"Haaah! … Haaah!..." I'm supposed to feel happy… but why do I feel so empty?.
I have dread of killing this scum but now that I have his body lying cold on the ground why doesn't it give any sort of pleasure.
I took revenge, I paid back the cris committed against my family , blood for blood… but I couldn't feel an ounce of satisfaction.
" I-I don't feel happy…" The words I have been holding in, flew out of my mouth and not surprisingly I got a reply since I knew from the start that I wasn't alone.
"You are not supposed to… Revenge doesn't bring back the ones you lost but that doesn't an what you did was aningless…" His words resonated with as I couldn't help but gaze at him….

"I-It still hurts…" A choked sob escaped Helena's lips as she gazed listlessly at Adrian who was sitting on the windowsill.
It was like she was grasping for straws as she searched for warmth from the only person she could trust in this city currently.
Adrian let out a sigh as he walked over to Helena and knelt beside her while placing his hand gently on her shoulder.
"Let it out… holding it in won't do you any good… " Adrian's words were gentle as those words were like the signal she needed as tears started to flow down her eyes.
Helena covered her face while sobbing as she leaned against Adrian as his warmth was soothing to her.
Adrian gently patted Helena on her back as she poured out her frustration.
Before long Helena was sobbing heartbrokenly as she clung to Adrian.
But despite this Helena Bertinelli felt free for the first ti in her life…..

" I was never close to my family… and maybe what I wanted wasn't revenge but just a reason to justify my anger and hate…" Helena smiled ruefully as she just vented to Adrian who listened silently.
In the end she was just filled with anger and fury due to her childhood , as being from a cri family ant all the negatives entailed , and she never got to experience the warmth and love of a family.
Even without the Bertinelli being murdered she would have lost her family since she never had a family to begin with.
There was no warmth or care , only negelect and indifference and the fact that she was soone else's bastard made her understand that she was never a part of the Bertinelli to begin with.
With her revenge completed she didn't have anywhere left to go and this profound emptiness was the only thing that remained….

"Hmm?" Adrian tilted his head as he gazed at Helena who had fallen asleep on his shoulder.
The intense roller coaster of emotions had taken a toll on her making her quite fatigued owing to the fact that she had never had good sleep in years due to the nightmares , made her fall asleep in Adrian's presence as he made her feel safe.
Helena had insomnia ever since the night her family died as the trauma stuck with her making unable to comfortably sleep.
But surprisingly Adrian's warm presence made her comfortable enough to fall asleep and before she knew it she was deep asleep and by the smile on her face it must be sothing pleasant…..

Amanda Waller's residence…

Amanda Waller was fresh out of the bath with a towel around her hair … which wasn't actually necessary with how little hair she had and a skimpy bathrobe around her toad-like body.
Luckily Amanda lived alone as nobody would have to ever witness this atrocity except for a very unlucky Adrian who was sitting on a chair beside her balcony as both Amanda Waller and Adrian stared at each other.

Adrian didn't hesitate as he brought out so bleach from his inventory as he lowered the defenses of his eyes so he could wash them.
It stung and it burn, but it was way better than having this toad being imprinted on his eyeballs, but sadly Adrian would have to witness more of where this ca from….

"Breaking in unauthorised- " Amanda Waller was going to go on one of her usual powerplay threat like monologues but Adrian was having none of that.
" Shut your bitch ass up…" Adrian had zero decorum or politeness towards the woman before him because apparently she was trying to forcibly enlist him into her Task Force X like he was so commodity not to ntion he knew what this Task Force was.
Using criminals or vigilantes , planting bombs in their heads and making them do near suicidal missions with most of them being the governnts dirty work.
"Y-You! - " Waller's face flushed in anger as she had never been disrespected like not after she beca what she is today.
People fear her for what she is capable of yet this nobody from so unknown planet dared to insult her.
Did he think the Justice League would protect him ?
Waller vowed that she would make this guy regret barging into her ho and insulting her if it's the last thing she did…..
