, when a sharp knock broke the quiet.

He opened it.

"Out. Now," a man said, stepping forward with a gun. "Move, old man. Outside."

Ben blinked, startled but steady. "Son… you don't have to do this."

"Don't talk," the man snapped, pushing him toward the car. "Just move away. I need the car."

Ben didn't back off. He stayed between the man and the vehicle.

"This isn't the way," he said firmly. "Whatever it is — you can still stop."

The robber's hand shook.

"Move!"

Ben stepped forward instead.

The gun fired.

— but nothing happened.

For a split second, the air warped.

A blur.

The bullets dropped harmlessly to the ground.

Before the robber could even react, sothing slamd into him — fast, precise. His wrist twisted, the gun clattered away, and he hit the ground hard. By the ti anyone processed what just happened, the attacker was already pinned.

And the one who stopped him?

Gone.

Ben stood frozen, breathing heavier now, staring at the fallen bullets near his feet.

"…Thank you," he said quietly — though there was no one left to hear it.

Voices started rising around him.

"Did you see that?"

"Where did he go?"

"Was that Hero Blur?"

People began gathering, excitent building, questions overlapping.

Peter walked out of the building and onto the street, hands in his pockets. The cold air hit him, and for a second, it actually felt good. Like the score was settled.

Then he caught pieces of a conversation nearby.

"Did you see that? The blur hero saved that old man — it was insane."

"Yeah, that was close. If he hadn't shown up, the old man would've been shot right there."

"Where did it happen?"

"Near the library."

Peter's chest went tight. His feet were already moving before his brain caught up, and he was running hard down the street.

He pushed through the crowd gathered on the sidewalk and stopped.

Uncle Ben was sitting on a bench nearby. Jack was with him.

"Uncle Ben — Jack — what happened?" Peter asked, breathing hard.

Jack spoke first, keeping his voice calm. "Relax, Peter. Nobody got hurt. A robber tried to steal Uncle Ben's car, and when Ben tried to stop him the guy pulled a gun — but Hero Blur stepped in and stopped it. I got here just before you did."

Peter exhaled slowly, turning to Ben. "Thank God you're okay."

"It's lucky that vigilante was nearby," George said, appearing from behind with Edward. "Otherwise this could've gone very differently."

"Mr. Stacy," Jack said, unsurprised given how close the scene was.

George looked around at all of them, his expression sowhere between concerned and frustrated. "I don't know what you people's problem is. When soone points a gun at you, you cooperate. You don't try to be a hero." His eyes moved between them, making sure the ssage landed.

Peter glanced at Jack. Jack gave him a small look back — he's talking about before too. Ben didn't know that part.

"He's right, Uncle Ben," Peter said quietly. "It was dangerous. It could've gone really bad."

Ben looked at him for a mont, studying his face. There was no anger there — just concern.

"I know," Ben said softly. "I'm not saying I handled it perfectly." He let out a slow breath, glancing toward the car, then back at Peter. "But I couldn't just stand there and let it happen either." A small pause. "When you can do sothing… even sothing small… it's hard to walk away from it." His voice stayed calm, but there was weight behind it. "I just didn't want soone else getting hurt because I chose to do nothing."

"That's the guy who pulled the gun," Jack said, nodding toward the police vehicle where a man sat in handcuffs.

Peter's eyes landed on him and stayed there.

That face.

The robber he hadn't stopped. The one who had co within seconds of shooting Uncle Ben. And there he'd been, feeling good about himself, like he'd gotten his revenge over the prize money — while this man had been out here pointing a gun at his uncle. The guilt hit him all at once, heavier than he expected.

Just as Peter stood there with that weight settling in, Jack noticed sothing he couldn't quite place. A feeling — quiet, persistent. Like soone's eyes on the back of his neck. He'd tried to find it earlier, right before he stepped in to save Ben, but the mont he looked it was already gone.

Still…

He couldn't shake the feeling that sowhere nearby, soone was watching.
